Cast gathers for Big’s initial script reading

The cast has been assembled and now it’s time to begin production on Big, the body-swapping Hong Sisters romantic comedy set to air on KBS in just over another month. The drama held its initial table read a week ago, though we’re only now getting to see the stills featuring stars Gong Yoo, Lee Min-jung, Jang Hee-jin, and Suzy.

(You can barely see a few other Hong sisters regulars, like Choi Ran and Ahn Seok-hwan, who have been in a number of the duo’s past dramas, often paired. Perhaps they’ll have another love connection this time as well; at this point the meta joke is practically half the point of casting them.)

Despite the title, the plot actually isn’t like Tom Hanks’ Big after all, since we’re dealing with two discrete identities. Rather than starting Gong Yoo’s character out young and aging him overnight, an 18-year-old’s spirit takes up residence in the 30-something hero’s body. Lee Min-jung is the woman who finds herself in a predicament when her fiancé suddenly isn’t her fiancé anymore; she plays a quirky character with apparently hilarious dialogue. Can’t wait to hear it.

Suzy was also at the reading, though her character doesn’t make her entrance until Episode 3; she’ll be the teenage girl that our teenage hero has a crush on.

Big premieres on June 4 on KBS, and will be a Monday-Tuesday drama. Who’s ready for Gong Yoo’s comeback?

i'm soooo ready for Gong Yoo! my eternal favorite korean actor. Gaaaah! and of course, it's Hong sisters so it's for sure a worth-waiting-for drama + the superb cast.

Shin Won Ho and Baek Sung Hyun also cast in the drama and there's a possibility that both of them will be playing the 18-year-old guy but Baek Sung Hyun's role is Lee Min Jung's younger brother who has crush on Suzy. This means, Shin Won Ho will be playing the role of 18 year old guy or the 18 year old guy is Lee Min Jung's younger brother. I'm confused.

eeeehhhh!!!!!!!! OMG why can't June come quicker. I wonder if clicking my red shoes together and chanting "It's June 4" would work on this. Maybe I should ask the cast of Operation-Rooftop-proposal if I can borrow their tools for time travel.

I will tell you guys the correct story of the drama “BIG”.

Gong Yoo will be a 30 year old doctor and he will be Lee Min Jung’s fiancee. Lee Min Jung will play the role of a high school teacher and Shin Won Ho, Bae Suzy and Baek Sung Hyun will be her students. Baek Sung Hyun will be Lee Min Jung’s brother who likes Suzy. Shin Won Ho will be the 18 year old student who also likes Suzy.
After Gong Yoo and Shin Won Ho’s souls switch it will happen that Gong Yoo(with Shin Won Ho’s Soul)will follow Suzy as he likes her and Shin Won Ho(with Gong Yoo’s Soul) likes his own teacher Lee Min Jung because their souls are exchanged.
And also Jang Hee Jin will be Gong Yoo’s ex-girlfriend who will return from overseas to get him back.
So it will be a very complicated drama with so many love tangles.
But its Hong Sisters drama so it will be Super Hit.The other Hong Sisters drama were Delightful Girl Choon Hyang (KBS2, 2005),My Girl (SBS, 2005-06),You’re Beautiful (SBS, 2009),My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox (KBS2, 2010),The Greatest Love (MBC, 2011) and now Big (KBS2, 2012).
And Gong Yoo is making his comeback after five years after The 1st shop of Coffee Prince, Lee Min Jung from Midas,Bae Suzy(miss A) from Dream High and Architecture 101, Shin Won Ho from Bachleors Vegetable Store, Baek Sung Hyun from Queen Insoo, Jang Hee Jin from Myung Wol The Spy.
I personally love Suzy from miss A and wish her all the best for the drama and also all the cast of BIG.
It will be aired on June 4th 2012 on KBS2 Mon-Tue at 21:55 replacing Love Rain.
