Kim Soo-hyun is in demand

…and not just from his drama-loving noonas. (Although that’s a gimme, isn’t it? The boy is adorable. And talented. Also hot.)

Kim Soo-hyun is currently off being awesome in his drama series Dream High, the totally-not-that-bad-at-all-and-in-fact-kind-if-starting-to-rock high school series on KBS that stars him as a musically gifted student at an idol-cultivating ~~battlefield~~ ~~factory~~ school. Thanks to the drama’s popularity and Kim’s performance as a heart-tuggingly sweet country bumpkin, he’s experiencing a fresh wave of interest, which is great for his career but also for his bank account. Successful dramas equal increased CF contracts, and we can expect a lot more of him in the very near future — according to advertisers, he’s currently the top pick for CF offers.

In the 2011 Asia Model Awards on January 21, he was also the winner for its CF Model category and is being called a “twentysomething icon” in the CF world. I’d say he’s not a bad twentysomething icon in the regular world, either.

Dream High is noteworthy in that a large portion of its main cast consists of pretty idol faces, which is risky move given the frequently negative evaluations of idols in acting roles. I’d say the idols are hanging in there, acting-wise (the performances range from shaky to fairly decent), but I’m thankful that they did cast one serious actor — even if he hardly looks serious at all when he’s oh-so-hilariously busting out the dance moves and singing in his goofy way. Oh, Sam-dong. Never change.

It's the most recent one off of KBSW. I dont know the episode number but it's probably floating around someone online lol.

Yoonji was super cute too! It's always a marvel when the actress is completely different from the character she plays lol. Apparently Yoon-sama told her never to be an actress! Glad she didnt listen :P

I hope DH means that he can start having real roles instead of just playing child versions of characters now. The boy's ridiculously talented and beautiful. ♥

Ok, enough of the fangirl. Yay for him! When i like a drama I’m always happy if the actors (and the drama) are successful. He is young, and although I´ve never seen him before Dream High, I believe him in there. I like Korean CF, maybe Youtube will provide me with his CF soon.

To be honest, I stopped watching WISFC and Giant after he disappeared. I know I should've gave them a chance but Kim Soo Hyun was no longer there to hold my attention :(

Wow, you left Giant pretty early. Park Sang-min is amazing as the adult version of Sung-mo. Actually, the whole drama is amazing.

I don't think you have to worry about those things at your young age of 20.

Always remember the golden rule: age divided by 2 + 7. That means you can date someone 17 or older. But if you wait it out you too can date Justin Beiber. <- Pls don't hate me for that joke.

This kind of unfortunate events often has me wonder about South Korean Labor Law, which would surely be interesting to study.

@36 & 37 Wow, thanks for pointing that out - I knew there was a reason I was in love with him since WISFC. Oguri Shun's one of my favorite Japanese actors, although I really love it when he does the comic roles more than his serious roles. Not that he doesn't do brooding well.

Anyway, lovely to know KSH, the love of my life, other than SJK, YAI and...a thousand others...is doing so well! The boy deserves his limelight, especially since he has the talent to back it up. KSH FTW!
