Bae Soo-bin cast as Yoo Ji-tae’s leading man

…in Yoo Ji-tae’s directorial feature, that is. As previously announced, Yoo is following his recent wedding to actress Kim Hyo-jin by diving back to work, now that his debut directorial feature has secured funding. He’s now locked Bae Soo-bin (49 Days, Dong Yi) in as the film’s leading man.
The project’s title has been tweaked to A Boy Dreams of Sansevieria; sansevieria is the name of a plant that colloquially goes by the names devil’s tongue, snake plant, and mother-in-law’s tongue. The story is a coming-of-age story about a young man who runs away from home and ends up traveling with a Filipina woman.
Bae Soo-bin plays the young man… and I hope there’s something else to that story, because as baby-faced as he is, he also totally looks his age (34). Not at all the kind of youth who’d be running away from home and coming of age. But Yoo Ji-tae has established a thoughtful, introspective directorial style with his previous four shorts, so I’m sure he knows what he’s about.
A Boy Dreams of Sansevieria will begin shooting in January.

I'm afraid that they'll pick 2NE1's Dara. 'Cause she's fluent in Tagalog and has acting cred in the Phils. But I maybe she won't be too bad...maybe. IDK.
Though I'd much rather a Filipina actress that knows Korean. That would be sweet :D

Good for him! It's not a miracle, but talent and hard work. I liked him in Jumong, I loved him in Painters and Dong Yi, he was brilliant in 49 Days, so it's logical for him to have a lead role in a drama. Fighting, Sunny Bae!

I hope Bae So Bin returns to dramaland soon. I think he'd be great in a family-rom-com as a single dad with an adorable kiddo. BSB already exudes warmth and cuddliness. With a kid he totally explode hearts everywhere :)

Wait... wasn't Bae Soo Bin the lead in Angel's Temptation or whatever...sorta?, why is everyone saying "finally"? He was..post-plastic surgery but still?.... Of course, I didn't finish it (omg, I could not) but I mean from what I was watching he had a girl,lol.
I liked him in Shining Inheritance SOOO much. Didn't like him in Angel's Temptation....hated 49 Days, so I'll keep an eye out for this film! O:

In ToAA, Han Sang Jin's name is listed first - he played the same character as BSB but pre-surgery. Interestingly enough, HSJ is exactly one year YOUNGER than BSB (both share the same birthday, 9 December) but I think BSB looks younger.

woah this is good news, i luv BSB --- he actually doesn't look his age! he looks younger than 34 of course that's my opinion! i wonder who will be the lucky Filipina actress to act in this drama? i'd guess one of those younger ones like Anne Curtis, Angel Locsin, Claudine Baretto would be good too as some here suggested!
