Yoon Jin-seo in Saipan
by javabeans
What a gorgeous photo spread. Forget the fashions (though they are nice), it’s the scenic environs that have me drooling for Yoon Jin-seo‘s (Runaway Plan B) new shoot for a travel magazine named, appropriately enough, The Traveler.
The pictorial took Yoon to the South Pacific — specifically, the island of Saipan. Must be nice to have a job where a working trip can double as a vacation, since Yoon reportedly used the time to rest up and recharge before jumping into her next project, the movie Punchline with Goong actor Kim Jung-hoon. (In the film described as a human comedy, she plays the lively aide to an upright politician who’s determined to wipe out corruption — good luck with that — and Kim plays the man’s son.)
True, the fashions are hardly what you’d call practical, or even appropriate, but that’s part of the beauty. Climbing craggy rocks in a full-length evening gown? Kayaking in a satin dress (look, my hat matches the oars!)? Sure, why not? It’s like one of those randomly mixed-and-matched shoots in America’s Next Top Model, except without the crazy supermodel constantly yelling at you to smize and be fierce and to model as a verb, not a noun.

Liked Jang Nara photo shot much better, you can not go wrong with the bride theme, specially when it was done retro style.
I can see what you mean by the scenery, she almost in there as a second thought, or dressing to the setting, than the main focus

Ha ha ha I love it when you ditz Tyra, I like watching America's Next Top Model just to hear the words of wisdom falling off Tyra's lips. I often sympathize with the models when they have this glaze look in their eyes because really what the heck is she reaaaaaly saying.

It always makes me nervous when they put women in long, gorgeous gowns next to the edge of a cliff. I trip in evening gowns on hardwood floors...but, scamper over the craggy rocks! Eek!!

I wish we would see more of her - she has a real screen presence and somehow doesn't feel "prefabricated" like many others.
Photo number 5 is very simple yet dreamy.

Hahah your comment about climbing craggy rocks in a full-length evening gown had me thinking, did she climb up in hiking gear and change into the gown on top of the hill? how else did she stop the gown from getting ripped?

I'm wondering how she got in that kayak without getting that dress wet-someone must have had to drag her and the boat off the shore into the water.

Is it weird that when I saw the cliffs, I immediately thought of Mom and Dong Joo? Whoa, it looks really pretty here when it looked so high and scary in CYHMH.

Is it okay to admit that she played the only character in Runaway Plan B natural enough that I WANTED to see her survive the series? What a fiasco that last episode was! She's making a nice comeback.

Its easier for korean celebrities (and other countries) to visit Saipan than Guam because of the visa (from what I heard).

she looks amazing~! really makes the scenery here look really good when i look at it.
we should have an insider here in saipan >.< there are a lot of fans here, just that the small population and lack of news about their arrival doesn't get around quickly enough

I know this one is so late! I could have read this earlier...I live here in Saipan and yah we've been seeing beautiful Koreans and Japanese come here for a photo shoot. Sometimes I wonder every time we're at the beach and see photographers with beautiful/handsome faces sort of curious and think maybe they're popular in Korea/Japan. Is just too unfortunate for me that I just started hooked in Korean wave after Jang Geun Suk in He's Beautiful. Our place is very quite and yeah less population and it's really a peaceful place for them to really rest and unwind. :)
