Kang Ji-hwan stills from Lie To Me

(Maybe not that) Funny story: I recently reconnected with a cousin I’d only met once, a dozen years ago. Conversation was pleasant though stilted, as happens when kinship wars with time and distance to create that curious dissonance — are we close? Are we not? Should we cut the jondae and jump straight to banmal? Etc.
And you know what brought us together in the end? Kang Ji-hwan, my friends. Specifically, a mutual love thereof. In the interest of preserving newfound affinities, I refrained from staking my claim, since it would be horribly awkward to wrestle a cousin to the ground on your first introduction as adults. So instead, I exercised a hitherto-undemonstrated display of patience and allowed her to gush all over my honey, and bit my tongue all the while. I know. It was very mature of me.
All this to say: Dayum, my man is looking good for these new stills of Lie To Me, wherein he plays love interest to Yoon Eun-hye (it’s okay, we have an Understanding) when she maybe-not-so-accidentally gets the two of them embroiled in a scandal when she lies about being, uh, married. He’s a rich hotel executive, she’s not.
In other news, Kang Ji-hwan’s idol-turned-actor buddy Danny Ahn has agreed to a friendly cameo in the drama. Ahn announced the news via what is quickly becoming the new Press Machine Du Jour, aka Twitter. (The tweet: “Going to the shop to prepare cameo in the drama following Midas. Only got 30 mins of sleep ㅠㅠㅠ.”)
I hadn’t taken much notice of Danny Ahn back in his idol days, although I did enjoy the R&B ballad stylings of his group, G.O.D. It was his recent turn as a prissy cop in Runaway Plan B that made me enjoy his acting, since he embraced the character’s whiny, childish side while showing a glint of a more decent, insecure guy deep, deep, deep underneath the fussy exterior.
Lie To Me premieres on SBS on May 9, and will be a Monday-Tuesday drama. Thank goodness; if confronted with choosing between Kang Ji-hwan (and Yoon Eun-hye) and the Hong sisters (thankfully a Wednesday-Thursday drama), my head might just explode from the mental meltdown, akin to a robot facing a logical fallacy.

Javabeans and GirlFriday -- You have a lot of recappin' to do!
How you gonna do LTM and Best Love?
That's four straight nights of recapping madness with just two dramas.
JB M
GF T
JB W
GF T
Then, if throw in City Hunter because YOU HAVE TO, (The screen caps are going to be an important part of my happiness.) you will never sleep.
PS Stay FAR FAR away from Ripley because of SWCBN and the other one's brother, because every recap will attract swarms of rabid defenders.
RomanTick Town and Baby Faced? Nah. Nothing to see there that we can't catch up on later...
I wonder which shows'll get subbed fastest.

YEH + KJH = dream come true
Well, if anything goes wrong (I hope NOT), I can just shut off the subtitle and watch them both on screen.
I don't understand Korean anyway :-)

DANNY!!!! I miss him. Haven't seen him a lot lately since he went off Dream Team. As awesome as Ricky is, I wish they brought back the old Season 2 team back, including that dorky guy from Super Junior.

I hope she will do better than in
My fair lady . KJH is good actor , in coffee house he is pairing well with lead actress .In this drama , very much as
Secret garden , royal well dressed guy is in love with lower class , not in style girl . I hope they will make the gap not too big not too deep , at least they have something in common so they can fall in love , more believable , more realistic .Please don't make brainless character
In drama which KJH is a doctor who fell in love with single mom , this is very good drama , HHJ in that drama
portrays kind hearted , smart character ., she is pairing well with KJH

Bringing up My Fair Lady? Is that the best you can do? You know, Yoon Eun Hye had other projects aside from My Fair Lady....like Goong and Coffee Prince.
I dont know why Kang Ji Hwan international fans always act so high and mighty as if Kang Ji hwan is too good for anybody.
For your information, even Yoon Eun Hye's My Fair Lady did better than Kang Ji Hwan's dramas. It's Yoon Eun hye fans that should be worried cause Kang Ji Hwan is not high ratings material and if he wasn't chosen to be Yoon Eun Hye's male partner in this series, he'd still be in the frozen delight section due to his suspension.
There are much more worthy actors than Kang Ji Hwan who can be paired with Yoon Eun hye and can give better contribution...so it there's anyone who have the right to complain it's YEH fans, not Kang Ji Hwan fans cause we are getting the short end of the stick not you!

I am so happy that they are on Monday &Tuesday as well because omg I would also be in crazy agony over them clashing with Hong Sisters Best Love on Wed -Thurs. Since those two are my main dramas i'm looking forward to watching this May but there's other good dramas too like Ripleys, Baby Faced Beauty, City Hunter, Festival (whatever title is is now) &so forth but main two is Best Love &Lie To Me.

Undeniably, Kang Ji Hwan is simply ooozing with charisma. As an actor, he puts so much passion and intensity on his character that you will absolutely feel and see the character rather than the actor.
