Uhm Tae-woong for Equator Man

This is a man who knows the meaning of striking when the iron is hot: Uhm Tae-woong has just been secured as the lead in Equator Man, continuing his very busy streak with a drama this time, after completing a string of movies. More Uhm Tae-woong? Love. In a straight-up conventional melodrama? Um…
Uhm has basically been working nonstop for the past year and a half, ever since taking on 2010’s romantic comedy film Cyrano Dating Agency, then the 2010 sports-medicine drama Dr. Champ. In the past year alone he’s filmed or released three movies: dark rom-com Neverending Story, Crime Squad, and Introduction to Architecture. Plus, there’s the whole ongoing 1 Night 2 Days gig he’s been doing.
Phew. Either he’s been bitten by the workaholia bug (it’s a powerful little stinker), or he’s figured out how to conduct time, Operation Proposal-style. I wish he’d let me in on the secret so I could eke out more hours in a day, too. Well, and spend time in close quarters with Uhm Tae-woong.
As for Equator Man: Described as the “male version of Women in the Sun” (same writer) and about “ambition and forgiveness, it’s a project I’ve been hearing about for a little while, but was holding off on commenting on because the news was so tentative, the casting so hazy. It seems crazy to me that it would take so long finding a lead, because the drama premieres in March. Yup, next month. As recently as three days ago, there were rumors of Oh Ji-ho taking a look at the role. Yeesh, talk about cutting it close. We don’t want a repeat of Me Too, Flower’s time-crunch madness, do we?
Baek Sung-hyun
Uhm Tae-woong will play a man whose father’s suspicious death still figures largely in his life, who finds himself in a taut rivalry with his friend. Baek Sung-hyun isn’t a confirmed addition to the cast, but the 22-year-old White Christmas actor has surfaced as a contender to join Equator Man, playing Uhm’s younger counterpart.
Confronting his intense, difficult life with burning heart, our hero turns himself into a successful businessman. Despite the makjang-sounding plot (which invokes that key player, twisted Fate) and the fact that real-life Uhm Tae-woong seems like a humongous dork, I do love him in fierce, tough roles, since he’s got such intensity. They don’t call him Uhmforce for nothin’.
Equator Man follows Wild Romance on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but there’ll be two weeks in between the two dramas while KBS airs a four-part special. Uhm had also reportedly been attached to an upcoming medical drama, Third Ward, but production has been delayed on that drama after losing a broadcaster, so Equator Man will come first. We’ll have to wait to see what becomes of Third Ward, if anything.

Given that it is unlikely Moon/Sun is not extending, Rooftop Prince, The King and Equator Man will all premiere on the same day. What's up with Wed/Thurs timeslot becoming so competitive?
KBS seems to be casting and starting filming later than the other 2 for this show. Hope it doesn't become live shoot and Myung Wol the spy was by KBS. Touch wood.
March is gonna be real busy for everyone.

Good - I'm sick of medically plotted drama (and baseball, too! Enough!)
Uhm Dog-Feet is sure busy. I find it so fascinating that he can be so intense and, should I say it?, beastly in his acting and yet so totally dorkalicious in his real personality. The man is a conundrum.

Oh oh wowow ~ ~ Uhm Tae Woong have neveeer getting so rest himself for a break yet....he's keeping myself soooo busy, How impressive. O_O Ah, that'd be good ~ OOOH, Will Baek Sung-hyun confirm this new drama yet?? Aw, I HOPE that he will able to accept his role for this drama & I will be looking forward to this because of Baek Sung Hyun, hehe ! ! ! ! ! ^___^

Ah my goodness, I haven't seen this actor Baek Sung Hyun for a long time (I first watched him in that drama "Stairway to Heaven" with actress Park Shin Hye.

yay! it appears to be crunch time for our UTW as he's taking project after project these days. i just hope after these string of work, he'll gonna have all the time in the world for some lovey-dovey. that means, take a much longer time for the honeymoon and for making UTW mini-me's. skip the courtship and the dating! hehe aw why cant he meet her already? whoever she is.. :)

I love KBS- Women in The Sun. One of a good KDrama... If I was not mistaken, the man lead for that drama supposed to be UTW... but the production cannot get him at that time.
Lucky now they secured him this time... Aigoo... UTW on KBS in March and followed by Joo Won in May... I like it!

I don't get it. I've only see him in like two and a half projects (not really a big fan of 'intensity') and I just love him to pieces. Just from articles and photographs alone. He's adorable.

I like them both.
But, I hope this isn't a crying melodrama...is it?
Because I don't like those so much, mainly because they can get a little ridiculous with the amounts of depressing you can squeeze into 1 hr and 8 minutes.
I'll watch if it seems cool with more fierce than sadness.

UTW on a new project again!!!
Yehey!!! something to watch about....
UTW is more known in acting roles that are somewhat kind of strange and "heart-a-fleeting"...<3<3
Sadly, his previous projects didn't gain him so much attention because of the shallowness of the roles he got, unlike in Resurrection and Delightful Girl Choonhyang....(remember Ha eun and Hak do? They are the most unforgettable roles he had)
I hope and pray this drama would gain back the attention of many to him.... for the staff, pleeeaase be fair on his role here Ok???
