Weekend drama Hooray For Love’s promo stills

MBC’s about to premiere a new weekend drama, Hooray For Love, which looks pretty cute if we’re going solely on the stills and promo shots that have been released.
This is the drama Jae Hee (Three Dads, One Mom) and Jung Seok-won (Dr. Champ) had both dropped out of, and stepping in to replace them are Lee Tae-sung (Playful Kiss) and Jin Yi-han (Fine Windy Day). I can’t say that I’m as interested in the replacements as I was with the original casting, but I pretty much like all four of them, so no complaints.
The drama’s presented as the success story of a woman named Jae-mi (Lee Bo-young) who divorces her loser husband (Jin Yi-han) and finds new love with the lawyer hired to invalidate their divorce (Lee Tae-sung). The main cast also splits into two love triangles, as you can see in the stills below; the above-mentioned trio comprise the main triangle, while Jae-mi’s parents’ generation finds themselves in another one, featuring Byun Jung-soo (Manny), Chun Ho-jin (City Hunter), and Bae Jong-ok (The World They Live In).
Byun is the new wife, Bae the ex with whom it looks like Chun has got some lingering feelings. Too bad he couldn’t keep it in his pants, then, since the divorce was a result of his cheating.
I anticipate some tension between our heroine and her stepmom, given that in real life the actresses are only five years apart in age. I can’t imagine Jae-mi would find it easy to call an unni-age woman her mother, yet there really aren’t any other options for her to use in the Korean language. (I suppose she could be super rude and insist on calling her “ma’am” or some such, but that would be the height of disrespect.)
Thanks to Dad’s infidelity and the trauma of breaking up her family, Jae-mi becomes skittish of men like her father, which unfortunately means smart and talented guys. Aw. She ends up marrying a guy who’s “obviously lacking to anyone with eyes” (ha), and I guess it’s no surprise that the union doesn’t last. Their wedding photos sure are cute, though.
I also anticipate that this adds another dimension of conflict to her relationship with Lee Tae-sung, who’s a smart and sharp lawyer who also happens to be a big ol’ playboy. (In the stills below, he gives a kiss to his girlfriend Seo In-young, who wants to marry him, and breaks up with her.) Good luck wooing the girl with a phobia of all smart guys and a heightened anxiety about the unfaithful ones.
Hooray For Love replaces Do You Hear My Heart? next weekend, airing its first episode on July 16.

Looks cute... though it still makes me sad to realize Can You Hear My Heart is ending. It'll have a tough spot to fill, that's for sure.

Huzzah, I loved this guy in Playful Kiss!
Is it just me, or does he look a lot like SHINee's MinHo in a lot of these stills? I thought it was him at first. :x

Awww. Is that Ducky? The best thing about Playful Kiss... hands down! So glad he gets the girl here. I almost wish he were doing this show in his Ducky Accent. It was so adorable.

Thank god, Lee Tae Sung finally landed a hero role in a drama. I've grown liking to the man ever since i've seen him in 9 ends 2 out. He's got that very cute smile on his face. Im sure going to check this one out.

lee bo young is sooo cute and purty and the problem is she is looking awesome with the wrong guy netizens already calling them a real couple in the wedding photos lots of chemistry there I hope they do another thing together where they end up together cause I love them both the older cast is good as well the only one I am not sure of is lee tae sung he is too young compared with the rest

I just quickly googled this and it seems that this is going to be Seo In-young's first drama role. She's always so sassy and cool in reality shows. I mean, she clearly wore the pants in the Ant couple, and was the HBIC on Heroes (though I sorta gave that show up...) Her witch persona on WGM was so refreshing compared to the other pitch perfect ladies, except maybe Hwangbo, who's also in a different league. I wonder how SIY's character will deal with the break up in this drama. *prays for a playboy smackdown by the HBIC*

I have fallen in love with Lee Tae Sung's pose on the first pic XD I saw him in '9 end 2 outs' but there he was just a kid but now he has become a real hottie. While checking out his gestures I somehow recalled Park Shi Hoo. Does he resemble him or am I just hallucinating lol

Agree with everyone else who thinks Lee Tae-sung looks great here! Loved him in 9E2O and Playful Kiss.
But is that really Jin Yi-han? I never thought the slightly evil ajusshi from "Who Are You?" could look so geeky! :)

So Lee Tae Sung got Jae Hee's role, I assume he's the first male lead (probably he'll get LBY in the end) and Jin Yi Han is the 2nd male lead? Anyone can confirm? I badly want him to have a lead role.

this looks SUPER cute!!!! when i saw the first picture at first i thought it was the guy from heartstrings but it was the guy from playful kiss instead! :o i was surprised at how cool he looked at the scene with inyoung omg inyoung's gonna be in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha and how cute he was at the picture where he's resting his chin on the main girl's knee (lol sorry i can't really get their names at first glance xD) definetly gonna watch this drama!

i feel bad for jae-mi's dad, while i kinda wish that jae-mi's ex and his new wifey person would fall into a bottomless hole. :P
and also..... if jae mi and dong woo fall in love, and dong woo's sister and jae-mi's dad are already married..... that's just weird.

You guys shouldcheck this one out, it's really good. I'm not a fan of Lee Tae Sung or any of the actors here but boy oh boy! what a surprise! this drama made me fall in love with Dong Woo (Lee Tae Sung's character) or should I say I fell in love with Lee Tae Sung :-D
