Royal couple stills from My Princess

Promotion is really heating up for My Princess, which premieres in just over a week on MBC. The fantasy romantic-comedy series has released yet more stills — couple photos this time of Kim Tae-hee and Song Seung-heon, with the former dressed up in all her royal finery.
I think she looks more like Disney’s idea of a princess (…half a century ago) than, say, a modern-day imagining of one (Kate Middleton scoffs at those ridiculous pearls, the gaudy jewelry, and that curtain-print dress), but for a kdrama interpretation of a fantasy world in which Korea somehow still employs a monarchy, Kim Tae-hee looks sweet and adorable. People should really wear tiaras more in real life. And half-sleeved formal gowns.
The drama premieres January 5.

She looks like a mix of grace kelly and audrey hepburn....pretty! I love the pics where she looks at us over his shoulder....so romantic! Loved that arm curled around her waist so protectively.....can't wait for this drama

Agree with you on the Audrey Hepburn vibe. I'm liking Kim Tae Hee more and more with these stills. No wonder she does so many CFs- there really is something abt her that makes you want to buy what she's selling. Hopefully, this drama will be one that will get her to develop her acting chops.
and for some reason, to me, SSH is channeling such friendliness (like a successful first son from a large family in a daily sitcom) that I think he may actually get through this rom-com.

This couple is really beautiful. But they usually appear more attractive in photos but not so in dramas. Don't know why.
I will wait for some recap and comments before jumping into this drama. I can at least adjust my expectation and will not be too disappointed.
I am glad that I have not started watching "Mary stayed out all night". I like MGY and JGS. But judging from the comments, I better not watching it.

I actually like 16-17th century princess idea more than the modern day princess looks. Extravagant ball dresses, laces, big head piece, etc. ^^

The whole Audrey Hepburn vibe I'm getting from the stills is probably the biggest draw for me (I'm a sucker for Audrey Hepburn). Well that and the promise that Seung Hun finally gets the girl [of his dreams] (still disappointed in how things were left in East of Eden).
I only hope the series doesn't let me down.

i agree about the clothes.....if they were going to go for a modern royal family i think goong did it better stylistically...that said i love the second and third pic....tey sure do look adorable especially Kim Tae Hee.....i'm still wary about teh drama though..i wish they's gove us more clue as to how they plan on doing the long lost princess thing??

I don't mind the clothes and I do think it's a throwback to Roman Holiday movie era but they may look the part but if there's no substance I am heading for a b-line. Looks can go only so far from me, if these actor/actress doesn't have the charisma or talent I'd rather watch people who do.
I'll still keep my eye on this though because I can't help but be curious.

i agree with you. the dress has got to go. it looks like it belongs in the 40s but even then dresses in the 40s look better than that. i do have to say that i like the fabric though; it would make for an awesome looking skirt.
her hairstyle reminds me of audrey hepburn in her princess movie - i think it's call "Roman Princess'? <3 audrey hepburn

They're doing a really good job of getting me excited for this. I'm in real need for something brainless and cute (no MSOAN doesn't cut it.) I just can't wait for this to air. And it doesn't help that Song Seung-heon looks so goood in that suit. I mean, Jesus Christ.
