If he decides to do this drama project, he should first make sure it's legally ok under the contract of the You're My Pet project. I wouldn't want him to go through Go Hyung Jung #2 with Daemul.

i feel great respect for JGS. he is a great actor! i hope this drama will not be a bundle of cliches and hope to see him show his acting abilities! i admired his skills in You're Beautiful (great drama!)

oh JGS. you really love taking on dramas that are related to music don't you. okay it sounds like quite the cliche manhwa plot but i'm sort of a sucker for these kinds of plots... if delivered well.

So glad to see him again and as a singer ... I think he likes acting in things related to art,a singer, a musician , a dancer...if he had been in bbf he would have played the violin. It's lucky for him to be able of mixing up acting and his likes . I consider he's a very good actor so he can portray any character in an outstanding way ...oh i do wanna watch him . I expect his character to be deep and with a lot of conflicts ..i'd be glad to see him in one of those XD

Is it naive of me to hope that this drama will have a more indie vibe and be amazing? maybe... I have to say, I am bummed that Kimi Wa Petto is being delayed - it would be nice to see a new side of JGS.

I definitely agree that he's focusing too much on musician roles, but maybe this is his way of being a musician AND an actor - eating your cake and having it, in a sense :D If that's what it is, I don't blame him - being an actual idol star is tough and doesn't always allow for a significant acting career on the side. If his management is pushing him toward the role, though, then they should know better.

And you know despite all this, it might just be SBS putting out the story because they WANT him to play the role. He's one of a few [young] actors that are talented musically and are good actors (i.e. an actor who can sing as opposed to an idol star trying to act) - it's likely that these roles often come to him because of that.

He really likes to play characters where he can 'rock out' a whole lot. I think he's secretly waiting for a music producer to invite him to form a band to release a few albums.

Well, he did say he was not planning a musician career for now. He should either be a singer or an actor. And if he wants both, do it, but keep them seperate. Music inspired roles that are good in both their music AND acting, are rare. He'll be limiting himself.

He can have his cake and eat it, but he should keep acting as acting and music as music. Be a singer and an actor. Not an actor only playing a singer/musician in his roles.

He doesn't establish himself as a proper singer and neither does he go forward in his acting like this. He just stays where he is.

He should either juggle these two careers at the same time, but seperately, or pick one and save the other for the future. Combining them like this without focusing on either one, doesn't seem like a way forward.

As much as I want to see him and as much as I hope he'll be the actor I know he can be, I think this is a very wrong move and would rather wait as long as it would take and see him on a more mature and different role than for him to just typecast himself like this.

Another interesting thing about this manhwa adaptation is that Mary actually ends up marrying the rock dude but after her marriage, she finds out from her father that he had already wed her to another man (when she was little) which is the the other male lead.

hehehe JGS+deathmetal? that's caught my interest despite whatever the drama's about... i wonder if he can pull it off. It's an ..interesting.. mix to say the least. On the other hand, the story sounds a bit tired. Ugh, bad boy/good guy love-triangles.

Anyway, deathmetal is pretty far removed from the type of musicians he played in other roles - despite the talk of typecasting, i'd say he could be a pretty interesting character, unless they tone down the deathmetal side for the audience.

tbh, I was looking forward to Kimi wa Petto more than I will this, but that won't stop my anticipation. I think I really am a 'fangirl'. 0_0

I will be wildly anticipating this drama. He's certainly partial to dramas involving music. Let's hope his musician character in this one will be different enough from the other ones so he won't be typecast! I trust his judgment.

Hmmm... despite the fact that it would be another "musician" role for JGS, I read this as being deeper and darker in tone than his previous roles as such. Of course, having no familiarity with the source material I can't say anything for certain. But it sounds as if the role has the potential to be much meatier, something I'm sure he'd take great pleasure in playing with.

I fully trust his instincts in choosing roles at this point. From what I have read in interviews, he does so very thoughtfully, even willing to admit that certain roles weren't his best work. He seems to have learned from his missteps, constantly challenging himself to be a better actor.

If this role ends up happening for him, I'm sure we can expect his best. He'll bring that certain undefinable, yet subtle quality of his to this (or whatever role he chooses next) and I, for one, can't wait for it!
