I'm on the fence about this now that I've cooled down a bit. On one hand I want more Dark Yoohyun goodness! On the other hand I'm worried about the same thing DB is. Ah, ottoke...

NOOOOO! this is one of those dramas where i desperately want to know the end, miri's end. and dang, this drama flew by. they really did do a good job of story telling with the cycle. please don't ruin it.

That mask from the Promotional Posters still give me the creeps. *shivers* I vote NO for the extension as well.

this kind of drama needs brisk, tight storytelling, so extension will probably do more harm than good.

A big No from me as well. At this late stage, the script must be already written to the end. To add to it now will wreck the pace of the plot. It is not a rom-com whereby you can add cute bits or angst to it. MBC seems to do that quite a bit-consider extensions to its drama at a very late stage.

I think this is a marketing tactic used to promote the drama. With it's ratings, I doubt to would put in as much as 4 more hours of the show. Just my thoughts. Anyway, just hope the extension is not happening.

There is so much to unfold. And i want a happy ending for all the leads. So 20 ep may give enough time frame to end the drama neatly.

Well...story wise i think there is indeed a scope of extension..but definitely not for 4 episodes.... i'll be happy if they extend it upto 18 episodes..a lot of things still need to be resolved....

if it was earlier I would be happy, but at that stage I'm not sure..

Why mess with something good already? I'd vote "no" even for a 1-episode extension. My heart can't take any more suspense....

On the other hand if this is City Hunter, go for it, yo! Four more episodes or another season-ful of Lee Min-hot is fine with me. ;)

i say YES because i dont want it to be like SKKS and wrap to abruptly but if it can do it neatly and successfully, without seeming rushed, then fine, 16 eps is ok. I prefer 20 eps if 16 eps isn't enough to tell the story correctly and well.

it was ok for BFB as it was comdey/romance plus they had already planned for a possibly extension so the writers already had it planned out but four extra episode on what pretty much a melodrama, no not a good idea. Comedy/romance ..well the story not really the main point, but for a serious melodrama it certainly is, and to try and stretch what been scripted to fill in 16 episodes to 20.....

I'm all up for Lee Seo Jin's new saeguk, but I hope the extension don't hurt the pace of Miss Ripley.
Thou I wouldn't mind if this extension is used to portrait Mi Ri's very very very slow and very very very painful death. Please Show, don't redeem her in the end, pretty please. She's too good of a villain and to turn her around would be a joke. Much like All about Eve.

i'm with javabeans on this one. the drama has maintained a solid storyline, and the pacing has been great. i don't fancy adding in 4 more episodes where they aren't needed, because it will only make the story lag and ruin a perfectly good drama.

no don't do it mbc you'll ruin the show. hmm unless you've decided to give miri redemption or a happy/ wrapped up ending.

NOOO. Was the thing I thought when I read this. Don't get me wrong, I love this drama, and that's the reason why I don't want it to be extended. I have a feeling that the story is at its turnpoint atm, and to stretch a drama out for too long after it already had its turnpoint is kinda... IT'S GOING TO END UP LIKE BOYS BEFORE FLOWERS I SWEAR. I really enjoyed it in the beginning, but as soon as they decided on extending it, the episodes got boring cause nothing much happened, and it ended up going o my nerves, so my allover feeling of BBF is still only:"BLEH". And to consider it started off so good.
SO PLEASE NUUU~ D: Don't make me dislike this drama just to make the next drama more awesome, because, seriously, I don't want saeguk-dramas.

I agree, I hope they do not go through with an extension. I hope the writer stands her ground and not agree to an extension that more than likely would compromise the integrity of her story.

Did anything good every come from an extension? Maybe for the next drama since it will give them more time, but extensions always, always ruin a drama. I don't care if a show is popular or sinking in ratings. The producers, the studios, the actors, everyone involved invested in a set storyline. Just stick with it and don't pander to public opinion. And if the next drama needs more time, then that's your problem. Deal with the fallout by just showing specials. 1 week can be devoted to Miss Ripley specials (i.e. maybe a news special on the real-life characters that inspired the drama, followed by bts clips and actor interviews). The second week can be devoted to promoting the next drama. I swear. Broadcasters and studio execs are so blind and tunnel-visioned sometimes. Most of the times.

16 episodes aren't enough for a drama as dramatic as this.

I actually do not mind the extension... because I feel though the drama moves on by plot quite quickly, the character development needs some time to relish over. And it lacks sometimes, so I think an extra four episodes would do good than bad. Usually, I am against extensions but this one, I think will be quite warranted.

also... I am shallow. I find Darth!YooHyun really hot. LOL

No extension, please, because it might lose viewership
along the way. It can get boring and dragging. Currently watching and enjoying this series.

I want more Hee Joo!! I want a scenario where Yoohyun starts going after her but she rejects him once she glimpses darkside Yoohyun and pushes him back to Miri. It seems like Miri and Yoohyun are more alike than it seems.

Or I want Miri to grow the frak up and atone for her lies b/c all in all, I am sympathetic to why she does what she does. She's only trying to survive.

Micky Yoochun is a beautiful boy/man. He reminds me of my fave, Kang Dong won

I like the extension cuz I want to see more character development for Micky, for more romance. There a lot of date scenes, but I want the couple to finally develop better connection, so that if they want this to be a tragic end, then the pain/regret would be that much more intense. I can't let go yet.

I'm with you, Javabeans. It's got a good rhythm the way it is. As much as I love watching Yuchun, expecially this new, dark, broody one, I'd rather see the series end in the existing arc than see them artificially extend it.

I hear they decided against the extension - good choice.

I think no need to extend cos there are already a lot of twist and turn which are full of suspense. Can't wait any longer to see the ending of the drama.
