Hyun Bin’s on top for Secret Garden

The thing is, I really want to enjoy the idea of Hyun Bin somehow landing on top of Ha Ji-won for their new drama Secret Garden — and seeing what ridiculous plot contrivance is employed to get our characters into such a position oh-so-coincidentally — but I’m too distracted by the shiny be-sequined jacket that he’s wearing, and the matching sparkly racing stripe running down his pant legs. Who do you think you are, Kwon Sang-woo?
The bickering loveline — the lifeblood of the kdrama romance — starts right away from Episode 1, which is where this scene will be found, as Hyun Bin’s character, a prickly department store owner, runs into the stuntwoman played by Ha Ji-won. (They’ll later switch bodies/souls and fall in love with themselves each other.)
The drama kicks off this weekend, and recently released photos from the cast’s script rehearsal (pictured below) to drum up some interest. The three ladies pictured are series lead Ha Ji-won and supporting actresses Kim Sa-rang and Yoo Inna. The drama has been attracting much buzz for its A-list leading couple, who have been doing a lot of film work in recent years, particularly Ha. But that’s not the only pairing worth mentioning; writer-director duo Kim Eun-sook and Shin Woo-chul have led a number of dramas to ratings highs, such as Lovers In Paris and City Hall.
In addition, a whole slew of new stills has also been released via the show’s official website, which you can also find below. The body-swapping fantasy rom-com, which also stars Yoon Sang-hyun and Philip Lee, premieres its first episode out of its planned 20 on Saturday, November 13.

Yoo In Na is also in this? I loved her in High Kick Through The Roof and enjoy her on Heroes, so this is yet another drama I gotta watch.

I think Hyun Bin might be wearing Jeremy Scott for Adidas, a brand favorite among Korean stars. What I find more odd are Kim Sa Rang's (?) big sleeves.
Winter is here and I'm ready for a good funny romcom. :)

Yeah the shiny track suit is something else but it the line-backer coat that realllyyy caught my eye. I felt like my aunt's dog who didn't understand what the heck you where talkin about when you start talkin to him in baby gibberish, I found myself slowly turnin my head on the side!! hahahaha!!!

Man, those are BIG.
I'm watching Park Jin-hee in Giant, where it's currently the year 1986. She's sporting bold eye makeup, neon pink lipstick and some blingy stuff, but even SHE won't wear stuff like that, even in 1986!

I'm excited about this, since it'll be Hyun Bin's last drama before heading to serve. But he sooo skinny. Comparing his physique in Snow Queen, which is much better for his body type. But I hope this drama does good ratings wise. Because ever since Samsoon, he never got any hits. :-(

Sarah, I get the best laugh out of your comments and insights.
Although, in this particular blog entry, you got beat out by that coat with the big shoulders. Reminds me of the coat worn by the sentry/doorman at entrance to the "Emerald City".
It will be interesting to see how the two leads will play in a rom-com.

same here. haven't checked out mary yet (don't know just not digging the concept, vibe & chemistry?? yet?) but this got me piqued for now..after SKKS (which i first thought was just the same-ol-same-ol romcom and wasteful vehicle for yoochun's acting! orz *my bad for bein a self-confessed judgemental*) i thought i would have nothing more to watch, which is good for my studies really :)... but not so sure if good for my sanity-and-maybe-heart! =p
also..if only, jang hyuk, he's so manly esp in his last drama, chuno, would have been EPIC to see him go effeminate now! too bad, just realized now after seeing the poster

BTW, narcissism is going to proliferate in this drama. When the main characters kiss, it's like they are kissing themselves. Not to mention they're falling in love with themselves (on the outside at least). How strange would it be to watch yourself fall in love? I suppose this line of thinking could lead up to all kinds of wrong... >.< I doubt the writers would go there, although it could be funny.

well, judging from the looks of HB's *shiny* attire, maybe it's the director's way of telling us it's HJW inside Hyun Bin's body (as if we ladies have such lousy taste in fashion, sheesh).

I can get by the sequined jacket that he’s wearing, for it is part of the script, And he's so freaking funny and witty with his words when each time someone comment on it.. it was worth watching... BIG HUGG SAMSHIKI *smooch*
