Take Care of Us, Captain releases its first poster

Here’s the first poster for upcoming airport drama Take Care of Us, Captain, starring Ji Jin-hee as a top airline pilot and Gu Hye-sun as his rookie co-pilot. It’s being described as “an airline humanism drama,” which I suppose sounds slightly less random and weird in Korean. Slightly.

It’s a pretty poster — I like the crisp colors and lighting — although I can’t help but feel like the actors’ torsos have been Photoshopped past recognition. Is it just the angle, or have they shortened Ji Jin-hee’s arms by half? The positions are strange and uncomfortable. *tucks elbows in self-consciously*

This drama is SBS’s portion of next week’s Wednesday-Thursday premiere madness, and probably the one I’m least excited about (KBS has Wild Romance and MBC unveils The Moon That Embraces the Sun). I can’t say that the premise excites me, but as with all things, we can’t know till we see firsthand.

Lee Chun-hee and Yoo Sun co-star. The drama premieres January 4. Which of the three new dramas will you be watching first?

moon that embraces the sun! why hello, kim soo hyun. ^^ and yeo jin goo is a winner in my books, thanks to his portrayal of young dong soo. i just find it hilarious that he never really looks like his older counterparts. he is very much yeo jin goo. shrugs. i don't care! excited for these new dramas. ^^

Yea, I agree with you ~ ~ Yeo Jin Goo is doing so great job at his acting, yups. I will be looking forward to him in "Moon That Embraces the Sun".

Also, I AGREED to XyoR #2.2 ~ ~ ;) Well, I hope that I will watch these 3 dramas if I have time (crossing fingers) Gooodness, 2012 dramas will be exciiiiting and awesome.

I think this one is my first choince. I like both leads. But after Lie To Me we all know that leads alone aren't enough. A compelling story is the key. But there's something about The Moon that worries me.

han ga in? I think her delivery is very actor like, I mean scene specific. Like you can tell takes instead of a fluid storyline. It's like she goes into each scene like a scene very han ye seul.

oh dayum, the arm really is kind of weird in the picture. maybe he is a robo-cap[tain] - maybe he can pull the arm in when necessary. together with that, pulling a girl closer. or headbutting the enemy at the chest faster... wait, it is not action. well, it should be. His arm is up. So what's pointing at us is his elbow. I think it's more like they photoshopped in the chairs and the cockpit.

As for me, I don't have to choose between dramas. I don't watch them until they're finished, lol.

moon embraces the sun doesnt appeal to me, not just cos i dont really know anyone in it, are they idols? but its a sageuk right? no thanks. thats the one genre i just cant get into.

wild romance, apart from her freaky haircut, the girl just reminds me of BOF days i cant stop thinking of her as the girl who got loads of surgery for Gu Jun Pyo. but Lee Dong Wook i love since Scent of a Woman *sigh*

So, i think ill go for this. Although GHS is annoying in kiss scenes, I still have a soft spot for her since BOF and of course Ji Jin Hee is lovely! :0) JJH and GHS, fighting!

I think, for me, it'll be whichever has subs faster. But I'm definitely watching both Wild Romance and Moon That Embraces the Sun.

I kind of agree about this one. I have nothing against the leads but the premise just seems so uninteresting to me. But I guess we'll see next week.

I dunno about this drama - I like Ji Jin Hee but have never been able to get into any drama starring Gu Hye Sun. Not even BOF (which stars my beloved LMH)!

I'd cautiously watch this for Chunderella ;)

The poster is horrid because everything about it is so literal. Pilot, cockpit, facing the camera mid-air. Here's hoping the drama is more than what we so far.

I plan to watch everything slowly. My old drama list is still pretty long. I do think Moon that embraces the sun seems like an interesting story prince and shaman love and then reunite could be good.

I know one thing for sure, after The Musical' conclusion last friday, I am not going to watch a drama with Gu Hye-sun in the near future.

Her facial expression on "Take care of us Kaptain"'s just released poster resembles her naive-looking character in TM too much for me to endure.
While some may call it natural beauty, her blank face, thin figure and short hair simply causes a very irrational emotion for me, shudder.

Too many good dramas on my waiting list to waste my time on this. Pilots haven't been interesting to me since 'Top Gun'.

I'll be watching Wild Romance. LDW bored the stew out of me in SOAW, but I like to look at his face. So pretty.

Definitely the GHS and JJH drama though I will watch the other two when I have time.No need to criticize or insult anybody, just watch what you want and PEACE for the coming year .Remember it will be 2012 already and if you know about the Mayan calendar, lets just be positive about one another.

Moon that embraces the sun of course i dont think im gonna pay attention to this drama for various reasons but mainly and pretty much the only reason i need to not watch it, i dont like goo hye sun, i dont this she has any talent at all and i could list so many other reasons why i dont like her but i wont because i dont want to offend any of her fans and this is just my personal opinion

I will watch this drama because I love pilot uniform and JJH. As for GHS, I always read criticism on her acting, dresses, blablabla in.... Just wonder why those directors/producers picked her as the main lead in their drama. I think they must be blind and brainwashed by her awkward gesture, laugh and facial expression. This time, I think I will particularly watch her performance with a magnifier and see how poor she will act.

Gosh I don't care for GYS's acting either but I'm beginning to feel sorry for her. I really think though that she's a one hit wonder ... (Pure 19) which I never saw. I thought her acting was merely tolerable in BoF. I wish her success but I hope she gives up acting ... and singing too.
