Happy Friday Yorabun (though it isn't that happy for me.. LOL) I'm addicted to dramas and I'm addicted to this site too.. so thanks!
On a random note, I think I'll have to stop watching dramas as they are ruining my life!

First post maybe?!!!
Anyway just wanted to say my drama addiction has kicked in again, unfortunately its a taiwanese drama this time called Autumn Concerto. Three days, 21 eps, by the end I was dying, the drama was like crack. I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a similar drama? One that has the same sort of epic love romance, good acting and a low angst level, AC really had the perfect angst level, unlike the weep-a-thon that is CS.

Happy Friday! :)
CS was a wee bit more enjoyable this week (esp ep 11) and it looks like things are going to pick up a bit in nxt week's episodes (hopefully). I sometimes feel like there's no main plot point here, like there's no goal. but some warped form of loyalty makes me keep going back and watching more eps. and after watching the cast on Happy Together, I genuinely like them. esp Seo Woo who doesn't seem that cutesy when out of character but instead v straightforward and sharp. And all in time for me to start liking her character a bit more on CS.
I really reeeeeally hope CS picks up the pace a bit for a good final sprint. I'd hate it if it started out awesome and ended flat. They'd just be wasting too much good talent!

The Miracle of Love starring Han Yeo-woon should have aired by now (both episodes aired today starting 21 pm Korean time). Did anyone watch this special drama yet? Also, is it available anywhere? I couldn't find a soompi thread for it...

I have never had so much trouble as I've had.....TRYING.......
to watch "Personal Taste" online with English sub-titles.
I've posted before that I wish the dopes who run Korean TV
would recognize the existance of their non-Korean speaking
audience....or isn't "world-wide audience" any part of their
vocabulary? I only watched up until Episode #9.
Viikii plug-in, my foot. :(
Saving up my money to buy the Personal Taste DVD. :(

I'm a viikii subber and the plug-in is a very small file which helps people view the videos faster. As we have so many people in our site, the site has lag a lot w/o th eplug in. If you don't wish to use viikii, it's actually better for us as we'll have one less person on the site! lol =.=

Hi from California!
Uninstall and then reinstall the viikii pugin. Also make sure your flash player is up to date. It asked me to download the newer version. I did that and it works now.
If all else fails you can watch it on mysoju, but it will be a few episodes behind viikii.
Hope this helps.

internet is going mega slow again, thanks to my sisters, who have been exceeding the bandwith from watching 10000 videos of pokemon on youtube. argh. i need my drama fix.
just started watching ''p.s man" this week, cliche but quite addictive. what gets me frustrated is that i love everything about this drama except for the female lead. i really really want to look over it, but it's starting to bug me, hopefully things will improve in the later episodes, not that i'll be able to watch it anytime soon anyway with my mega slow internet...T_T

exams/essays + dramas are such a dangerous combi. i remember nearly throwing my honours thesis to the four winds thanks to season 6 of buffy! gah! patience is a virtue. i recommend pulling through by 'rewarding' yourself for every hour or so of study with maybe 10 min of the drama you're chasing. worked for me once.

miharatori is uploading Romance on youtube. (it's a hard to find drama)
Whenever she does that it slows our internet connection to a snails pace.
So, I know what you are going through.

I was going through one of my most depressing phases when drama actaully took me away into another world. And i got hooked into a taiwanese drama called Iswak. Then coffee Prince and the list is now endless. I just finished autumns concherto and following OML and Personal Taste.
As a drama addict I am totally bowled over by Pt. I guess the whole gay thing where a man and woman discover each other ( similar to coffee Prince with out too much angst ) and fall in love despite of it , Its somr thing evry woman wants to experience. Lee Min Ho now makes me blush while even thinking of him. These dramas are really cool stories and i love the romance in them . Sorry for waxing poetic but i feel really good about Drama beans as well. Its showing me that there is a need for these things and its getting fulfilled. Hope i did not take too long ......
Lets Have more fun. FIGHTING .

Happy Mother's Day (in 2 days) to all the mommy drama lovers out there (and daddy, children drama lovers, make sure you give your mommy/wifey a big fat kiss for all their hard work!).
First things first, for those of who curious about the old-school K-drama What Happened in Bali, a review has been posted at Thundie (written by yours truly, but I would love if you all went to poke around TP and see all the goodies Thundie has compiled): http://thundie.wordpress.com/2010/05/06/what-happened-in-bali/
I'm still not caught up on PT12, gah, I blame it all our Our Pi (um, our is mine and serendipity's, but everyone is welcome to come claim a piece, I think Pi is meant for sharing).
I finished Buzzer Beat last night, which entailed trying to watch the last 3 episodes with my husband making fun of Pi, Keiko, and the entire cast and the "basketball" playing skills. I'm just so glad I was not caught watching YT vids of Seshun Amigo (oh lord have mercy, never have I been so hypnotized by sheer cheese). [and yes, serendipity, the boy wonder appears to have been severely tanned making BB, love to read his blog myself, except my Japanese is rustier than a nail submerged in the Pacific).
@ momosan, I'm totally gearing up to watch Yankee-kun, just want to bank a few more eps. Is it more Nobuta, Zakura or Otomen in flavor? And are you gonna watch Tsuki no Koibito on Monday? If so, please give an ep. 1 first impression. The CM I watched, and some cast interviews, everyone is looking good, but I CANNOT get over how annoying Lin Chi-ling's real voice is (remember, she collectively pissed off the entire Chinese audience in Red Cliff part 1 so much they dubbed her and only her for Red Cliff part 2). But I have to say, she looks great with KimuTaku. Is she the koibuto?
BB is a third-rate sports-rom (rom-sport?) that is saved by a "seared into my brain I love it so much" soundtrack, the quitessential jdorama directing that combines movement with elegant simplicity, and of course, For the Love of Pi. Otherwise, it's probably Pride's bastard younger brother. [Yeah, my Pride DVD is coming, I can finally see what makes momosan all fluttery about it!]
I feel like AMCG is limping towards the finish line (what a shame, such an exhiliratingly Am I seeing what I'm seeing? start). But I'm totally geared up for Kim Suro. Dong Yi lost me the second it became Da Jeum Geun part 2, but 6 years later you would have though PD Lee would have take steps forward and he appears to have stayed stagnant (plus HHJ is not (yet) LYA, and JJH is strangely the smiliest Emperor ever in a saguek, and kinda creeps me out with his grinning eyes and yo-ho-ho portrayal).
But PT, sigh, PT is love. Lee Min-ho-My God, I'll take the fast train into the fire for you and Pi. I'm okay with or without an extension. Or even a bout of cancer, leukemia, or kidney failure. I vote for paralysis, hand paralysis, so that Kae-in has to be Jin-ho's hands in finishing the museum project. Yay for fatal illness + OTP working together!

@ Icarusfalls: Good to see another fellow ViiKiilian who understands the hard work we put into subbing/uploading/editing/etc the dramas.
Anyways, this is dramabeans guys, let's not forget that and let's not use it as an excuse to to start an all out war between those loyal to ViiKii and those less appreciative of the effort put into it.
So:
@Om: It's funny you said Autumn's Concerto is not angsty, because the fast forward button became my best friend. It wasn't just the angst (although you're right, CS is a bit more extreme when it comes to the angst) but it was just too slow for me. Maybe it's because I'm used to the shorter J-doramas, or the often fast paced K-dramas I decide to watch. Don't get me wrong, I love me my Taiwanese dramas too (Down With Love, P.S Man - this one starts out REALLY SLOW but gets better, etc).
@Folks still in School: I just can't help but say... My last final was this week and I'm not taking any courses for summer, just work (Finally.. I'm tired of overloading with classes and no play). HAHA! SUMMER here we come!
