Kim Jae-wook joins Mary Stayed Out All Night

…which will now be known as The Greatest Trendy Drama Casting EVAR. Okay, maybe just this year. But oh, happy day!

Jang Geun-seok AND Moon Geun-young AND Kim Jae-wook, together in a love triangle?? Where are you, November?

Mary Stayed Out All Night is the manhwa-adapted KBS drama that gets the heroine tangled up in not one but TWO contract marriages. Writing is In Eun-ah (Goong); directing is Hong Seok-gu (Kyung-sook, Kyung-sook’s Father).

Kim’s Jung-in character is a “perfect” guy with the kdrama triple threat of brains, beauty, and money, with whom Mary has been betrothed since childhood. Complications arise when she meets Mu-gyul, Jang Geun-seok’s free-spirited hippie/indie rock singer character. Yes, Kim is technically the second lead, but I’m expecting this to be an epic love triangle — at least I hope so. (The best love triangles are the ones that give me the most trouble deciding who to root for, because I like that angst to be as organic as possible.)

Kim Jae-wook made an impression with his pretty face in 2007’s Coffee Prince as “Waffle Sun-ki,” but has been, in my mind, just another beautiful celeb who had yet to prove any acting talent. That was until he took on the nuanced, volatile, and vulnerable character of the damaged chaebol in this year’s Bad Guy, and knocked that role out of the park. I was thrilled to see him break out and show real charisma and acting talent, which may have not been polished but was all the more compelling for its raw intensity.

I can’t WAIT to see this drama now!

Mary Stayed Out All Night airs in KBS’s Monday-Tuesday slot following Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and premieres November 8.

Kdrama world, you rock. I love the fact that I haven't an Asian bone in my body and yet know enough about each of these actors to be super excited about this drama. And getting excited over this is SO much cooler than knowing the names of all Brangelina's kids... or something.

Two incredibly beautiful and talented men in one drama, what shall I do!? Well I think I will still ultimately be rooting for JGS's character, but it will be wonderful to actually feel something for the second lead. CAN'T WAIT ! :)

btw is it only me but everytime I see Kim Jae-wook he reminds me of No Minwoo (2nd male lead in my gf is a gumiho & also an ex-trax member)..maybe because they have some resemblance? lol anyway they're both f*cking HOT!!

I didn't know who NMW was until I watched .....Gumiho
and since then I am so in love with both.

They both have this kind of vibe that they are androgenous or that they are bisexual, but for me who cares, I love their vibe. In my weird mind they are so sexy because they are "in touch with their feminine side.....ha! ha! ha!" Don't get me wrong I am a heterosexual female and usually my taste in "crushes" are "manly man", I hate "pretty boys" but this two
are the exemption to my rule!!

hahahahha! me too. when i watch gumiho for the 1st time i actually thought that no min woo was kim jae wook. but what make me realized he wasnt him (hehehehe) was his jaw line. kim jae wook have a stronger jaw line than no min woo. their jaw line was the beginning on their differences in my eyes. hahahaaha! i really2 like guys with a strong jaw line..like hiro mizushima ^^ so that i kinda aware of that part on every men. hahahaha!

for me kim jae wook is a beautiful macho man (based on his picture above, he even seems like an arrogant beautiful macho man. hahahhah!) so in my opinion Park Shi-yeon might work with him since she kinda have the arrogant beauty look. kkkkk!

OMG!OMG!OMG!

First time I am so excited about a new drama. Per JB this will be shown Nov 8 on KBS so I am expecting this will be a month late before its shown in KBS World channel, so yeah this is an early Christmas bonus for a KDRAMA fan like me. I remember same time last year I was watching "You're Beautiful" and was like a "crack addict" waiting for JBs recap and watching the broadcast. So for this year my "crack" will MSOAN!!!!!!

I JUST LUV LUV LUV KIM JAE WOOK, and JGS IS THE CHERRY ON TOP !!!!!! Or is it vice versa? Who cares I am so happy!!!!!!

Like others, I was wondering why KJW's next role after Bad Guy wasn't a lead. But now I'm beginning to think Jae Wook is more savvy than I gave him credit for. He obviously knows a golden opportunity when it is presented, even if it means taking a supporting role. Judging from the Squee Degree following this casting announcement, Jae Wook's popularity has nowhere to go but up, and the show isn't even airing yet. The world is definitely in the palm of his hand.

Great! Two of my favorite artists will finally be together. I missed Jang Geun Suk so much and it's a welcome treat to me. I hope that this has another good storyline and it will surpassed the rating of You're Beautiful.
