Lee Seon-kyun and Im Soo-jung cast as husband and wife
by girlfriday
Damn, this girl has all the luck. Okay, fine, she’s awesome and talented and quirky and delightful. She just also happens to costar with all of my favorite boys, one right after the other. Gong Yoo wasn’t enough, now you have to have The Voice too? Some people just live charmed lives, yunno? Im Soo-jung and Lee Seon-kyun have been cast to play opposite each other as a married couple in All About My Wife, a film about a mismatched husband and wife on the brink of divorce.
It’s the new project from Antique Bakery‘s PD Min Kyu-dong, who was also a producer on Im Soo-jung’s latest film, Finding Kim Jong-wook. His last project as a director was the recent re-adaptation of Noh Hee-kyung’s The Most Beautiful Goodbye In the World, and he’s been coming up the ranks as a director and producer.
Im Soo-jung will play the outspoken, blunt-force-trauma honest, force of nature wife, while Lee Seon-kyun will play her very timid and sensitive husband, to whom “divorce is harder than love.” So then I’m assuming their love isn’t very easy to begin with, if he’s still willing to endure it for fear of divorce. His character is described as so meek that he can’t even utter the “D” in “Divorce.” Ha. I love this reversal already, especially since we’re so used to seeing Lee play the shouty alpha male. Not that he doesn’t play sensitive guys, but it’s usually the I’m-gonna-be-a-bombastic-ass-to-cover-up-my-bleeding-heart guy, not the scared-of-my-own-wife guy.
Ryu Seung-ryong (Personal Tase, who also happens to be stiff competition for being nicknamed The Voice) will play the intruding third party, an eccentric cassanova “invested in the couple’s separation.” Yeah, I’d say he’s invested, all right. But seriously, could there be a better guy to play the cassanova? As far as casting goes, this movie’s right on the money.
All About My Wife starts shooting in late November, for release next year.

as for the looks, between the 2 of them, Ryu Seung-ryong is my fav, however for the acting I love The Voice
Im Soo Jung was nice to watch in FInding Mr destiny, but in Woochi she was a force of nature with the face of most bumbling woman ever

I'm so happy. Im soo jung is most talented actress that I ever see on korea. and I can see why they chosed her for this complicated women character who has a two personality I'm sure she will kill it again and make us more fan of her. Lee Seon-kyun is also a very good actor I can imagine him as timid husband! but I dont sure about Ryu Seung-ryong! he generally acted as alfa males who has bad characters but he is not typical charming casonova man.I think he will be a funnest character of the movie.
I hope ıts gonna be good movie. I cant wait.

Lee Seon-kyun! My love. He is the BEST part about recapping Pasta (the Voice is BACK!) For serious! And I adore Ryu Seung-Ryong. His characters are always so compelling.
Unfortunately because of my newbie status to k-dramas I've not been exposed to much Im Soo-jung but I'm on my way to watching her moving with Gong Yoo (LUCKY BIZATCH!) right now...

And Kang Dong-won in Jeon Woo-chi (aka The Taoist Wizard). Le sigh. I can't until his service is over.
Also, I think he's hot, but I'm pretty sure in South Korea, Jang Dong-gun is still rated the hottest and number one beloved actor. He's the golden boy/man pretty much. The A-lister of A-lists. The Sultan of Swat. The King of Crash. The Colossus of Clout. The Great Bam~...... Ok, I digress. I exaggerate with The Sandlot reference, but ongoing polls don't lie and haven't changed when it comes to Jang Dong-gun.

Ryu Seung-ryong frightened me with his intensity in the Warrior: The Arrow Something Ultimate ...
As a romantic lead, first or second, I would be afraid to play against him. I would give up!

I'm curious how will the writer bring such two different personalities together. Just as much an alpha-male and a meek girl occur very often, I can hardly imagine an alpha-female (or dynamite-female - that's how I inderstood the character description) in a relationship with such a delicate man. I mean women like that need dynamics from other people and if they don't get it they nearly explode (and they become scary), so ISJ's character would not probably be attracted to LSK's character. That's what I see when I look at actual people. SO short: how do they get to be a couple? I am really intrigued how it will look like.

Personal Tase, the thrilling story of Jin-ho, a hot-rod architect who wants to replicate the Sang-go-jae but, encountering stiff refusal from Kae-in, decides to stun her into submission. Please anticipate as the shocking story unfolds! It'll have you saying, "Don't tase her, bro!"

They keep taunting us with these Korean movies that look so good and we can't see them here. (Well, I'm sure you can see them SOMEWHERE in the US....just not HERE). By the time they are available online/DVD or whatever, I've forgotten. It's the old age thing.
I need to start a list.
And this guys VOICE, I was just rewatching Coffee Prince last night and thinking "talk about voice porn". Oh my....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGQourmgKDU I found this while looking for SeonGyun clips on you tube. Methinks I see a very young SongJoongKi in there...

I liked her in I'm Sorry, I Love You, but frankly the movie with Gong Yoo was awful. It had an intriguing concept but was soooo boring and cliche in its execution. It just felt inconclusive and silly at the end.
Im Soo Jung always seems to have the same persona in everything she's done - the quirky, loudly obnoxious at times girl who stares and complains a lot. Not a fan.

All the korean drama and movie woman characters are same quirky, laudly stares and complains!!:)
I hink she is the only versitale one who can pull off every character she is like a chamelon and never frighten to lose her beauty image in korea! she is a real actress who always challenge herself.

No disrespect to LSG at all, but I am digging Ryu Seung-ryong. How charming can this actor be, seriously. He's just so into his characters - all of them.
But speaking of the best voice, LSG is not my 1st choice, nor RSR. Kim Joo Hyuk used to be, but Mr. Wrong Pants in Personal Taste has been challenging that title.

I think Eeefu means Jin-ho's best friend and colleague - the plump guy. Don't know his name. He did have a deep bass voice, but it was covered up in the clowning around he did and the fake-o gay voice.
Am also not sure why he's Mr. Wong Pants though. Was it the lift scene where Jin-ho was adjusting his zipper for him? Smiling just thinking about that scene.

When I read this on another source I forgot where, I thought it was Ryu Seung-bum. Say what? But hell is the picture so different now that it's Ryu Seung-ryong.
Anyways, yay a Lee Seon-kyun project! Love that guy. And Im Soo-jung, you are one lucky biatch I say. I'm not sure if they're going to play a good couple, but I guess that's the point of the movie. And Min Kyu-dong as a director? I'm sold. I love the colors used in his movies. It's so dreamlike and pretty and all the good things, at least in the movies I've watched.

Another drama about to the brink of divorce after "Cant Lose'' that was just ended. It looks like divorce dramas are getting in thing in K dramas.
Will this drama be the same fate as CL? If it garners good rating then, we have something to compare with Can't Lose which the rating shows very low. Lee Seon-Kyun, I love him since Coffee Prince. He has his own time slot that we were eager to watch him and his pretty g/f. Ah! Im Soo Jung. Reviewers said that she is a versatile actress much highly regarded than an A list 'star'.

this is a movie, not drama!...
but it should be good drama too.
Lee Seon-Kyun: he is maybe a few one who is not handsome or pretty like drama actors but still so charismatic, talented and charming than most of them.
Im soo Jung: For me she is the most beautiful, unique, talented actress that Korea have. I can easily put her in every popular drama role instead of the other queens but I dont know anyone who can act her unique movie roles perfectly like her or better! she owns every character she act.
