Rooftop Prince in a box

Oh man, these posters for Rooftop Prince crack me up, especially this first one above where our time-traveling Joseon aristocrats (and prince) find themselves stuck in a box (literally) wondering, “Is this real life or the afterlife?” I know, the 21st century’s a bitch, isn’t it?
I’m pretty sure my favorite thing about prince Yoochun is the utter dignity with which he wears his royal hat and tracksuit. It’s like Lee Jung’s ridiculous cape in Vampire Idol — meant to convey prestige and rank but really just making him look like a Conehead. I’m particularly partial to (unintentional?) irony of Yoochun wearing the uniform of civil service exam-takers the nation over (aka the sloppy tracksuit), which makes him look like an aspiring government employee. (Imagine a future king taking a civil service exam; is the world ready for such a revolutionary concept?)
There also seems to be a curious fixation with the box motif, which I’m not quite sure I’m getting. (If there’s something to get.) Is it to emphasize how tiny and cramped our prince will find living in a rooftop room? Or is that the device by which he speeds forward 300 years, Calvin and Hobbes style?
All I know for sure is, this show is already cracking me up and it hasn’t even begun yet. Fingers crossed, people!

Oh, and JB - they're not stuck in a box, unless it's a really fancy box with floor and ceiling mouldings with a wood floor. It looks more like what passes for a spacious apartment in NYC.

The first time i heard about the tracksuits, i thought about secret garden's glittery tracksuit! XD
My first reaction: NOOOOOOO!!! I didn't mean it! I didn't mean it when I said I missed it! Don't bring it back, please! There was enough glitter the first time!
My reaction after I saw the pictures: Bwahahaha!!! I can't take how they are so indifferent to what they're wearing, and they still have their manes of glory!

Regarding the box concept, I'm getting the "Life is like a box of chocolate: you never know what you gonna get" feeling. Maybe it's something like that?
After all, time traveling is not an easy thing. You don't know what to expect, what will happen, if you can adapt, and so on..?

Lee Minho looks uber cute. And can I say that, and I'm not embarrassed to admit this, that I'm happy to see he's wearing green since my nickname with some of my friends and coworkers is Green Ranger (Green for short). It's fated I tell you. Hahaha. Ok no, it's not. But he's still uber cute.

SBS Roof Top Prince was filmed on Feb.11 in Hwangmae Mountain in Hapcheon area. The fiimlng was lasted for 10 hrs from 8:00am to 6:00pm joined by 80 drama staffs n casts including Yuchun. kekeke.and OMG ASSASSINS! They are being chased by assassins COOL! Cannot wait ^^

I love it already! Yoochun is really convincing as a sageuk character (although this is not a sageuk). He has the dignity and the authority of someone who lived in the past. I'm loving this new batch of Joseon F4.

I think Yoochun should wear that hat in every drama he's in, regardless of the character. I think it would make each drama just that much better.

I'm always shocked at how penniless people in dramas can afford real estate in the middle of the city
even if it is just a rooftop
and since Crown prince hearts his crown princess (jung yoo mi)
instead of our leading lady we might have a bit of angst as well

Dying of laughter at the last poster where Yoochun is holding a grocery basket in one hand and a cabbage(?) in the other. Oh please tell me it's in prep for Kimchi Making Day in the rooftop household.
I think the box might just be to show how modern flats are just pigeon holes, but I wouldn't mind if they really ran with Calvin's transmogrifier idea either!

I wonder if the rooftop is gonna be the same rooftop that they've been using so many times.. you know.. the one with the green paint (last scandal, pure 19, smile dong hae, etc...). From those dramas, every little rooftop house looks different from the inside, but the outside.. i really think is definitely the same.
