Here are a few more stills from Queen In-hyun’s Man, and despite the hanboks pictured, these are all from the modern-day segments of the time-skippy drama.

The first set of stills feature Ji Hyun-woo (the time traveler) and Yoo Inna (the time traveler’s future wife?) cozying up behind the scenes and on the set as their characters have a “library date.” Uh, I guess the Joseon scholar’s idea of a good time is to show his lady some ripping good books? He may have to up his game in the 21st century, just sayin’. Hey, I love books as much as the next girl (maybe more), but they’re not the first thing that pops to mind when you say date. Or romance.

But I guess we don’t have to worry too much, since he gets in a good kiss soon enough, as we can see in the still and previews below. Basically, the clip tells the story: Our Joseon hero finds himself in the midst of intrigue, fights off villainy, and ends up warping to the future. There he’ll meet the heroine, a little-known actress playing the role of a queen in a television drama. (From the clips, it appears she’s not a very good actress, either, earning the director’s sighs and her co-star’s derision.)

The second trailer lightens up considerably with a more standard rom-com feel, although I’m optimistic about the touch of whimsy woven throughout. The hero arrives in the future and seems to tell our heroine-actress the truth, speaking in his sageuk tone and talking about jumping in time. Whether she believes him, however, is a different issue entirely.

Queen In-hyun’s Man premieres next Wednesday, April 18, on tvN.

Yoo Inna looks cute as always. and jb, remember Sungkyunkwan Scandal. The Library was pretty much their mating room between the leads.

I really love the first trailers released for this drama. They have a CF-like appeal which I mostly attribute to the deft directing. I know there are a lot of time-travelling dramas these days, and even though I'm a HUGE Jaejoong fangirl, for some reason I am anticipating this drama more than "Time Slip Dr. Jin". Gotta give chops to their marketing team for the amazing trailers. But, as I have learned time and again, we are not to judge a drama by its trailer alone (uhm, hello City Hunter and King 2 Hearts).

I just hope a subbing group will pick this up as their next project. Woe is me, who only knows very little Korean...

Sooo pretty!
I really like her as a lead.
She certainly is not typical in any way - her looks, her delivery, and I am totally buying her as a red head for every role.

I think she has a vulnerability that is charming; I hope she can do steely resolve as well. First leads always need to bring their steely resolve to the later episodes when all hell breaks lose.

I'm pretty excited for this drama, though there's no way that I'll have time to watch it. Guess that works out since it will probably be weeks (months?) before it gets subbed. Can someone let me jump forward in time so that school will be over and I'll have all the time I want to watch dramas?

looking forward to this, the stills look great! although my expectations of saguek-fusion dramas now have been raised considerably because of Rooftop Prince, any other drama of the same genre would have to be really good to be able to beat it :)

Where is Ricky, the rh? woo hoo, ricky, there are gorgeous pictures of Yoo Inna here, where are you? *Looking around to see if I can spot him, no, no such luck :-( *
You need to get out of the library or out of your books to see this for 5mns... or maybe not, if that means that you looking at these pictures will have you drooling at Yoo Inna, for hours... literally :-). (we still need you to study and do your homework during the week so you can continue to do well in school).
Maybe it is best that you don't see this today and see it on the weekend instead. That way, you will still have time to do homework and study (I hope :-) ).

I thought of you as soon as I saw this post. This is definitely for you, enjoy!!!!! I hope your week is going well!

It looks interesting, but without subs it's gonna be difficult (I can understand only 40% of Korean so far).
In the trailer I recognized the house from the Princess man and the hero has the same outfit as Park Shin hoo. I hope they will not make a copy of that drama, as in "Queen Dowager Insoo".

Actually, was watching "GO Show" (downloaded it, meh) while I'm reading this, and first thing I really saw was "Why are the female leads so awkward-looking in hanbok??? Especially Yoo In-na..." If she's gonna be Queen Inhyeon, she's really gonna have a lot to do...

And the female leads' eoyeom meori gache, it's like either it really doesn't fit in a perfect way (think Jeon In-hwa and Kang Su-yeon in "Yeoin Cheonha") on her head, or it's like those ready to put gache on the head. It really does look like it's gonna fall off...
The one doing the kisaeng role who follows JHW is arguably the one who looks best in the hanbok truthfully...
