Park Shi-hoo in his mane of glory

What’s the best thing about sageuks? Why sageuk hair, of course. Don’t lie. That’s half the reason you watch them. Here’s our first look at Joseon-era Romeo Park Shi-hoo, on the set of the upcoming fusion historical melodrama, The Princess’s Man. He’ll be starring opposite Moon Chae-won who plays the titular princess, in a love story caught between a political war in her father’s quest to become king.
His mane of glory is still tripping me out (perhaps it’s the modern clothes making him look more grunge rock than princess’ honey), but he’s looking gorgeous in the traditional hanboks.
I certainly hope he gets to wear his hair down, or in a perfect half-ponytail a la Yoo Ah-in in Sungkyunkwan Scandal, or Jung Il-woo in Return of Iljimae. Siiiiiiigh. Now THAT was a mane of ever-living GLORY. Jung Il-woo, please do another sageuk, and soon.
The Princess’s Man follows Romance Town, and premieres July 20 on KBS.

Specially formulated shampoo, scalp massages, coconut milk/oil, or prenatal vitamins. =)
Missing Moon Jae-shin's mane though I was itching to wash his hair or at least comb through it half the time, it was not as greasy as Snape's and he looked hot despite the whole unkempt look.

Haah, the family of Sageuks is small... But I think I'd rather see Kang-aaaah in noble robes than with wild hair soaring in the wind, Robin Hood-style. Just wouldn't fit X)

I read somewhere that he hated the live-shoot schedule for a sageuk and it was not tempting to do one again.

Thank Drama Gods, it is just mane of glory, not mustache. Two actors whom I think good with mustache are only Ji Jin-hee, Micky Yuchun in SKKS :P and Ding-Dong: Cha Seung-woo :D

I thought he looked good in Ilimae , only thing is his character was pretty boring....or he was pretty boring I can't remember which...cos then I only had eyes for Lee Jun Ki...
But of cos he went and wowed me in Prosecutor Princess...and I love him there....just thought maybe sageuk is not his thing....but hopefully this is a light hearted sageuk...so at least I can see his playful sageuk side...
And I though MCW was gorgeous in POTW....hope she shines in this as well...the premiseof the story sounds okay...hope it's not a melo all the way...will definitely keep this in my radar

Same here about PSH in Iljimae...he was good, but his character was not very deep and there were many distractions (LJK). I've adore Park Shi Hoo ever since Prosector Princess and even watched Queen of Reversals because of him!
I think he really shines in the lead role the most.

I fell over laughing at this. Although I am partial to Hair...for me its the colourful Clothing, the simple rustic life contrasted with the opulence of noblity/royalty that draws me in. These are apart from the finer things like the usage of voice, etiquette, grace and formal language.

Me likey but then, I'm a sucker for long hair. Grunge rocker he can be but best hair EVER? For me, it is a toss up between Takeshi Kaneshiro's layered shoulder length locks, Sebastian Bach's butt length blondie look and Reinaldo Berthoti's current brunette mid back length hair.

EEEP!! Whenever I hear "mane of glory" I'm a little wary, for other than Jung Il-Woo's I've always found sageuk hair unattractive. But PSH looks hot!! I hope he gets ample opportunity to wear it down.
I am SO freakin' excited for this drama. I've been craving something historical-ly and dramatic-y.

I am really, really looking forward to this kdrama. I'm a fan of both Park Shi hoo and Moon Chae won so I hope this fusion sageuk doesn't get ruined by bad writing or bad directing. It could be awesome and tragic. It better be or I'll be supremely disappointed that both of them get wasted.

Yoo Ah-In's mane of glory was good but thus far, no one can out shine Jung Il-wo in Return of Iljimae. He looked amazing with that long glorious hair. Based on the pictures above, I'm not sure about Park Shi-hoo's "mane of glory"...
