javabeans: So, the facts: They’ve known each other for years and even were in a drama together — 2007’s I Am Sam, although she was a lead and he was just a minor supporting character. But they reportedly developed feelings over the course of shooting City Hunter.

javabeans: DUH, talk about foregone conclusion. The official story goes, they started seeing each other after the show wrapped — a cup of coffee here, a drink there — and that developed into full-blown romance. Now they’ve been a couple for a month.
girlfriday: I KNEW his googly eyes at her wearing nothing but his white shirt wasn’t just an act.
javabeans: This is every shipper’s, fanficcer’s, drama fanatic’s dream come true. Almost literally. I bet this soothes some wounded souls after the ambiguousish ending, yeah?
girlfriday: I still contend that ending is in no way ambiguous, but whatever.
javabeans: I agree with you on the ghost theory (as in, PIFFLE!) but the romance was left open, kind of.
girlfriday: Ah yes. Well I much prefer their real-life counterparts getting the happily ever after.

I think "dating" seems to have a different connotation for Koreans... our (USA) casual use of the word dating means 'getting to know each other' means "almost engaged" to Koreans.
That may be the hesitation in saying that they're dating.

@Olsen... I'm sure they are just "dating/getting to know each other" as opposed to the more serious "dating/pre engagement" stage. Since Koreans are more conservative regarding the dating scene ... I offered that as a reason their management may be hesitating to call it dating.

But then i realized that they ARE adorable together. Well if he's going to date anyone she's the best i can think of for him. PMY is awesome. But the best thing about this is that finally, two people who gets attracted to their love interest in the drama! You know what, Park Min Young mentioned Yoo Ah In on City Hunter media interview. PMY told them that YAI taught her how to use twitter and they were so surprised. On the first day of CH shooting she also tweeted YAI "Oppa" to say "fighting" for her and he did!
So I'm still happy that they're a true best friends off screen and I'm sure YAI is happy for her new love too^^

Public announcement of a 1-month relationship is a way too early, especially with PMY new drama coming up ( it will be hard to ship the main leads knowing this). I felt they should have denied and give this more time to grow first. Having a relationship under the public eye will not be easy.

This news is such a surprise for me because I've never heard any rumour about them dating. During or after BOF, there was the whole speculation about the two leads dating and it's very common for the leads in a drama to be linked with their co-stars. However, as for OUR drama leads, I for one didn't hear anything, and I was actually surprised that there was no rumour whatsoever (may be you guys have heard something). So, this came as a bitter-sweet news that makes me jump with joy while breaking my fan-girl's heart at the same time.

I am not heart broken by the news. I still cannot believe it's real.
I am planning to watch the entire series again to see if I can tell when real feelings started to spark between the two with this new knowledge.
I cannot help but wonder the pull/push dynamic they played in the SHOW, was any of it from their true emotions and they used their characters as the perfect facade to channel those feelings?
I started to wonder if he would give her cutesy nick names like his character did in the SHOW.
And that bright smile Nana had at the airport in the final scene probably wasn't acting, huh?

you know what's really embarrassing? i actually use the word when i'm talking about LMH to others! I even rushed into work with the 'news' today and the earthquake never made our "top news" conversation at work! lol

Celexa, so everyone in your office knows LMH/PMY/City Hunter/Nana Bear? I started telling people around me about them as soon as I read the news.
To me this news is bigger than the earthquake news.

I've been giddy and on cloud nine all day about LMH and PMY dating that I forgot all about the earthquake. I'm sure I heard someone mention the earthquake new to me but it just didn't registered in my befuddled mind. :)

well, they are both young, pretty people so why not? not a fan of both, but certainly like LMH better, I find PMY's acting overrated and bland...but the bashing against PMY, I find funny, and even more hilarious because most of 'em are fans who ship LMH with Goo Hye Sun. And I just find it really stupid that fans from that fandom feel sorry for GHS...geez she doesn't need nor want your sympathy guys.
