Thousand Day siblings Su Ae and Park Yoo-hwan
by javabeans
Huh, wouldn’t you know it? Su Ae and Park Yoo-hwan actually look a lot like siblings, which is what they play in their upcoming drama Thousand Day Promise.
As a newbie to the acting world, Park Yoo-hwan, aka Micky Yoochun’s little bro, said, “When I first received the casting offer, I was so honored that I even thought, ‘How could I dare?’ I got emotional thinking of the huge opportunity that came to me.” That’s because the writer and the actors are some major dramaland heavy hitters, and Park continued, “I even shook at the thought of receiving a script from writer Kim Soo-hyun. I can’t forget the excitement and thrill I felt when reading the script over and over.”
In the drama, Park will play a young man who has to watch his noona (Su Ae) gradually losing her memory, as she experiences a heart-rending romance with Kim Rae-won. Pictured below Su Ae seen studying her own scripts, on the set and in between shoots.
Thousand Day Promise premieres on October 17.

I'm soooo glad i'm done with Organic Chem. I had a 3 week course of Organic Chem and manage to get an A- which was a miracle but most of that was because i had a good teacher so i was lucky. He was British by the way. Every time he talks i always daydream about Harry Potter which is weird maybe the way he speaks and his choice of words is so old style British. I don't know what i'm talking about. lol Yeah but now Anatomy and Physiology is giving me headaches. orz...

Oh! By the way, have you seen the teasers for MAN OF HONOR??? Gosh! it is as tagged as a melo-sports-romance-drama right? but after I watched the trailers, I felt like I'm watching a romcom! Hahaha :D
I know this is really out of the blue but have you watched the fancam video in youtube of LEE MIN HO's acceptance speech in Korea Drama Awards? While his delivering his speech, a fan from the audience shouts PARK MIN YOUNG, and suddenly, LMH stops speaking and smiles for a short while. Hehe ^^

I think it's just a bit overexposed...too much flash on the camera. I'm sure they aren't that pale in real life.

The Park brothers are Korean Americans, right? I read that on All K-Pop I think, so his/their English should be really good, right?

They were born in Korea and lived in the U.S. during Yoochun's middle school/high school years--I'm not sure how old Yoohwan would have been when he moved back to Korea. I've never heard Yoohwan speak English, but Yoochun's is pretty good.

I just finished watching Sparkling aka Twinkle Twinkle and Park Yoo Hwan was one of the shining performances in that drama. He was a really great actor and I looked for more with him in it only to find out that Sparkling is his debut drama. Amazing. This guy can really act. Someone mentioned something about his English speaking. In the drama Sparkling his character spent time in the US. His English seemed to be pretty good and I could understand it despite my APD. So I'm looking forward to seeing him in this drama.

I've only watched 15 episodes of "Sparking" but I agree with Andrea, that he does a great job with his role and "uncle".

They totally resemble each other, for once I won't have to stretch my brain trying to believe two characters are siblings.
His reaction to being cast is so adorable. I loved him in that Twinkly drama.
Su Ae looks pretty grim as she looks at the script... no surprise there though. Better stock up on tissues.
