GQ’s leading men round-up

Somebody was kind enough to round up four of dramaland’s top leading men in a spread for GQ Korea. To be more specific, the shoot features Song Seung-heon (My Princess), Jung Woo-sung (Athena), Lee Byung-heon (IRIS), AND Kwon Sang-woo (Daemul) in a veritable who’s who of eye candy icons. How sweet of GQ to line ’em up for us. Saves a girl the trouble of making multiple stops. ‘Cause you know, what’s the point in choosing when you can have all four?
Everyone’s looking sharp, although Jung Woo-sung looks a little sad, perhaps because they stuffed a tiny dog down his shirt. I…have no explanation for that. Doggie seems pretty happy about it though. Kwon Sang-woo is sporting a freshly shorn look for his new movie Pain [통증], where he plays a man who can’t feel pain, alongside Jung Ryeo-won, whose character has the opposite medical condition, making her extremely sensitive to pain, and the two fall in love. Directing is Kwak Kyung-taek, PD on the drama version of Friend, Our Legend.
The 10th anniversary March issue features fashion spreads with the actors, along with four different covers. Oh, now you’re making me choose. And you’ve gone ahead and put James Bond No. 1 (Lee Byung-heon) up against James Bond No. 2 (Jung Woo-sung), in their best James Bond tuxes! Aaaargh! Well, I say if I’m judging the book by its cover, Jung Woo-sung wins. But then, maybe Kwon Sang-woo’s a close second, from sheer velocity of eyebrow raise. Is it possible to get eyebrow whiplash?
Come to think of it, this whole photo spread is a giant Ode to the Eyebrow. So maybe Song Seung-heon has to win by default, because his individual photo (above) just says it ALL. I do love that he’s so hyper-aware of his beauty. These are my power brows. They’re to be used sparingly, when trying to emote. Oh, who’re we kidding. I whip ’em out when I’m feeling awesome…which is all the time.

I like the covers! I also like the picture of Song Seung-heon up top other then that. I think the photographer could have done something else with Jung Woo-sung, Lee Byung-heon, and Kwon Sang-woo to show of their good looks and bodies.

I know these 4 were chosen b/c they are among the biggest matinee idols in Korea, but based on looks, there are better choices aside from SSH (JWS, tho, while not as good looking should make it purely on a coolness factor).
On looks alone, I would have included any one of Kim Sung soo, Joo Jin mo, Jo Han sun, Oh Ji ho, Han Jung soo or Won Bin over LBH (never saw the appeal w/ him, has a bit of a "mush" face) or KSW (while having pretty good features, over all has a bland and innocuous look).

Aside from the cover, I heard that instead of a couple of individual shots inside, there will be 40, yes 40! as in like maybe 10 ind shots of each hot guy inside.

I agree - I'm not sure cute is the word, though, because he has a dangerous element to his looks.
That is why the Hae Young character works on so many levels. He's contantly threatening Seul, but then you picture him caring for her at his bedside, or lifting her out of the fountain.
All this time I thought I was under the spell of the muscles threatening to rip out those carefully tailored suits, and it turns out it's the eyebrows...Hmmm.

I have read three articles regarding GQ Korea (including this one). I have to say that GF's article was the best one, most humorous and self expressive. The other two were verbatim translations (I think since they said the exact same thing).
One of the thoughts that crossed my mind while viewing the pictures is: "Just how many pictures did they take and what did they do with the pictures they didn't use?"

Wooo... I love. I must admit that SSH is the cutest of the 4 IMO even though he's not my fave. He really does have that "I'm so awesome and I know you think so too" look LOL -- It just works for him so well!! :) JSW is definitely my fave although I don't really feel the dog photo. Don't know what it's about him but he just seems really cool looking.

I came across this first in another blog and I was waiting for either you or JB to feature it here in DB. KSW is my first kdrama actor love and SSH is my latest kdrama obsession. I still have to discover LBH and JWS...but they sure look good in these photos, too.
They said there are about 40 photos of these guys inside the mag. :-) With these hot men on the cover, I foresee the copies flying off the shelves like crazy...

SSH has really really really really got to thank the person who convinced him to do My Princess with KTH.
He may never play a character as charming, beautifully dressed and scaped, and adored as PHY again.
And as exhausting as these drama schedules are compared to films, they put him on our screens for months. It is very hard not to fall for that much pretty over that many hours of viewing.

I believe the GQ people had a hard time shortlisting the 4 too. But I can see their rationale. All 35 and above, all hallyu stars with definite overseas market and all gorgeous in their own ways.
Here's their horoscope line up:
SSH: Libra
KSW:Leo
LBH: Cancer
JWS: Pisces
A pretty good mix except no earth sign.

I have ordered the SSH cover! it was WOWWWW when first set eyes on this cover. Nobody could fit the word HANDSOME so totally like him.
