I know Padam Padam is all about Jung Woo-sung (Athena) and Han Ji-min (Cain & Abel)…but can we talk about how much Kim Bum has grown up the the past year? Yowsa.
I know all boys have to age sometime, and Kim Bum has been gradually growing out of his boyish looks with every role he takes, but still…I feel like he’s turned into an adult overnight, and it’s both amazing (those cheekbones! those eyes!) and sad (bye-bye, pinchy-cheeks).
Now he actually looks like he might suit the role of Padam Padam’s street-smart prison inmate who watches over the pure-hearted and wrongly convicted Jung Woo-sung while they’re serving time in the clink together. Jung’s character spends 16 years in prison, gets out and meets the self-centered Han Ji-min, leading to romance. Kim Bum is his buddy’s guardian angel who watches his back in and out of prison, while new face Lee Jae-woo takes a role in the supporting cast.
The cable drama premieres on jTBC on December 5.

Not only does he have the looks, but I have full confidence in his acting skills--East of Eden anyone? My god, he totally blew me away with all that melodrama. I didn't think he could handle it, but he was gajillion-times better than Song Seung hoon in that drama. I was devastated when his character "grew up". I stopped watching after Kim Bum was gone :''(

I totally agree! His scenes were the ones I cried in, that's how great his acting was. I was really surprised since I thought he was just a pretty boy in BOF.

I agree too - i never got the Kim Bum love before, he just was too...hmmmm boyish, that he didn't even register on my radar. I could not understand what everyone was talking about ....
but HOT DAMN!!!! I am now riding the Kim Bum train....just beautiful!

I've seen some of the stills and I find myself sad. I miss the HK-styled cutie Kim Bum. I also read many a SoEul couple lamenting the changes haha. Ahh well, time goes on I suppose.

damnn... Kim Bum definitely got older (and more handsome) looking :P I'm looking foward to this drama because it has Han Ji Min (who I've adored since Capital Scandal), (sexy) Jung Woo Sung haha, and Kim Bum (older, improved? heh). Lee Jae Woo is pretty cute looking too. The writer is Noh Hee Kyung, so as long as the acting is good... I think I'll be completing the drama lol

Woah! I was really shocked upon seeing this article's thumbnail on the main page. I was like. Wait, wait, wait. This actor looks really familiar. lol
Well, with his cute boy looks before, I failed at imagining him with his role for this drama. I even thought that it's not going to work since he looks too young and too cutesy to be a prisoner. But now after seeing his new grown-up look, I guess he'll nail it. :)

I hated that time he was in the middle. Now, I can't believe myself either, but I actually think he looks handsome now. I really didn't care about his appeal before. I know, "OMG".
But can I just say how much I love this cast 100% and I'm totally drawn into the plot? I'm definitely going to watch this no matter what.

I am a fan of Ha Min-jae (Park Jin-hee, TWWSWTM) - it would be interesting to see Kim Bum (current) replay this role.
It's time Bummie caught up to buddy Lee Min-ho who can 'age' lookwise into any role with way more ease, than Kim Bum ever could.

Bummie is no longer the "comeheresoNunacanpinchthosebabycheeksofyours" kind of guy. Boy has DEFINATELY manned-up!
It's funny - when he was in contention for a role in WBDS, I was happy because I just love him, even if he really didn't suit the role. Just love to watch him, period.
This is a huge difference in his appearance - NOW I can totally see him rocking a sageuk! I always knew he could do the Mane of Glory, but now he has the WHOLE package. And what a fine package it is!

That picture of Kim Bum is phucking HOT. Those cheekbones, those eyes, indeed. And a big fat WORD to whomever said he and Takeshi Kaneshiro look like brothers -- hot brothers. Ah luhves me some Takeshi Kaneshiro. He makes me almost believe that 5'10" men are where it is at. But at least Kim Bum is 5'11 1/4", so if I stay barefoot and slouch, I can fake like we're the same height (I'm 6'0"). Holla!
