In the market for Bachelor’s Vegetable Store

Aha, so this Bachelor’s Vegetable Store has some real six-packs to go along with its Bachelor Six Pack! This drama does know how to speak to its audience — it’s sure got my attention.
(Also? The real-life Chonggak/Bachelor brand should really expand and make this Bachelor Six Pack into a real thing. What? Beer is a vegetable. And they’ve got six strapping young bachelors on hand to handle the marketing…)
These two stills featuring shirtless Ji Chang-wook come from a recent shoot in a marketplace. I especially love the giddy looks of excitement on the ajummas’ faces, and the one ajumma’s attempt to make grabby hands. Ha. Not that I blame her:
Sadly though, it appears the scene was less fun for our actor, who headed to the hospital directly after the scene to get an IV drip (and out of the cold).
Pictured farther down below are Ji’s co-star Lee Kwang-soo and his child-actor counterpart Oh Jae-mu — whom you may remember as young Tak-gu in last year’s Baker King Kim Tak-gu. Although it’s okay if you don’t; he’s grown up so much that it would be easy to mistake him for someone else.
(Also: How funny that he almost got to play the childhood counterpart for the same actor twice, had Yoon Shi-yoon stayed with the drama.)
We’re a week out from its premiere on cable station Channel A, and while normally while that would mean we should have been inundated with press releases, posters, stills, and other promotional stuff, thus far Channel A’s been more low-key than its fellow cable competitors (jTBC, on the other hand, as gone the other way with oversaturation). I wouldn’t take it as a bad sign, if we’re going off of Channel A’s other new drama Color of Woman, which premiered with little fuss but has been charming and engaging.
It does mean that I’m still left hanging as to things like tone and attitude, and curious to find out. I have the general idea that Bachelor’s Vegetable Store will be a mix of the funny and the heartwarming, described as the story of hard-working young men (with abs!) who band together and grow up, as well as “finding meaning within ordinary life in a refreshing way.” We’ll see if the drama makes good on that promise.
Bachelor’s Vegetable Store premieres next week on December 21. It airs Wednesday and Thursday nights on Channel A.

Hey ! Wait a minute ! I got nothing against a little skin and muscles, but we are in winter. I like my bachelors well nourished, energetic and with a fair amount of sleep.

Exactly what I'm thinking, Mystisith! I'm all for abs, but I prefer them springy, bouncy and with good blood circulation. At this rate, our abs (I'll share them with you,ok) will be reduced to blue, grey and cold deep-frozen breastmeat. What our bachelor needs is a warm veggie rub.....he he

I loved that kid in BK, but please no heavy accent this time around. It's like readin' Dickens dialog. It's cool at first, but you all of a sudden you start starin' at all the hapostrophe's and dropped H's.

Yes my teacher always warned me not just easily give an IV treatment to a patient as long as he/she still can take the treatment per oral. IV means opening gateway for infection straight to blood vessel and there are also another risks. I guess iy is different in Korea or just in K drama? Hmm and lol

Some of those first pictures look a lot like Lee Seung-gi. It may be the hair.
I hope Lee Kwang-soo gets a good role. I'd love to see him do something where his character gets taken more seriously than his character in City Hunter and his persona in Running Man.

I'm worried about the veggies, Cynthia....if they spend all their time in flirty waterfights with the gardenhose, who's going to bag the veggies? And if nobody's bagging the veggies, won't they run out of veggies to sell? And if the veggies are left unbagged, won't they spoil? And all that water gushing out of the flirty gardenhose - won't this run up a massive water bill? And they haven't even bagged the veggies, so they can't sell them to offset the bill....

Well, being the young, industrious ::ahem: men that they seem to be, I'm sure they've figured out that some of those veggies need to be pressed into veggie oil in order to keep the cash flow coming in for more vegetable seeds and fertilizer. And I'm also assuming that they know veggie oil is a natural insulator in keeping one's chocolate absily-exposed skin protected from cold and wet weather... that's why they keep barrels of it close by the communal shower for when they have to come in from the cold to warm up and oil down... repeatedly...
But I (happily) digress. And as for bagging the veggies, let the women do it. We're the rulers when it comes to organizational skills anyway. :)

The PR Machine has finally cranked up into high gear!! Channel A held their Press Conference (technically) yesterday (14 December) at 1:00 PM KST, where we were treated to LOTS of The Pretty on the small screen!! Poor Kwang Soo. He tries SO hard to be a hottie, and just comes up short every time. That hair. Oh, that hair.
Just watched him on Running Man (Hong Kong 24) - crowds cheering for them were unreal and he loved every minute of it. He always has that "Who, me?!" look on his face when fans squee. I'm really wondering how he's going to fit into the 6PACK story - maybe an awkward cousin?

Having recently seen Ji Chang-wook in "WBDS" - thought he had the potential to get as big as Lee Min-ho if he got cast in the right fluffly vehicle that appealed to tweeners and ladies who haven't outgrown their tweener fantasies.

Yes, he's definitely got a "six pack". All you have to do is go to Google and put his name in to see his pictures. They look so fake, like someone photoshopped his head onto that body, but they're real.
Poor guy, now I know exactly what he meant in his one Twitter message when he said he just wanted to hibernate after this day. This was the day he was talking about but he didn't put in the comment what had happened but now after seeing it I get it. No wonder he was so cold and tired! Over there everyone is wearing incredibly thick jackets over layers and layers of clothing and still shaking like they have seizures from being so cold and he's out there without a shirt and lifting heavy 'objects'.
At least he keeps saying that he enjoys his job otherwise I would be completely upset at his 'treatment'. I must admit I can't say that he doesn't look wonderful ;) Just don't want him to freeze or get sick for a show.
I can't wait to watch this show! I'm trying to keep myself from watching WBDS again as it would be my fourth time through, am on episode 20 of My Too Perfect Sons, and the same for Smile Dong Hae and yet I somehow miss seeing him. Not sure how that works. I'm sure that counts as an addiction but as it's not substance related and I do other things . . . I can swoon XD

Commence Major Swoonage NOW! Channel A finally put up the teaser late last night, but it's only available in Korea. A kind friend put up a copy on YouTube -- she's a huge Ji Hyuk/supernova fan, so we promised to keep each other in the loop when it comes to gossip from overseas. :)
Anyway, time to stare at the wonders of our 6PACK. Enjoy!!
