The gentlemen strut their stuff

Okay, I haven’t really been wowed by any of the promo stills from A Gentleman’s Dignity yet, but I have to admit, F44 strutting down the street for the poster shoot is kind of awesome. Cue Rat Pack music, slow motion intro with a close-up of Jang Dong-gun, a smirky grin from Kim Min-jong, a wink from Kim Suro, a 360-turn from Lee Jong-hyuk when they walk past a beautiful girl… Damn, now I’m just going to be disappointed that this drama isn’t as Ocean’s Eleven as I want it to be.
If anything, this show has been smooth in the PR department, sending out endless stills every time you think you might forget about the show. And with a cast this star-studded, it’s not hard to drum up interest. It must be their doing (or perhaps a word trend that’s everywhere right now), but the Korean press keeps calling the gentleman quartet Angujeonghwa, which you might remember as the name of Shut Up Flower Boy Band‘s rock band, meaning literally “a visual so pleasing it cleans out your eyes.”
I still find the term slightly embarrassing — even when the brash young band of hotties did it, I was like, damn, you think a lot of yourselves. But I just automatically associate the term with that drama, so it sets up a really weird comparison. Don’t get me wrong–the oppas are plenty hot. It’s just that A Gentleman’s Dignity conjures up pretty much the farthest possible image from the Angujeonghwa in my mind. Perhaps it’s just a word I’m going to have to disassociate from Shut Up now, if it’s going to be co-opted all willy-nilly.

They look so awesome! I just know I'm going to be disappointed because my expectations are just spiraling to a point I know the writer will never be able to meet. At least the cast is superb.

I would just plonk down hard, senseless, like my grandma's 300-year-old oak tree if it were ever to fall, right across their paths, and the ground would shake and the skies darken. And they'd fight each other to get to me. Of course I'd have the good sense before I lose my senses to make sure I fall nearest to Lee Dong Gun. In fact, I think I'll fall clutching his pants and let it R-I-PPPPP oh-so-gracefullyyyyyy down down down.....

Ah man, girlfriday just HAD to make that Ocean's Eleven comparison... now I'm getting slightly sad too, if only just slightly (since there's an Ocean's Eleven movie korea style with Kim Soo Hyun lol)
But, I cannot wait for the drama, if only for the manly pretty and dose of nostalgia. I dont even think I'll mind (too much) if the drama is bad. Trying not to get my hopes up too high.

I think I'll watch this drama, regardless of the plot. F44 is hot. *_* And I actually like KHN as the leading lady. Her character in On Air was incredibly aggravating, but she was great in Blind. I hope her character here is good too.

I've finally understood why Jang Dong Gun is THE top male actor in Korea. He basically screams charisma. He's got that masculine yet refined vibe where you can't hate a single thing about him. *Swoon*

I'm glad Jang Dong Gun is back!
But I disagree that he should belong to F44 coz he doesn't look like one. HE's only 40 years old and in person, he looks like a 30 yr old guy. And also, I'm quite amused that a lot people here doesn't know him when he is such a household name in Korea. His name is always being mentioned in Korean dramas because he's that popular in Korea until now.

Not gonna lie, but I kind of wish Jung Woo-sung is included in the cast. Him and Jang Dong-gun had that bromance chemistry in the Giordano ads (kind of like we're-both-in-love-with-the-same-woman-but-we're-friends-so-we're-still-friends vibe).
And Yoon Kye-sang too. He's not an ahjusshi per se, but, he's YKS. He's Pil-joo.
But I can deal with these ahjusshis. They're a feast to any woman's eyes.

Kim Min Jong is the oldest among the 4 (born 1971) and he is also the shortest. JDG is quite tall (180 cm). Not the tallest, but taller than KMJ..
