Vampire Prosecutor 2 begins filming

This may be the first K-drama sequel I’m this excited about (or excited at all), but who could resist the sexy, stylish, cleverly scripted, and skillfully shot paranormal-procedural Vampire Prosecutor? Season 2 has been buzzed about almost as soon as Season 1 wrapped (or, in fact, before that), and now it is almost upon us. (This fall!) And now we’ll have to make do until then with the one tantalizing, all-too-short preview clip below.
Thanks be, all of our main cast members are back for more — because who could replace Yeon Jung-hoon as the sexiest badass bloodsucker in dramaland? Lee Young-ah is back as his prosecutor teammate, which is great because I thought their dynamic was very fun to watch — a little cheeky, a little flirty, with a little bit of raw connection in fleeting moments — and would love to see it develop further. And yay for Lee Won-jong, coming back as coarse cop Soon-bum, ready to resume the bromance with his vampy best buddy.
Gaaah. So. Sexy.
Most of the promo clip is pretty self-explanatory, but there’s one bit of copy that piques my interest (even more, I mean): as the hands holding wine goblets converge, we get the tagline “Cold blood, meet bad blood.” Hmm, could that have to do with the new Big Bad in town? Last season gave us a season-long running arc that culminated in a Vampire vs. Vampire face-off, and this season promises another showdown. Week to week, our prosecutor team will continue solving cases and kicking asses. And continue being cheeky and adorable too, I presume. I hope.
The first season boasted a pretty awesome directorial flair, so the one thing that has me nervous is that the director has switched: instead of PD Kim Byung-soo who went on to direct Queen In-hyun’s Man, we’re getting PD Yoo Sun-dong, whose credits include Quiz King and Death Bell 2. I don’t know how I feel about that. I’m definitely disappointed because PD Kim is awesome, but I’m hoping that since Season 1 had such a distinctive style and mood, the new director will do his best to continue it. This is a pretty buzzworthy sequel — the first season had impressively high ratings numbers, hitting 4% which was at the time the highest ever on cable, and still among the top performers — so I can’t see the producers throwing the project to someone they didn’t have faith in. *Crosses fingers and prays* The writers have stayed on from last season.
Vampire Prosecutor 2 began filming last week and will premiere on OCN in September. *Marks calendar*

I despise his hair!!!! What in the world were they thinking? Makes him look tooooooo feminine (in my opinion) and especially when you add the dark liner too....uh..hell naw...don't go making a pussy out of THE Vampire Prosecutor....ugh..I'm soooo mad...

TvN keeps pumping out good dramas. Soon enough, all the good actors, writers and directors will be flocking to them. Selling to mainland china is making them big bucks.

Not digging the curly mop or the guy liner. He doesn't need it.He looks HOT no matter what. I hope Yeon Jung hoon returns to his original hairstyle.
Loved him in Can Love Become Money.He is the most sexy vampire. He's even better than Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows.
Season one was AWESOME. I am so happy the original cast is back. I am definitely going to watch this one. Love it. Can't wait until September.(Happy dance)

Yes Yes Yes! Loved the first season and the chemistry the main cast had. Glad that all 3 are back...if not, I would probably think first before watching it. Hope it still moves at a fast pace with lots of humour in between =D

I wish that he had never acted in Can Love change Money or something... He was really HAWT and sexy and mysterious and just so damn CHARMING at vampire prosecutor! He just lost all of that quality and I couldn't look at him the same way as a vampire prosecutor after watching that show.
Anyways I'm really looking forward to seeing Yeon Jun-hoon again as a vampire!!!

Haha ... for me is diff, I watch Can Love change Money first then got hooked on him, and continue on to VP1 and got more hooked. So his image of VP is stronger in my head now thus prepared to move on to VP2 :P

So excited to read this news!! Like many - i don't dig the hair do nor the eye make-up. I call it make up as it is more than just the eyeliner (see the last photo!!) in Season 1. I really hope that this is just for promo shoots only and he would not be wearing this much eye makeup during the drama!
Loved the picture of Lee Young-Ah - she looks more matured and love her long hair. Can't wait to see if there is more between her and our sexy Vampire Prosecutor in Season 2!!

OMG this is the first time that I am so excited for a drama. I loved vampire prosecutor so this time I promise myself that I'll watch the second it comes out on dramafever. They better sub it. Im gonna be as dedicated to watching it as running man. :DDDDDDDD

finally...SALIVAITING :) don't really like sequels either BUT i'm hoping this one will deliver ( and even if it don't HE is in it ) i LOVE his hair and makeup so I'M hoping he will have something like that in the drama
