Here’s a look at shots from the set of MBC’s King 2 Hearts, gearing up for its premiere in just about two weeks. They feature leads Lee Seung-gi and Ha Ji-won meeting for the first time in a heated North-South confrontation, due to a clash in personalities. Or yunno, because it’s North and South Korea. Though clearly, the countries are on better terms in this fictional universe, if the big political move is to have a North Korean officer marry a South Korean king-to-be. Don’t they know that romance just complicates politics?

Apparently in this scene the very straight-laced Kim Hang-ah (Ha Ji-won) gets quickly fed up with petulant prince Lee Jae-ha (Lee Seung-gi) who will be, by all accounts, a royal ass. Aren’t they all? Well, at least I know he did a good job with that same type of character in Brilliant Legacy. I hated his character quite effectively, which made the eventual arc well-earned. The ticket’s in the writing though, ’cause there’s a fine line between a Darcy and a bastard. I just hope Ha Ji-won’s character is written with some actual spunk, because if she’s yet another supposedly badass heroine who is NOT BADASS, I will be grumpy. And you know what happens when I’m grumpy.

King 2 Hearts premieres Wednesday March 14, following The Moon That Embraces the Sun on MBC.

BUT...was I the only one who thought 'OMG~ PHOENIX WRIGHT~!!' when I saw Ha Ji Won in her costume/outfit/getup/etc?

...maybe it's the obscure game in me... >,<

Seriously cannot wait for this drama. really hoping it will be good!

I'm getting good vibe about Seunggi and HJW pairing, i think they can make one hot pair ^^ and i love the costumes and the locations they choose for the drama so far. can see this one is high on budget. so, hopefully they will have successful ratings.

I'm not caring over the title anymore. They change again and its even worse. just, please let the drama be good!

LOL yeah. he has been sporting all kind of perms. I remember reading that Seunggi is not comfortable showing his wide forehead but hope he knows now, he's looking good in this hair and the hair in the poster shooting video.

I thought he will look younger with short hair, but maybe because of the costume, he looks older here. and HJW on the other hand looks younger.

Am I wrong if I say that I've never seen Seunggi this handsome before? I mean, I've always thought he was the adorable one, not necessarily handsome. I guess a haircut can do wonders to ones face.

Talking about haircuts, yay for a longish haired Ha Ji-won! It's been forever since she's had a longer hair. It makes her look pretty, like she is, but the cut still makes it edgy.

I don't know why I was blabbering about hair. Forgive me. Well, Seunggi and Ha Ji-won isn't really a textbook couple, if you know what I mean, so I'll be looking forward to how the chemistry goes. Will I be watching the drama? Who knows. If ends up being engaging, I might just watch. But considering the date, it isn't fun because I'll probably be pre-occupied with super fangirling to Fashion King. That's where I'll be.

Didn't you watch his White Lie MV and pics in 2007, that's my fave hairstyle, same same as this, very manly and his acting in that MV is good too

HJW is always a Korean female warrior. I think its really match with her. But Seunggi? I hope this drama isnt going to b big dissapnt just lik MGIG. I still imagine the king was Cha Seung Won.

I don't really approve of this pairing though.. they just dont look compatible for me but hopefully the storyline and their strong characters (or at least they are strong characters) makes up for it! :D

honestly speaking I love both seunggi and jiwon as actors but i ust dont think they look good together..Seunggi is too boyish looking and Ha ji won has more commanding screen presence than seunggi..Even tho hyun Bin is also younger than her but he has powerful screen presence as jiwon..its just my opinion tho..anyway wish them luck
