Kim Haneul in GQ

Kim Haneul (You’re My Pet, Road No. 1) looks decidedly sexy for her photo shoot in the upcoming July issue of GQ magazine, which takes a “comfortable, provocative” concept. Two conflicting words, but she makes it work, wearing sheer clothing and posing in various states of undress. Er, half-dress.
It’s funny how my image of her has completely taken a turn with her recent 1 Night 2 Days appearance. She was glamorous and bitchy in On Air, for instance, and a capable secret agent in Level 7 Civil Servant, but with one overnight trip, now all I see is the excitable, giddy girl who cracked up at Uhm Tae-woong’s oddball non sequiturs, was asked “Who do you like best?” by four cast members with puppy-dog eagerness, and stole ramen.
The July issue of GQ also contains an interview with her, where she talks about her fears entering the entertainment industry, her thoughts about her public image, and her impressions of that 1N2D appearance.

I hope she does her Kimi wa petto (You are my pet) character Justice... Sumire-chan is a very tricky one to play and Koyuki did it very well. All the characters were very well portrayed..The original will be hard to surpass.

I totally agree with you! Koyuki did a great job as Sumire-chan, and Matsumoto Jun was good as Momo. I hope the plot, this time, don't get screwed up in the end.
And Kim Ha Neul is always looking gorgeous! She looks the same now as she did in Romance.

Indeed KHN is very pretty and talented.
I was just wondering, why in Korea, the B-e-a-u-tiful people marries late. Like there are many Korean actresses and actors who are already in their 30s or past but don't seem to mind marrying late. Not that I mind of course, as I'm thinking maybe one of the hunks is waiting for me.. lol

Well they marry late because they want to put their good looks to secure jobs as loooong as they can. Acting skills is Very Important, absolutely, but in a very competitive industry being good looking can't hurt either. Ya feel me?

Lee Min Hot, Jo Hyun Jae, Won Bin, Hyun Bin.. oh man I could go on with a long list *giggles* but these are my top choices.. lol
I feel yah there your highness. Although like Lee Yo Won is married but still looking good herself and can act.
Noted on Yoo In Na, if I saw someone claim her, I'd definitely tell she's yours exclusively? *winks*

but yoo In Na had a lot of work done on her jaw,nose, and eyes and its pretty obvious KHN looks much more natural and in my opinion very beautiful.
She was adorable in SG but i find her really dull in Best Love.
I hope she improves in her next project.

Yep, I knew about her surgery. That doesn't really stop me from liking her though. I long accepted the fact that a lot of Korean celebrities are not 100% natural, but that surprisingly does not bother me as much as I thought it would. Having said that, I'd like to say that I have profound respect towards celebrities who refused to go under the knife. Yay for self-confidence and self-belief! Woohoo!!! *throws silly strings and confetti*
Acting wise, I thought YIN improved in Best Love. Well that's probably because her Se Ri character has more substance than her character in Secret Garden. And yes, I hope she improves greatly.

I thought she is best without much make-up in 2D1N, and i like her sporty, witty character and high social intelligence. Whereas, CJW is clearly has low aptitude, but relatively high social intelligence. CJW looks awful without make-up as compared to her!!
I guess the cutest actress in 2D1N is Yumi. she looks like Yoda or master shifu of Kungfu Panda!!

Wow really? I know a few girls who were oohing and aahing about how beautiful CJW was on 1n2d, even without makeup. They thought I was insane for thinking Haneul was more attractive. To be fair though, Haneul is little younger than Jiwoo.

Wow! Is this Kim Haneul? She can be in sexy or simple, rugged get-up and she always comes out gorgeous in my opinion. She is the first Korean actor/ress (along with Kwon Sang Woo) that Ive watched in My Tutor Friend, so this brings back fond memories...

LOL! Yes, the soap scent was stronger than the scent of fear for his own life, hahaha!
Just saw him again in the amazing film "71:Into the Fire" just two days ago..along with Cha Seung Won and T.O.P.
He remains to be a cute kick ass actor despite his age (he was portraying a high school student in this film set in the '50's SK vs NK conflict). TOP is a revelation...he played his role with sensitivity and much heart. CSW is amazing as always as he portrayed the role of a NK officer.
Ricky-ssi, highly recommend this film for you as a teacher yourself. These 71 students played a key and vital role in this war...just showing how we can lead with heart and no role or work is too insignificant to those who are ready to die for a cause greater than themselves. What these 71 students did for SK remains a big part of why SK is a country like this today. We need to inspire our youth in the same way...

I heard about this movie before, waaaaaay before Dokko Jin made me obsessed with Pororo.
(To other folks who are reading this, sorry. My friend, samgetang and I tend to veer off-topic as often as Han Kang blinks his eyes - which is to say VERY OFTEN!)
I'll add that the my (insane) list of movies to catch. Now if only I can convince my students to stop listening to Bustin Jieber for 2 hours and watch this movie with me.

Maybe you can convince them how biology becomes irrelevant when you are afraid to get into the line of fire...or how Bustin Jieber was inspired to sing his song "Prayer" after seeing this movie...or how biology and Bustin Jieber and war movies are so interconnected with one another it will spell their doom if they do not watch it with you...or some other creative scientific claim by a famous biologist ;-)

yup, my tutor friend is the 1st korean movie that introduced me to beautiful Sky. Since that,i got hooked, and seems like i can't get over her.... Sky looks very pretty in these pictures...I didn't really like her in 90 days, loved her in 7grade and was hoping that she will do another drama with Ji Hwan ( preferably soon)... come to think of it, I like almost every single one of Ji Hwan's female lead... anyways, Sky was so funny and giggly in 1N2D...love that episode which I thought was the best one ...that is, until I saw the supporting actors' special...now, those two episodes were hilarious...hehehe

Just wondering...do established stars like KHN still need to do these revealing photos for their careers or because they like to?
I love seeing great looking guys in those shower scenes, etc, in the dramas. But, I also feel a little guilty - not for enjoying it, but because I feel that actors are being exploited. I'd like to see actors respected for their acting chops.

I remember a while back Lee Sun Gyun mentioned in an interview that he felt a lot of pressure about getting into shape for a scene in a movie - I don't remember the details. But it was clear that taking his clothes off in front of the camera made him uncomfortable. It wasn't really about being modest so much as feeling vulnerable being compared to other younger actors.
