I actually never watched her dramas, though I've listened to some of her songs back in the days when she was singing. Maybe I'll give it a try...after I finish rewatching Dream High.

Successful Story of a Bright Girl was the first Korean drama I ever watched, so it has a special place in my heart. I can't believe she's been traveling back and forth places as I once read she was afraid of flying in planes. (???) I hope she comes back and does a drama soon! (Not something horrible like Wedding, what a snooze fest...)

i think people associate the age of 30 with an old-ish face too much. I mean, it's really normal to still look like you're in your early-mid 20s when you're 30. 30 isn't that old.

love her acting in "Wedding" K-drama with ryu shi won

She been in the news a lot last year and all of this year. Her Sky and Ocean she won best foreign actress for in China as well as the film getting an award at a film festival in Europe with strong suggestion of open release in Europe at some time. She started making Masked Iron Singer tv drama late 2009...right after her scandal off Strong Heart and finish march 2010, it said she took the role as an answer to criticism of always playing the same role in her TV dramas, or what they really mean is she had always made light comdey/romance drama so the roles are similar. This drama very adult themed, dark and based off the movie Rebecca. From there she was busy on damage control from the Strong Heart scandal, where she lost almost all her endorsements and work, so 2010 was a rebuilding one, the one good side was that her every move was followed closely by the Chinese press so despite the bad slant to the stories they printed [something she no doubt is used to from Korean press] she was still very much in the public eye. Over the year she won back public support and the news stories begin to change from attack to neutral to open support for her. All through this she kept up her charity works and work as Culture Ambassador plus ambassador for the Korean pavilion at the huge Shanghai expo. Towards the last six month of the year she again started to get endorsement offers, a sure sign that most of the scandal damage was over, and signed up for three TV drama one after the other, the big one being part two of Bratty Princess series, that had been put on hold for so many years. The first was UNRULY QIAO, it been called a spin off to Bratty Princess and has many of the same elements and even actors, it been very well received in china rated number seven. Racecourse was her next project and was made the pretty much at the same time as UNRULY QIAO and brought her into 2011. This drama got a lot of interest because it has her acting with her father as father and daughter also the entire cast was asked to act in mainland chinese, so for the first time she would act in chinese. She is the supporting actress, that how she was able to do both dramas crossing over time wise, but again a first for her but the chance to act with her father was too much a chance to turn down. Though father and daughter pair in the end seem to get more attention than the two leads at lest from the mainland press, perhaps because the two lead where from Hong Kong. And after her holiday..and it was family and staff..no boyfriend in view, as always,,:-) she heading back to start Bratty Princess 2.
She has mention a 'maybe' on a Korean drama end of this year but nothing else. This year is also her Tenth since her debut as a singer back in 2001 so she well also have a new album out this year.
She done a lot of other things..just as javabeans say china like another world, is just such a huge place and population that unless you look for information about what is going on there, you know nothing.
there been two wedding shoots one in japan one in korea that also got a lot of attention she also returned to Korea for her friends wedding and the funeral of that famous fashion designer she did a catwalk for in china...she sponsored a trip to china for a korean mentally handicapped classic band..and so on. Really she always in the news..you just have to know..and be interested enough to look for it....:-)
