More, more, more from Lie To Me

We’ve got a bunch of new stuff from SBS’s upcoming Lie To Me, including a teaser video that gives us our first glimpse at how Yoon Eun-hye and Kang Ji-hwan end up fake-married. Hint: It’s all her fault. (In the preview, she’s the one calling after him, “Yobo!” — the endearment reserved for spouses — while he mutters under his breath about the trouble she’s caused. Hee.)

Yoon plays Ah-jung, a lower-level civil servant with an everywoman kind of appeal — you know, the bumbling, lovable heroine so frequently seen in K-dramas, which Yoon does particularly well. (The blue-tracksuited stills all come from flashbacks into her days when she was studying to take the civil servant exam.)

On the other hand we’ve got Ki-joon (Kang Ji-hwan), a hotel CEO from a chaebol family who is decidedly NOT pleased about getting caught up in Ah-jung’s lie linking them together. The way he tosses her unceremoniously on the bed reminds me of the grumpy character he played in Coffee House, and I suspect Ki-joon will have that same contrast between his exterior chic hottie and his true inner crankypants.

Pictured below Kang in the following stills is new actor Sung Joon, who plays Ki-joon’s friendly, positive, honest younger brother Sang-hee. I’m guessing big bro missed out on all the nice genes, which went to easygoing friend-magnet Sang-hee instead. At least that’s what all the drama promises; it’s hard to pick out his supposed free-spirited good cheer in the photos below, where he’s looking more like the spoiled brat we’d expect of a rich younger-brother chaebol heir.

Then there’s the cameo from Danny Ahn (Runaway Plan B), pictured at bottom. Since he’s playing Ki-joon’s good friend, I suppose that makes him another Richie Rich type, but I find it cute that he looks more like an absentminded professor.

The drama premieres on May 9. My advice: Fill up on your sleep now! You might find yourself falling way short once the new lineup bursts onto the scene and overtakes our lives.

Yes.

The standard word for "It's mine" is from 내 것이야. This comes from the formal phrase of 나의 것이야, where 나의 is shortened to 내.

So, its 나의 것이야 -> 내 것이야 -> 내 거야 (shorten version).

Now once it becomes 내거야, pronunciation changes a bit and the word sounds like 내꺼야 instead. So many Koreans would mistakenly write it as 내꺼야. But the standard shorten version is indeed 내거야 which is pronounced 내꺼야.

So 내거야 is indeed "It's mine".^^

And 내거해 means "Be Mine".^^

While it's pronounced and wrongly written as 내꺼해 by many Koreans, the standard form is indeed 내거해 (Be Mine).

ok who cares if the whole show is full of every comedy/romance theme from the last ten years.
Certainly not me, long as it funny cute with a touch of romance then i be watching it. Of course the cast certainly helps..:-}
Likely watch it before baby-faced beauty for the simple reason that any sub group taking it on going to have overpowering help in getting them out fast..hype come in handy at times.

Is it just me or are there truck loads of new good(sounding) drama's starting in May? I hate watching stuff as they air, but I am so gonna be forces to, 'Maids (whatever its called now)'; 'Festival (whatever its called now)'; 'City Hunter'; and now 'Lie to me'. Bring on May!!!

lol everyone is so excited to watch the show for kang ji hwan & yoon eun hye...
i cant wait to see sung joon!!!
he's previous drama white christmas was really unique and awesome..he was pretty good in it,okay acting but flaming with charisma... javabeans you should really really watch it sometime..

Love the leads and love her hair (not the flashbacks). Soooooooo looking forward to this show. I know the leads can act so let's just hope the writers hold up on their end.
