I also like the premise but was hesitant to watch it but after watching the first couple episodes I found it interesting so it's worth checking out.

I guess it just depends on what you enjoy watching. I, myself, have been following Daemul since it first aired, and I admit that some of the political aspects of the drama can be a bit confusing and somewhat boring at times. After a while though, I found all the yelling and speeches and bribery (etc.) quite intriguing that it made me want to find out what happened next. Of course, Daemul also has it's side plots of non-political stuff such as the relationships between the four main leads: Kwon Sang Woo with Ko Hyun Jung... Cha In Pyo with Lee Soo Kyung, and sometimes that is mixed up a little bit too (although maybe in more subtle ways compared to your typical romantic Kdrama plotline). What keeps me interested is how the drama manages to incorporate these relationships in with the all the political drama going on while also sprucing it up with some moments of lighthearted comedy.

So yeah.. basically, if the politics in Daemul are not your cup of tea, then I promise that the romance and light comedy will make it worthwhile. (:

Gave up, after watching up to episode 16 because the real life cabbage wars and the actual parliament fighting seem far more interesting. Also, this GHJ's acting does hold up. KSW is the one who has held up the entire drama. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of him. Once his onscreen dad was murdered, I gave up watching. I found the actor who played his dad is the best actor among the crowd....

Let's see in 20 years time, how your young idol will look like. May be, they will look like those creatures in star wars....

the drama hasn't even aired and we got people already making ignorant comments. it's called a GENRE. so if you were to watch a american tv show based on doctors you would say that all of these shows are copying each other? detective shows? vampire shows? and then judge that as saying they lack creativeness.. ? wow. YOU NEED TO GET OUT MORE OFTEN. also what does that have to do with educational system that lacks creativeness? have you even been to korea under their education system? most likely not so what gives you the right to judge? if you don't know anything it's best to keep quiet than trying to make yourself seem like a dumbass trying to act smart.
