Oh hells yeah!!!! JB, you wouldn't believe how opposite gentle and serious he is in AMCG (well, okay, he can fake gentle and if being a closet psychopath is serious, then he's that as well).

Kim Min-jong is one of the best things about AMCG, he's got an incredible screen presence which belies his (slighter) stature, even acting opposite the imposing SIK, he's tremendously riveting.

And he's playing a good? guy this time? Yay, and my I Lub You's best friend to boot. I swoonz in happiness, and Athena is back in my good graces again with the good taste to cast KMJ.

I have a soft spot for KMJ ever since Secret. I hated the drama but man when he grabbed KHN at the street intersection my heart missed a beat (ok this move was new back then). Not the best looking dude but he has screen presence and charisma. Athena is much better with this pick though it still doesn't make up for Lee Jia.

Sounds kind of similar to Kim Soyeon's character in Iris?

But I'm pretty excited for this drama. Hopefully hype doesn't kill another drama.

I am currently watching him in 'A MAN CALLED GOD" and it seems his character is going to be the same in 'Athena'... Honestly, I'm not too impressed with this guy and the way he does his serious face just irks me in the wrong way.

Whatever. Thankfully there's Jung Woo Sung & Su Ae that will keep my interest. I'm still awaiting Lee Jung Jin's to take part in 'Athena'... I would love to see he & Su Ae reunite after '9 End 2 Outs' but I guess that can wait for a different genre Kdrama.

Oh, YES! I *love* Kim Min-jong! He became an instant favorite of mine after I saw him in Rules of Love (aka Our Attitude to Prepare Parting) and he was the only thing that made Secret worth watching. He has these big expressive eyes :) Can't wait to see Athena now!

Actually ‘9 End 2 Outs’ is the reunion. They already acted together in a horrible kdrama called April Kiss. He played bird boy, Soo ae might have had amnesia and that is pretty much all I remember.

I love Kim Min Jong. I really love him. I have been loving him for 13 years. I started loving him since I saw Feelings, Mr. Q, Secret, Angel Guardian, Rules of Love, Islands' Teachers... I just can't take my eyes off him. Does anyone know where I can download, or watch Drama Mr. Q?

well that's great. i don't know much about him but i'm currently watching him on a man called god and judging from his role there, he should be pretty suitable for athena. that aside, i think his eyes are very expressive.

I first saw him in Rules of Love, it stuck in my mind as about the only K-Drama I have seen where the 'second' male lead get the girl. As for his role in A MAN CALLED GOD I found him very scary..quite the psychopath hiding behind his carm fake persona, and the scene where he kills his race horse ..shivers

The only reason why he, the second male lead in "Rules of Love", managed to get the love interest is because of his fans' protest. Initially, he wasn't even given much screen time but the other leads or supporting leads were all small fries. Therefore to generate interest in the drama, his name was widely used in its promotion. His fans were angry and concluded the company was just making use of his name and reputation to advertise the drama and protested strongly against this injustice. After that, the company backed down and increased his screen time and also gave his character the love interest in the end.

He is a very good actor, from the time he acted in "Ghost" but unfortunately, he wasn't given a memorable enough role to cement himself in the league of great actors in the audience's eyes. He is one of the few actors in the industry, who can juggle his acting and singing career well.

I am very excited at how the confirmed male actors feed off one another's acting and personal charisma in the movie. I don't have much expectations for the ladies though.

i remember him now. he's the guy in Guardian Angel with Song Hye Kyo, right? Didn't watch the drama, but I caught glimpses of it when I channel-surfed while it was airing on a local channel. I think he's okay.

Thank for the behind the scenes view on Rules of Love. It was a good idea even if fan pressure, the one thing i really hate about the way k-drama are made is the so called input from fans, brought it about. As i say the drama sticks in my mind for the very reason the rich jerk, didn't get the girl as per normal. I always smile when they say the poor girl doesn't 'deserve' the rich guy, when the truth is normally he doesn't deserve her! And for once he didn't..lol.

OMG. Allow me a minute to run around in circles, flailing my arms like a madwoman...

If I wasn't so on board of the Athena thing already, THIS would convince me. I loved him in The return of Iljimae and I alsdkjaldjad ok, yes, I can't wait for Athena. Honestly. It's the one kdrama I'm most looking forward. I'm still meh about Lee Jia, but omg who cares at this point? Seriously, who cares? XD

I think he's a good actor! =) So this is a nice addition. I too hope this lives up to expectations (which sound high) -- I agree - it's very difficult to see Jung Woo Sung in a drama! Fighting!!

I agree with someone who posted earlier here that yes, this character is somewhat similar to the one he is playing currently in A Man called God with Song Il Gook so him getting this part for some reason doesnt seem too much of a surprise. I'm sure he'll do well.
