I wasn't a music major, nor have I sung since high school choir, so my facts might be a little off... but it could be that she has a very strong chest voice and until now has only used her head voice to since.

Back in 2008 I called KBS and asked about Ku Hye Sun the "singer". He laughed at me and said she was "only an actress." Yeah - right, I guess the title song in Pure in Heart, her song in Boys Before Flowers, and now The Musical Kind of make him look foolish. I can't wait to hear this "non-singer" perform. Knock 'em dead Hye Sun !!

Don't forget her album "Sum." I wish I wasn't as talented as her !

a lot of korean people ,specially females ,have very pale skin like han ga in ,kim tae hee ,song hye kyo and gu kye sun ,and is contrasting when they are paired with tanned actors ,like kim tae hee with lee byung hun in iris or song hye kyo with rain in full house ,scientifically women are some 3 % lighter than males

I think in Asia, pale white is preferred for females. When I was holding my baby girl @ her 1 month old, someone came up to me and told me "you must have eaten too much soy sauce, that's why your baby is so dark!" Wow! Darker skin is associated with "worker" who had to labor in the fields. Anyways, back to the subject, I think Hye Sun looks very poetically sweet. Her color is just fine. She's a very good actor.

That bob hairstyle just brought back terrifying memories of BOF. Let's hope she does better here, or atleast, walks properly.

I like her with long hair... I hope she has long hair in the drama! Or at least not the JD's hair from BOF. Still short hair but different style should be fine.

On a side note, I love those oversize sweaters that I see her wear in BOF. Like the one in the pic above (:

yes she can do many things and is more talented than the norm but seriously compare to other artists, actors, singers ect. she just mediocre. she really isnt popular in anything.

i don't know what everyone is being so critical...i think she's very cute and talented. not a lot of actress can do a musical. give the chick a chance. i really like her! i personally think she's cute, talented, and a true artist. she isn't all that popular bc she's not trashy like(LEE HYROI for example).....she sells true talent.

I think the half part of this year will show dramas on a musical theme.. i can't wait to watch Goo Hye Sun again.. and I hope this drama will show more of her talent as an actress..

@26, i agree to you too! Goo hye sun does'nt have that husky and powerful voice, but she can sing and given the chance to dance, she can be good at it too,maybe way better and decent singer and dancer than LH.

The last I checked Gu Hye-sun was set to act in a Taiwanese drama this year also! Based on a Japanese manga, Zettai Kareshi, which was actually made into a Japanese drama... I don't know whether her voice will be dubbed though...
