she;s 33 and he's 25, but Seunggi has that amazing skill where he can be paired up with anybody and have amazing chemistry with them. people were very skeptical about Shin Minah being older than Seunggi and look at how that turned out.

i love the idea of CSW with HJW pairing and really anticipating this drama then but now i'm not so sure on LSG with HJW. i do love them both but can't imagine them together. if LSG in confirmed, and HJW is not can i get Moon Chae Won with him instead?...wishful thinking :)

I like them both separately but I don’t know if I want to see them togheter in a rom-com…the premise of the drama sounds great though!

I love both of them (I'mma diehard airen) but I honestly don't think Ha JiWon is right for Seunggi you know, she seems a lil too old for him. Nonetheless, I'll watch it (If it comes out) because our awesome Seunggi is in there. Haha..our prince seunggi is finally upgrading to become 'King Seunggi'. Yeah, he has a regal air so I think he'll fit into his role easily...but (please?) can they change the pairing?

This sounds different. I've enjoyed them both in the past, and after Greatest Love could've been the noona romance of my dreams (well, next to Dal Ja's Spring!) I am definitely looking forward to this casting.

And, predictably, there is discussion of her age. Guys....that is absurd. But I guess any other actress would've caught flack for any number of reasons for just being paired with LSG. Sigh.

You're right that Seung-Gi and Seung-Won are different types. Cha Seung-Won is an accomplished actor of surprising range and skill. Lee Seung-Gi just wishes he was. Seriously, somebody needs to tell pretty boy Lee to just stick to hosting reality shows. That's about all his one-note boyish charm is good for.

Mmm....hope not. I love Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi separately, but together? LSG is cute but not hot, and I don't see there being any passion in this pairing. HJW can really bring it, so I want to see her paired with a guy who can also create sparks.

The description linked above describes this as a black comedy, and I think LSG can do that. But he just doesn't generate sizzle IMO.

Also, if the casting is going from Jo In Sung and Cha Seung Won to LSG for the title role, it sounds like they're rewriting the story around the casting, which doesn't inspire a lot of faith in the writing for me.

When he marries her, does he know that she's a spy? That's the part that confuses me the most about this plot, why would he willingly marry an intelligence agent? Other sources are saying she's the daughter of a political family. Maybe her spy identity is undercover.

Bahahahaha! Ok, just the concept is making me laugh, so I really hope they take this in a well-written comedic direction. I'm having flashbacks of 'My Princess' - please, noooooo!

Also, I like both LSG and CSW, but isn't there somebody in between? They seem to be at the extreme ends of the hot-male-lead-continuum.

I can imagine Kang Ji Hwan playing this role.

Please everyone, save the comment, opinion, ect. after you watch the drama because no one knows how it will turn out.
Surely HJW is an excellent actress, she has tons of dramas, movies, awards, everybody acknowledged her acting skill.
Compare with her, LSG is just a child, he's just played a small role in 1 sitcom, 1 supporting role, 2 leading roles.
But is there anyone curious why the writers, producers give him such a big role like that after JIS, LBH, CSW's deny? Some of you will say because he's a Hallyu star but there are many Hallyu star, many flower boys, why choose him?
I don't think these famous and talented writers and producers will risk their product to someone who doens't have potential, they saw something in him suit for the drama, so they gave him a offer.
When I watch Brilliant Legacy, I used to hate him (exactly his character), I used to think that he's not good looking, why they used him as leading role. But little by little, I don't know when I fell for him. His acting isn't very good and skilled, of course, because he has very little experience but he make viewer empathy with his character, make them cry and for me that the most important quality for an actor, skills can be improved over time but emotion you gave for viewers not anyone can do. Overall he's average, enough for a new actor but in some certain scenes, he shines brightly. At first everybody doubted him for playing in a drama but eventually his drama is deabak with 47.1% in rating.
About MGIG, I'm sure 9 out of 10 people used to say LSG and SMA isn't suit at all. But what's we got, a nomunomunomu kiopta Hoi Couple. Although MGIG still has flaws, typical Hong sisters dramas (another Hong sisters) but I impressed again with LSG, I can't find the annoyed Hwan anymore, instead a cuteness-overload Deawoong in the first part and a emotional Deawoong in the last part, his acting improved more but still need more training. And I impressed more when he acted in the drama, did 2 variety shows, filmed many CFs, released 2 digital singles AT THE SAME TIME. Wah. This drama is considered a success one when had to compete with Baker King.
The important thing is that he doesn't stand still, he knows clearly where his position is, what he's lacking, what he need to learn and improve in acting. If watching his MGIG interview, you will know how much he researched and invested in his role.
Some people here can pair up HJW with anyone you like, JIS, LBH, CSW,... I'm very happy if one of them stars in this drama because I like HJW too, but sadly they didn't. If you keep pair her with them, will they accept the role? Instead looking back the past, waiting for the future is better. And please don't use hating words about LSG if you don't know anything about him, that doesn't make anyone happy, just make you look bad.

- A side note, LSG isn't photogenic. 10/10 people said he's extremely handsome in person, much much more.
- He can pull thought several styles, when very cute, when very hot, when very mature,...

Imagine if all Huyn Bin, Cha Seung Won, Jo In Sung, Lee Byung Heon, Lee Min Ho were King and stood besides King Lee Seung gi, it'll be a disaster and the end for King Lee Seung gi. For being a male lead, besides good acting actors need some more elements such as handsomeness, hotness. I wll support him in any role except leading role.

Besides, just because you look young doesn't mean you are young. If you watch the drama with that mindset, you'll be fine. They're characters, c'mon. I also think he's a pretty good actor. Kind of a scene stealer.

I can gel with this pairing. LSG is not the greatest actor, but he's very earnest and endears himself pretty easily. HJW is a good actress. She's not Jeon Do Yeon though, and it's not like they're doing Shakespeare, so the disparity between their acting skills is not that unacceptable. If it's a rom-com, even better. LSG has a pretty good handle for comedy, so they'll be on par for that course.

i love noona romance. and adorable seunggi always have soft spot in my heart.

anyway, same wed-thru slot, same rom-com sageuk theme, same noona-dongsaeng leads (except this one with larger age gap)... i wonder which one is the winner between MBC and SBS (and seunggi and chunnie). all the best for both dramas! :D

not a big fan of Noona romance.. can't go through Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, The Musical, and Baby-faced beauty. The only one that I like is Me Too, Flower (just because the male lead's character is unpredictable and interesting)

I feel skeptical about this casting. Ha JI Won is senior than Lee Seung Gi. She's more compatible with male actor that has star quality the same as her. I want Cha Seung Won or JO In Sung who got the part.. not a big fan of Lee Seung Gi. his acting is mediocre..

oh...I really want to see this drama...can't wait to see it !! I thing they both a good actor and actress;) ppl, on air now!!!!!!!
