Yoon Eun-hye for High Cut

This shoot is both hit and miss all in one, which is interesting, but I do really love two of the looks on Yoon Eun-hye, featured in the current issue of High Cut. The jumpsuit is something almost no one can pull off in actual life — you want to look like a 60s goddess but look more like you’re in a pajama onesie, and going to the bathroom becomes an unnecessarily gymnastic effort. But man am I always jealous when someone looks good in one.
The middle shots I’m just going to title “Want a Piece o’ That?” and “I Don’t Share My Ice Cream.” Perhaps she found the onesie frustrating after all and decided it was best to be pantsless. As is the case with most days in life. The last look I love, because I want me to have that dress. It’s possibly my new favorite thing. I will call that one: “Don’t Cry Over Spilt Shirley Temples.”
Despite my disappointment with pretty much all of her more recent projects, I do always hold out hope that her next will be the one to strike gold. Because while she can ride the love from Goong and Coffee Prince for as long as she wants, she shouldn’t. I want to love her in a new project, and I want her to do something challenging. No more safe. Here’s to hoping.

Yeahh thats absolutely what come across my mind when thinking bout Yoon Eun-hye and Running Man!
I would love to see Sparta Kook all over his knee when seeing YEH as a guest in RM, and maybe Shin Bong Sun will go all out with her strength and even more broomstick to protect her Kookie ;p

not gonna happen. maybe after JJH and YEH are married. there's a chance that she'll go, i.e. if RM's still on the air by that time. right now, they keep bringing up her name to create buzz for the ratings. they should be ashamed of themselves. even kjk is embatassed. he knows the real score. heeey, YEH that's why JJH says "and you give yourself away, and you give, and you give..."

Last picture was nice. I think the problem is Coffee Prince set the bar high for her and she has not had any good one since; at least not one that I actually liked (Lie to Me) or finished (Take Care of the Lady). Movie Little Black Dresses was ok.

I'm waiting for the whole photoshoot to come out as well as the interview. Read that she did the Ideal World Cup with 8 choices: Kang Ji Hwan, Gong Yoo, Joo Ji Hoon, Lee Sun Kyun, Hyun Bin, Jung Il Woo, Kim Soo Hyun, and Kim Jong Kook.... Really tough choices... Probably one of the toughest since she has strong shippers for several of them, so I am curious on who she chose...

how bout LSG?! the man (oh boy, look how much he has grown in my eyes since tk2h hehe) has been getting hits after hits (tk2h may not rate as high as the others but quality-wise, it's at the top of my list), maybe she could use his superpowers in deciding her next project. LSG chooses well so i hope she goes for it especially they're both good in rom-coms, they could really use each other's charm. pardon my excitement but they are 2 of my fave k-actors, i would to see them in a show together. i hope they can work with the tk2h staff and production crew again, writer and director, such a great team!

She doesn't need LSG's superpowers in deciding her next project. she is perfectly capable of picking her next project if she wants to. all she needs to do is stop with the loyalty crap and pick a project that she really wants to do.
K2H was not that well-received in Korea so I wouldn't really consider it a hit.

I beg to differ...K2h is popular in Korea,unlike what the ratings seem to reflect. But you are right she has to be more wise with her decisions in her projects. Lately she seems to be playing the same characters, so it makes me think as an actress, she's not that versatile. I feel that her now defunct project with the late park hong hwa was promising,had it not been cancelled.

Ha Ji Won also plays the same tough and ass kicking characters over and over again but she doesn't get as much shit for it unlike Yoon Eun Hye.
I feel that Yoon Eun Hye is probably the most controversial actress in Korea cause everything she does is overly magnified may it be good or bad.

I'm thinking that she'll choose Lee Sun Kyun since he is the only one who is unavailable and she'll probably want to avoid more scandals.
Just imagine the shipping wars amongst fans if she actually chooses someone else. I don't know any other actress who is shipped with many different men as much as Yoon Eun Hye... Probably because she looks good and has chemistry with just about everybody and anybody.

Well Lee Sun Kyun and Yoon Eun Hye are the closest amongst her former (male) costars since they always support each other's works. She's been to many of his movie premieres and he is the only male costar I know that went to hers....

Let's begin. Who's closer to you ideal type between Kang Ji Hwan and Joo Ji Hoon?
Haha, well...I guess I'm more comfortable with Ji Hoon. We were in Goong together as colleagues who have grown up (in career) together like friends. He's honest and I still have good memories of him from back then.
Honestly, both are not really my style as an ideal man. Kang Ji Hwan has a pretty man style and is kind, but you know how women don't like men who are kind to every woman (laugh). So if I must choose between the two, I'd give a vote to Joo Ji Hoon with a caring mind.
Okay, then the second match is between Gong Yoo and Lee Sun Kyun of Coffee Prince.
Ah, this one is tough since I thought Gong Yoo was closer to my ideal type back then but Lee Sun Kyun has become more attractive after his marriage. Um..but if I had to pick an ideal type, I think Lee Sun Kyun is closer to my ideal type.
Then what about between yesterday's hot trend and today's hot trend, Hyun Bin and Kim Soo Hyun?
Well, of course you'd have to go with today's hot trend, right? haha..I don't know Kim Soo Hyun that well, but I think he has a nice voice and he acts well. I thought his image when he acted was very attractive since his debut days.
The final match is between Jung Il Woo and Kim Jong Gook. Which was is closer to your ideal type?
Wah~ between Jung Il Woo and Kim Jong Gook? Aren't their styles too different? Il Woo may be disappointed if he hears this but I don't really like younger men. Il Woo is more of a hard working cute friend to me. I think Kim Jong Gook would be closer to ideal type.
I guess you like guys who are big and muscular?
No. It's just that I hope the guy makes me look thin when I'm standing next to him. I think since I was a young girl, I've always wanted to be the feminine girl when standing next to a guy.

I know that she's currently studying Film Production at Chung Ang University, but she said that she'll have a new drama and movie in the second half of 2012 :) I can't wait to see her back on screen!

I don't understand why people didn't like Lie to Me. It was the first Korean drama I watched and was layered with humor, coming of age, drama, personal growth. Too many positives to name, and yes, that drama had some flaws.
Everyone I know LOVED it.
Didn't get the appeal of Coffee Prince; there was zero chemistry between her and the co-star. But it was an interesting premise. Just started watching Goong.
Here is hoping she has another project with Khang Ji-hwan.

Wow! Its their chemistry that made it so great. Coffee Prince was one of those unforgettable comtemporary trendy kdramas out there and you didnt get the fuss about it and you actually like Lie To Me???
Oh my! I'm surprised. Most people do not like LTM including me and I am a YEH fan. It was a MESS!
Oh well, to each his own. People have different tastes. I'm just surprised that there are people likng LTM over CP.

I'm personally holding out watching LTM because of the reviews but read that she did have great chemistry with KJH. But yeah I'm pretty confused too, coz GY and YEH had off the charts chemistry on CP! I guess to each their own :D

You should never hold out on watching a drama just because of reviews. People have different taste what they dont like you might end up liking.
I think the thing about reading reviews by bloggers, is that it influences a lot of viewers opinions about certain dramas. I've noticed that just because popular blog sites post a bad review about certain dramas, their blog followers end up saying that they dont like those dramas as well, sometimes even without having seen the drama yet.
So i suggest you watch the drama first and then form your own opinion.
There's been many instances in which I have read bad reviews about some dramas, but I ended up disagreeing with the reviewer after watching. So watch with an open mind and dont let the reviews cloud your opinion.

To clarify, I didn't say that LTM was not good at all. I don't honestly have an opinion on LTM but yes, I will admit that because of the reviews I will put it on my later to-watch series rather than on my watch-it now list. I was disagreeing more with the OP's take on the GY-YEH chemistry on CP.
I'm fairly (wait, VERY) new to the dramaland community. And to me, reading the recaps/reviews does help me decide which dramas to watch. Reading drama blogs I think has its good and bad - good being I can keep up with the latest dramas and read the past ones, bad because I may make an uninformed judgment of what to NOT watch based on someone else's opinion and might miss out on the fun.
But to your point - I do agree with you that a bad review should never stop me or anybody else from watching something based on a review or someone else's opinion of it. Reviews in general are VERY subjective and each of us can form our opinions based on our own experiences/thoughts of the same subject/object.

Not everyone's opinion is worth the same.
LTM was sinply AWFUL - bad writing, acting, directing, etc.
Most people like crap, so it can also work the other way (where positive reviews don't mean much).

I think it was the chemistry for alot of people. I agree the story was all over the place but even my nigerian mother watched with me for 5 minutes and was hooked. As soon as one episode of lie to me was over, she wanted to see the next one. I was speechless!! She really liked the two leads and was rooting for them. She's never really gotten into any other korean drama since then. She thinks there is too much yelling and hitting in other k-dramas haha...

The writing for LTM (as well as the acting) was simply horrendous, unlike for CP.
And there was tons of chemistry btwn YEH and GY in CP while the "chemistry" in LTM was forced.
YEH has done 1 good project (actually great) and that is CP.
Goong is fine for tweeners, but like BOF, actually isn't very good.
YEH is a cute girl and can look really good, but I wouldn't exactly put her in the beautiful camp; her face can look a bit weird at certain angles.

lmaooo I rarely even see chemistry i saw between YEH and KJH in american TV/movies. As I said, my mother who is so far removed from korean dramas/culture and doesn't even watch much TV remarked at how great of a couple they were together and even said they looked like a real couple sometimes. Hell, she was shy as heck towards KJH in LTM's wrap up party video. They were both so shy towards each other but she in particular looked at him like she was enamored.
YEH and GY had chemistry yes but it was more friendly imo. Even in real life, they were very comfortable with each other and had a open, friendly vibe....
Anyway, it's all opinion anyways but I just wanted to present mine. She's cute with both but is probably nothing but friends with either of them anyway.

I always love her photshoots. She is a very good model.
Yoon Eun Hye's downfall is her extremely loyal nature. It is a good trait to have for regular folks but not for a korean celebrity like her, cause the industry will just use her and spit her out alive.
She did Take Care of The Young Lady, Lie To Me and My Black Minidress out of loyalty and favor to the production and PD's.
Take Care Of The Young Lady Production, had so many problems that it was postponed for a year. Yoon Eun Hye should have not stuck with it for that long and just picked a different project.
Lie To Me is produced by same production company as Love Song (a promising melodrama), which Yoon Eun Hye was supposed to do with Park Yong Ha...it did not push through because Park Yong Ha committed suicide.
According to the Verdi Media CEO, Yoon Eun Hye felt so bad for the production, that she promised him she would do the next drama that they would produce and that turned out to be (Lie To Me). The PD was very surprised when Yoon Eun Hye kept her promise, cause there was no contract whatsoever and she has received so many good offers and scripts from other companies.
My Black Minidress she also did as a favor to director Heo In Moo.
So I think she needs to stop being Mother Theresa and think about herself on her next project. She needs to pick something she likes...just like she did with Goong and Coffee Prince. No more doing a project to help production companies and PD's! It's ok to be selfish and think about yourself once awhile.

not neccesarily...different management is not a factor cause she already got the lead part in Goong without the help of the management company. It took her awhile to find an agency. PD Hwang In Roe was pretty set on making her the lead inspite of the investors threatening of backing out and the protest about having a singer turned actress as the main lead in such a huge project. During the audition, he instantly knew she had raw talent and a lot of drive. He knew she'd become a star. He chose YEH over bigger named stars at that time and that shows how much PD Hwang believed in her talent. He basically discovered her.
During Coffee Prince she was in a big feud with her then agency, because they pulled her out of Que Sera, Sera to make her star in a different drama eventhough she already attended the script reading for Que Sera, Sera. So she rebelled and quit her agency and went against their wishes by starring in Coffee Prince...the best decision she's ever made that catapulted her to major stardom. So as along as YEH picks her own projects that she likes, its a hit. But if she does a project that's not her personal choice but out of layalty like My Fair Lady, Lie To Me and My Black Minidress, then it doesn't go so well. That's why it's very important that on her next project, she picks a projects of her choice....not out of loyalty and no more favors to others, but a good drama of her choice just like the good ol days.

I love her and has followed every piece of work she's been in, but sadly Lie To Me and My Fair Lady tanked. And Mini Black dress was just alright.
Here's hoping she will do great in her next role! She should pick something like that Cass beer advertisement with 2PM, it was too short but she was so believable and awesome n it. Dark, creepy and very intense. She would totally rock the female fatale role as she's so very versatile.

Yes, her feud with her ex agency (8peaks) left her a bitter mark. She's got "pernicious anemia". Just take a look at how skinny she was in the beginning episodes of CP.
More over she have to pay the salaries of her crews with her own money then cause her ex agency got her payment.
Really, people who said that she's got her status/position easily didn't know her struggle all this time

Wow. I didn't know that Yoon Eun Hye kept her promised with her producers for last two projects (Lie To Me & My Black Minidress). Aw, she is too nice to others who praised and grateful to her because of her successful promises.
True, she should have to pick her future new projects by her own ~ instead of doing this for others from companies. I really hope that she will definitely get hit (also, like Goong and Coffee Prince drama in that past) someday. :)

Most of YEH's fans knew about this since they follow her every news. So some of them were really upset when YEH's blamed for MFL & LTM's failure.
Personally I feel that she's been treated unfairly just because her latest projects were such a mess (messy plots)

It's quite sad that she does thinks out of the goodness of her heart but gets all that negativity in return. That's why I hope she will no longer do that and think about herself for once. Being a bit selfish is a must to survive in the ruthless business that she's in.

LTM was just sloppy writing overall. It had a stellar cast and a good director, but they had a newbie writer who had no idea what to do beyond the premise--even with source material and then they switched the writer which made it tank even more--painfully even. *sighs* The chemistry was even there--I squarely blame the writers. (KJH... A waste of a pairing if I ever saw one.)
MFL was the fault of the writer again. I thought the acting wasn't that bad... but the writing just made me drop it. It was clear it was the writing, not the delivery.
I liked her in Vineyard Man, though no one really recognizes her for that. Yes, the kiss was a bit awkward towards the end, but it was all kinds of cute and turned clichés on its head in some ways.
She sacrificed a lot to be in Coffee Prince--not getting paid for a while (Her manager was paying her for a while) and all of that, which earned my respect, but the girl needs to find the project, not the people she's just as passionate about. Her instincts are usually good when she does that. I love how she invests herself in her characters, which helps me to look over any acting flaws, because it's easy to be blindsided by her passion.
She should go for a Hong Sisters drama--her acting and their writing is a good fit. She has good comedic timing and their characters tend to go towards childish.
Anyway, I would love that and her on Running Man. She needs to go on Running Man. It'll be epic. =P Though I've seen on her forum fans outraged that he's denying things... but really, the original love line was fake anyway and he's cracking jokes. So, it'll be nice to give him a kick--especially since he's weak to girls. A wrestling match even since she's an ace.

Vineyard Man is also my favorite drama of hers and actually she got recognition for her acting in Vineyard Man. She won the best actress award at the Grimme Awards for her very touching performance in this drama.
I think its not as popular as her other dramas is because viewers didn't find Oh Man Seuk goodlooking and he was also married at that time.
Vineyard Man is also one of the very few dramas that was able to survive in ratings against Jumong.

Sign me up as a fan for Vineyard Man, as well! This was my introduction to Yoon Eun Hye and I guess you never forget your first love. :) As for all of her other projects, I like them because YEH is in them. Not once have I had a problem with acting or her characters. Maybe they're not all filet mignon, but hamburgers and pizza suit me just fine, too...

You might be right about with all those info but the fact that YEH is not a teenager any longer, stronger but wittier character seems to fit her age, and I think without any bias, Lie to me seems the best 'she' so far, the funny YEH is there with a lot of drama as well. Some people might think of the plot predictable but I really find LTM very entertaining which I think is the most important part of being an entertainer/ actors... To entertain the viewers.. I laughed and cried and laught again throughout the series.. KJH and YEH is such a great love team! Hope to see them onscreen soon! ;x

I watched the 1st episode of Gong Yoo's show today & I kept wondering if they were trying to remind the audience of Yoon Eun-hye, the way they presented Lee Min-jung. The big lips, the hairstyle that's like YEH's hair at the end of 'Coffee Prince,' the nutty-cute behavior, & that last scene that's straight out of 'Coffee Prince.'

Usually I would say that it's a coincidence but The Hong Sisters are known to have always been offering scripts and roles to Yoon Eun Hye and I always find something that reminds me of Yoon Eun Hye in their dramas.

Or she may be intimidated at the same time that she can't live up to the writing--more I think the stars just haven't aligned properly yet. I don't think she's that snobbish to turn down their scripts and say it's not challenging. If Gong Yoo takes on scripts, then she shouldn't have trouble when it's female-centric.
Several of their roles are delicious to an actor's eye--even if not to your eye.
Playing a half-monster, half sex-crazed must have been fun.
And playing someone immature with heart problems--you could see how CSW LOVED that role--especially since he got so many serious roles before.
Hong Gil Dong was also kind of challenging from an actor POV, I would think. You have to play a good guy with questionable morals going against a government with a bit of a bad guy streak and something for women that gradually falls for a somewhat childish sidekick/love interest.
And Fantasy Couple, Han Ye Seul's character was a pretty complex role, though it doesn't look like it on the outside.
Gong Yoo is definitely cherishing the fact he can act like a child with a lot of relish.
Their characters look deceptively simple on the surface, but there is complexity underneath--and the track record of having good actors has helped make the complex look simple, otherwise she wouldn't even take the time to consider their scripts. (Which she did)

Heck no she wouldn't be intimidated. Hong sister's drama is right up her alley. Just like Kang Ji Hwan said in one of his interviews, YEH is the romcom queen.
I do agree that YEH wouldn't be snobby to turn down a script and say its not challenging enough. I think its got more to do about timing. From what I have heard Hong Sister's have offered her to be in their drama 3 times.
She said in one of her interviews that she gets hundreds of scripts a month and its imposible to be able to read them all. So it could also be that by the time she's read the Hong Sister's script, she has already committed to another project.
She also couldn't accept some of Hong Sister's offers because she promised Yigim Production and Verdi Media that she'd help them by taking on one of her dramas. We all know that YEH does not break her promises.

I don't think it's hard to look good in a jumpsuit as long as the pants portion isn't wide-legged or an exaggerated harem-style. Oh, and also as long as the jumpsuit is form fitting but not form hugging. Just say no to cameltoes, lol.
And personally, I don't see any fashion misses in this photo shoot. Actually, my least favorite outfit is the black lacy dress, because I find the material to be rather dull and borderline frumpy. I guess I can't imagine what items would complement and finish that look. Like it's too vintage to wear with modern accessories, and it's too fancy to wear with casual accessories. And it's black. Wear too much black and you risk looking either wannabe goth or unimaginative. Meh. I guess it could look good with some dark, cognac leather. Like a pair of oxford flats. Aksdfjla;fksa I spend too much time thinking about clothes -_-"

Yoon Eun Hye is my first and only love. She inspires me to work hard to achieve my goals no matter how tough it gets.

I have nothing but praise for Yoon Eun Hye (plus I love her name it's so cute to me). I mean that girl is a hustler and hey it's impossible to hate a hustler.

I like that in some photos (not these) she looks very plain and ordinary; and in others she looks extraordinary. One of those celebrities that I would like to see live to see how they really look.
Saw John Travolta several years ago, he looks better in-person than on-screen. He is tall, black eyelashes and hair, beautiful deep blue eyes. It was the opposite with Patrick Swayze, he was short, skinny, and his head looked too big for his body. Plus, bad skin. Not-so-attractive in-person, better on-screen.
YEH photographs slim, or big in the hips, plain-faced, or glamorous-georgeous; HOW does she really look?

^ Her classmates in College wrote on their blogs that they were shocked at how beautiful she was in person. They said that before they thought she looked kind of plain, so it surprised them that she looked so good in person. Her classmate from China also said that she goes to school without a trace of makeup and that her skin was flawless, blemish free They said she is very skinny in person but comes across bigger on magazines and tv.

I also want to see her in a good drama or movie. She need to pick up a challenging role for herself, no more playing save. All her work so far were romantic-comedy type. Her photo shoot are all hot, spicy, sexy, dangerous, etc but why cant she pick up some work like that too?

She is not playing safe she said on her interview that 95% of the script that is sent to her are all romantic comedy.
The drama Love Song that she accepted and didn't push through was a heavy melodrama, but Park Yong Ha who was supposed to be her leading man killed himself, that's why Love Song didn't push through. It was because Park Yong Ha that the project can no longer be done, so why is Yoon Eun Hye the one paying for his actions by being constantly blamed that she isn't taking on a different genre? She even helped the production company of Love Song because she felt sorry for them by appearing in their other produced drama Lie To Me, yet instead of a thank you, people have done nothing but blame her.

I think the reason why My Fair Lady and Lie To Me got low ratings because the main lead actor didn't handsome enough compared with YEH. I prefer second lead in there, so I didn't finish watching it.
Now I want to see YEH in melodrama with Jo In Sung. He's so good at crying scene in What Happened in Bali.
