Vampire Prosecutor’s new trailer and poster

It’s a new season for Vampire Prosecutor, and there’s a new evil in town. Looks like another fierce vamp-versus-vamp showdown is in the making, even if all we get to see for now is a shadowy silhouette and a mysterious-looking tattooed hand holding a wine goblet. Which, in this drama, is probably more likely to be a spicy O-negative blend than a dusky cabernet.
Season 2’s premiere is fast approaching (ohhhh yeah), which gives us another poster and trailer featuring our resident vamp and hero, Yeon Jung-hoon, who fights baddies by day using the law and by night using his supernatural powers of strength, martial arts, and sizzling hotness. What, like that’s NOT a superpower?
In the teaser below, we get a tiny bit more info compared to the show’s initial teaser, which was admittedly very stylish but told us tantalizingly little about the plot. This one’s still shrouded in vagueness, but at least we get to see a falling body or two, as well as Mr. Tattoo. Yeon Jung-hoon scans the crowd and lands on said mystery man, smiles, then says, “Found you!” He follows that with the Season 2 tagline, “Cold blood, meet bad blood.”
Vampire Prosecutor 2 thankfully brings back its main cast—teammate Lee Young-ah and cop-buddy Lee Won-jong—and kicks off on OCN on September 11.

There needs to be a K-Drama version of The Avengers. YJH is probably of the right age to play the equivalent of Iron Man. Lee Min-Ho and Kim Bum would co-star, because, well, reasons.

Hey, oftheshore-I like the way you think. Those reasons are important. ;) I think YJH would be a great Bruce Banner. Cha Seung Won would make a fabulous Korean Iron Man. I'd like to add Jung Il-woo to the K Drama Avengers "dream" cast. Because of, well, reasons.

Totally digging the skrillex. This show had great music choices hope it keeps to that.
Also can someone answer something for me because I've been confused about something in the previous season. Was the bartender guy a vampire all along or was he changed by JH's character?

Didn't watch Season 1 of VP - can't really remember why, but I'm currently watching Can Love Become Money with YJH and really like him in this.
This S2 promo is certainly stylish and HOT. This time around, I'll give it a go.

I recently watched all the episodes. thought the show was a fun watch, didn't have to invest too much into thinking really. It was pretty much a basic formula. When you watch the episodes back to back you can really the pattern that each episode followed except the last ones wrapping up the season. I like the cast. I do not find YJH particularly hot, but he's a fun actor in the role. It's definitely a different approach which is good because exactly how much attention would he want to draw as a public official? Every episode I watched I kept thinking YJH looks a LOT like Gong Hyo-jin, she could be his sister. I will definitely watch this but probably it will go on the catch up when I can list, depending on the other shows out, and well, college class work load.

YAY! the hottest blood-taster in kdramaverse is back. Gold. I can't get enough of him. I don't feel like watching ep18 of CLBM ... just don't wanna see my vampie crying awwww ... maybe i'll just wait until the three remaining episodes will be subbed, then watch the last episode first and watch ep18 & 19 last lol!

After a while I bailed on Season 1.
Not that it was a bad series, but neither the characters or the crime scenarios were enough to hold my interest.
I know that I have hung on to watch some (as I like to call) dreck, but either they were hilariously bad, was willing to grit it for an actor/actress or was hoping that it would get better (to no avail).
Probably will give Season 2 a shot, but hope that either the crime scenarios are more interesting (such as CSI when when CSI was good) or there more comic banter btwn the crime-fighters (as in "Buffy" or "Angel").

bd- I hear you, it can be fluffy have fun and forget about it kind of viewing- it's definitely a light procedural crime formula, it's not got a lot of layers in the story, we don't get a lot of layers in character personality, and we are not going to see the level of sophistication in dialogue or content anything to compare to Buffyverse.
It's really to me more of a crime/mystery episodic thing than supernatural thrilling or compelling vampire hotty, so I take it for that not for the supernatural aspects. Once I did that, I liked it better.

I stuck with season one because it was fun but I found it all style and no substance, and there were far too many unanswered questions by the end. The crime scenarios were very standard and formulaic but I stuck around for the main mystery which really let me down in the end! :( This season looks set to follow the same formula and therefore I find myself not really looking forward to it. But like you I will give it a shot, if only to see if it takes the potential that season 1 showed and finally fulfulling it.

I could have lived w/o the witty/funny banter a la Buffyverse (don't expect too many dramas to be able to replicate that) if the crime procedural aspect had been more interesting.
But the criminal aspect was very formulaic and simplistic, particularly how the characters solved the "crime of the hour" (the whole drinking the blood thing to catch glimpses of memories wasn't really done very well and was used too often a crutch).

I don't mind if these shows follow a formula but I agree it can be done so much better- as you said, these were a little simplistic. And I think for me what this show really missed was "heart". thats what I meant by all style, no substance. sure, it was pretty, light entertainment and they were going out of their way to make it look "cool" but it never felt gripping, nor did any of the cases ever move me. The cases felt a little shallow, and the flashy blood visions didn't help. They tried to use the blood visions as a way to be unique but in the end I didn't like how they were used either. they could have solved the cases without them. and it confused me how sometimes he had to have samples, yet other times he just got blood from the scene and sometimes he just saw the visions. i didn't get the rules for that. But in the end I have stuck through much worse for that fragile thread of hope that it would get better *sigh*

Fingers crossed it keeps up the standard! Was so excited for God's Quiz 3 but for some reason am just not as hooked as the previous seasons (i think i miss the gf a little too much maybe he he!) hopefully TEN follows right up, sweet!
And that cop buddy ahjussi is a riot, luv him and all his previous characters (c'ept for Equator Man maybe!)

He's one of my favorite actors but he was always in the shadow, I'm glad he's having much more attention and good drama's nowadays :D

I think Kim Jaejoong would do a good job at it (even though he is still new to dramas, not to mention Dr. Jin just wrapped up)! I doubt it's him. But, I wonder who it could be?
