Preview clip for KBS drama Crime Squad

Crime Squad preview is out!
I’m a little ashamed to say that my main takeaway from the trailer is supremely shallow: OMG Lee Jong-hyuk, why so hot? I’m even a little sorry, as I don’t even care that Kim Seung-woo dropped out, paving the way for Lee Jong-hyuk’s inclusion as the cold-hearted police chief.
My second response is a little more substantive: The drama is, to my surprise, going for a much lighter, almost outright comedic tone than I’d suppose of a crime-procedural. I was anticipating something more along the lines of 2007’s cop drama H.I.T starring Go Hyun-jung, and instead it’s more like 2009’s comedy-melodrama Hero. (Given that H.I.T was (pardon the pun) a hit and Hero a huge flop, I’m not sure that’s the most promising comparison, but there ya have it.)
The preview centers around Song Il-kook, a hothead of a cop in the Seoul Kangnam police station, and features his initial clash with rookie reporter Song Ji-hyo, who doesn’t have such an easy time of it trying to get her story. Lee Jong-hyuk leads his team of detectives, which includes Sung Ji-ru and Boys Before Flowers’ pretty boy Kim Joon, who’s described as a scattered, comic character. Bring it on, wimpy cop idol boy.
Also included is Sunwoo Sun as one of the officers; I smell love triangle! (Then again, it is a kdrama. The love triangle is basically a given.)
Crime Squad replaces Dream High (which really, really needs a second season, I’m just sayin’), airing on KBS on Mondays and Tuesdays. Its first episode aires March 7.

ROFL! the guy shot on the windshield of an oncoming vehicle and there was blood splatter on the windshield in front of the driver. the blood came from outside the car.

LOL, I now want to watch it for that reason. Picking out things like that can make a drama fun. Also, the eye candy doesn't hurt.

right. I think we should find out first whose blood that is - the driver's or probably from someone on the roof. also, check out which universe the drama belongs to, and it's laws of physics pertaining to velocity and trajectory.

or there could have been a shooter from the back which caused the blood spatter on the front.
or the blood could actually be a tomato hitting the windshield when the car passed through the compulsory market place chase path.

I don't like serious crime drama, if the chemistry between the OTP and his colleague are good, I'm in.
Aww, yeah! DH second season, agree. They can change the student casts but should keep the teachers. DH wouldn't be DH without JYP, LOL.

I dunno. this is not appealing to me yet. but its those kinds that end up surprising me so i might give it a shot....if i haven't failed pharmacy school yet for watching all these dramas. :( back to studying

It's alright if some don't find this drama interesting enough to watch but calling H.I.T a "hit" is a joke. I couldn't go pass epi 2 and if I remember correctly, ratings were as in the mid 10's.

I don't care if he is a jerk/hottie nice guy or what so ever. He just can stand there looking hot forever.

Lee Jong Hyuk was my 1st celebrity-sighting in Korea last year while lurking at the KBS studios in Yeouido...& my, was I so surprised!!!
I just finished watching Chuno before leaving for Seoul & he looked so much younger & good-looking in person...& oh so friendly!!!
Well he's so unlike his villainous characters in Chuno & Green Rose...& he waved & said thank you to my greetings...that was before his manager came to block me & say.."No..No"!!!

i think the manager's role is always to say "no, no!"
a friend of mine waited for her fave korean actor in an airport in Japan (the actor was going to have a fanmeet there) to welcome him to the country, the actor's manager and handlers keep saying "no, no" (to taking pictures and approaching the actor), but the actor is so nice - he was the one who went to the place where the fans were patiently waiting for him.

oooh so hot so hot Lee Jong-hyuk....but Song-Il Gook isn't that bad...must be the hair. He looks much better here than in A man called God (?)yeah for that!!!

Song Il-kook and e Jong-hyuk, are better for this drama intead of the fomer
they are good actor and one is handsome and the other is atracttiv, but it is a good match
I WILL WATCH EVERY EPISODE , I CAN`T WAIT

This is better than expected. I wouldn't care if this beat Athena coz this proves a promising storyline and realistic street cop.
Yes DH needs a 2nd season, goodness I'm dying to know what they've become.

i always did lyk him. his last drama on kbs- please marry me/all about marriage- was good. not very great, but good. but m so glad to see him again :)
the idea of DREAM HIGH season 2...i agree completely. maybe they cud get another batch of idols as kids with their own new struggles on their way to fame :)
tho hmmm...m still not sure whether m gonna watch dis. maybe for LJH.
n also if my mom allows :( the problems with [i] not being korean[/i] -m indian- are many.... my mum doesn't get my obsession with k-dramas T_T
