Haha, yes, the ending was something, but I would have had liked to hear what Yoon had to say, nosey, interfering In-woo. It would've been the same old; 'stay away from my daughter-my home-ME!' kind of reprimanding but the dude has a point!
I am slow on the uptake but I have to hand it to In-woo, he was incredibly sexy in this episode. Really gorgeous. This is the first drama I've seen Park Shi-hoo in btw.
But Yoon is still sexier. Case in point, the daydream atop the balcony, and the way they're both smiling at each other, their smiles break my heart. It was also hilarious in the sense that we know how Yoon would REALLY react to the news, and it would be the complete opposite. But he is adorable.

I laughed my ess off in the jogging scene, just DIIIIED laughing. And then when In-woo imitates her. Hahaha!
Don't know how closely you've been following the drama but In-woo is stalking the girl, along with his secretary for reasons yet unknown.

I have quite a few In-woo theories, but if a bunch of us get together we'll see if we can crack the mystery, but hail if this isn't unpredictable.

Just back from my business trip with so much to catch up and will have big thingie coming up tomorrow that I should NOT be DB/OT'ing here AT ALL. But I just can't help it. You all know how addicting this place is, right?!

@ ockoala - congratulations on your guest blogging on TBDAW! Will certainly read it after I watch this drama. In one of the cities that I visited China on this trip, they were showing this and I got hooked. It was a later episode I think. Never a LJK fan but I can see his dramatic depth here and NSM is always nice. Will watch this one soon, I hope. And I finally get hold of a set of LOCH 2008 (my husband bought me a wrong version earlier) - not sure when I can start the marathon....

In another city, they were showing Thankyou which also prompted my thoughts of a re-watch. So many dramas, so little time.

@ mookie and cingdoc - as ex-honkers, watch the movie 'Echoes of the Rainbow' if you can. I squeezed in this movie just before boarded the plane home during my half day transit in HK. It brings back so many, many old memories!!!

OML is the only current drama that I watch. Really enjoy it - I need some nobrainer to light up my days. I will definitely get back to Personal Taste and will try starting Prosecuter Princess after my upcoming big events. I have decided to watch Cinderella Sister after it ends - have all the angst in one go than torturing myself through weekly wait.

And, I still haven't got the time to finish the last four episodes of The Devil. As said earlier, I need quality time to finish this fine drama.

Lastly, great to see here some lovers of Lawyer of Korea!

Yes, I fear it is so. I caught a whiff of hum-drum in CU ep5/6, and I fear with ep7 it is upon us. Getting a little incoherent and into over-worn melo grooves. Nonetheless, cor, those actors! Great stuff! And, I too want a pet boy just like Taec, he's such an adorable woofie, so cute, I want.

i started to watch the CU w/ chinese subs, but the vid kept hanging on me... so i went over to viikii.... and those wonderful subbers already had 98% of eng subs done. so i dove right in.. (for any of the subbers that may visit DB, THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!)

i interpreted the scene w/ HS and KH as KH making sure she can take care of the factory when other ppl come to take it away.. not EJ, but his hyung. at first i thought it was really cruel, but HS reacts to cruelty more than she does to praise--which she just expects. so his kick in the ass is meant to help her develop. and a part of me thinks that KH does not like the way HS is disrespecting EJ.

i LOVE the adorable Taec. he was so cute doing things to make EJ remember him. and that he's the one w/ the sledge hammer.. what a way to make him work for his paycheck, huh? and i enjoyed every minute of it.

You got a hold of the LoCH2008 boxset? Woohoot, can't wait to hear what you think. An idolfied LC wuxia serial? Blasphemy......or brilliant genius? I firmly think its the latter for this production.

As for watching (you've not seen it before?) TBDAW, ahhhhh, you must watch! It converted me from a meh to LOVE on Lee Junki. And even more love for Nam Sang-mi. You should read the review first (I didn't give any spoilers away, really, honest cross my heart, you won't be spoiled), well, because I'm a terrible tempter and I want to tempt you to watch TDBAW sooner rather than later.

I'm not watching any current dramas (so weird), except for catching 2 eps of PT (getting better) and one ep of Dong Yi (verdict: skip).

Man, I'm not just a tempter, I'm also terrible weak-willed.

I watched the YEH cameo on PT. And can I say......squeeeeee! Seeing Shin Chae-kyung with Gu Jun-pyo was like a manga/drama/idol trifecta of splice love.

YEH is NOT suited for the role of KI in PT, I'm glad she turned it down, but dayum, she and LMH just spark, I am a billion percent on board those two making a drama together in the near future. Just sheer eye-candy galore. SYJ is a goddess, but her beauty doesn't make me drool, I just worship her. But YEH makes me drool, she's so effervescent when she hits it right. The first half of Goong is still a 9/10. The second half I don't even touch.

And the pacing, editing and general direction in PT was wonderful in those 6 minutes or so of her cameo. Gives off a spring wind blowing through a white cottage vibes, clean and slightly dreamy.

hehehehe.....yep, I think 7 was the best so far. I did laugh through most of it because it was very enjoyable and got a kick out of how it was mainly showing PSH and Ma and their relationship. The balcony scene and his fishing rod with bucket was PRICELESS! I kept thinking that the place must cost a fortune monthly!

I got a different take on that last scene with Yoon standing there watching the kiss. The way he re-acted when his daughter gave him the note was not a look of being "upset".....and you know, he COULD have just phoned her. No....I think he was upset for the opposite reason and it wasn't to give her h...l There was a reason why he told her about what happened to his wife, etc. in the car.....AND there was a reason for the scene with the other prosecutor letting Ma know she liked Yoon. I think the aggression for Ma is gonna start happening with Yoon being more assertive....after all, we are in episode 7 now.

I don't know for sure....but something looks fishy with her father?

And the thought occurred to me that Ma is just the front for what PSH might be after and that might be Yoon or even her father. You know how these dramas go? I thought it was kinda suspicious how PSH was turning so sweet about helping Ma and her love for Yoon. .....and I've noticed that many dramas seem to follow the same type of pattern where they put a little bit of a twist in it. Oh...of course, the thought did occur to me also that PSH DID put out the thought that he loves Ma and wants her. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on assignment for someone.

I think that's why I'm enjoying OML and Dong Yi.....and Daring Women....it's just for the no brainer of the dramas.....where there's a story and it makes me smile.

Oh also....I believe that Jang Hyuk got passed over deliberately for CHUNO....it's just like the American Academy Awards...all political. That final episode of the death scene had me crying....he's a veteran actor for sure. And that female with him? She was over the top and so beautiful!

Welcome back! yeah...you can get caught up after you've "refreshed".

Lawyers of Korea was a nice and enjoyable drama....especially with the lead actor Lee Sung Jae? Of course, his personality was something to be desired what an SOB....but he filled the character well.

yeah...OML is just rolling along! It will be airing here next week and I'm gonna watch it on my 32" Samsung flatscreen!!!! hehehehehe....better to look at that face of Choi Si-won!

o I saw Echoes of the Rainbow when I was back in HK! :) It's such a heart warming one down memory lanes. ( the producer/writer r family friends) Auntie Mabel and Uncle Alex always churn out quality stuff! It's very local though, I don't think anyone w/o a HK experience before the 80s will really get the spot on nostalgia. I'm so glad u liked it!! imo it was the best HK movie for a long while that touched me so deeply. hehe I'll see them in May and I'll definitely tell them.

I do agree, esp that he knew it's urgent to yell some sense into her and maybe he thought HS will react to cruelty more than niceties. He wasnt even in the hospital though to witness the HS/EJ outbreak and he's just back fr his 8 yr hiatus, what basis did he have on thinking HS disrespect EJ?! Of coz we know the hate/love relationship btn the sisters well enough, but KH shouldn't. I know what's writer is trying to do w/ that scene, but it's still incoherent. I will never fault CJM's acting, if that's KH gameplan, y that quite extreme agitation when he heard fr EJ ppl r really looking into taking over the winery?! ( I mean, duh u r 1 of them, dude...u don't think only your dad and bro r the only geniuses to scheme, right?) And he knew of that piece of info (evil bro's schemes) last ep, but he's still cooing and laughing it off as if nth at her 'let's get married'. I just thought what HS was venting in the car just prior, her complaint was very legit, it's not even whiny, she's just stating some truths. Yes, her crying for the nth time maybe annoying, but still those tears aren't fake to warrant such an out of character outburst fr him. I'll also entertain that he's too worried w/ EJ (she's supposedly in hosp in the mean time afterall), lost his cool and dumped it on HS. But how come he didnt even go do his angsty eye drama just outside her hosp rm w/o intruding to translate some real concern for us to interpret?! When he drove off w/ HS, there was no hint of repulsiveness, he's NEVER ever hollered at her and his characterization has always been a caring, considerate oppa....it's not cohesive writing imo. And even if I do not think too much into it, there's a whiff of him straightening HS to cover for his own guilt w/ the looming bad deeds he has to do to her/them. I cant see it entirely as for her sake ...and it annoyed me. I just thought KH's characterization begs for more thought and wit than the writer has allocated for him, jarring since we know she can do much better as in HS' characterization. It's been 3 eps of lazy writing now on KH.... argh *sigh*

Frankly KH has been leading HS on. Yes I think her feelings towards him was way exaggerated on her part, but when the first few and only emotionally true words fr EJ was accusing him of dating HS, leading HS on, he should get a better look at himself. Now if he's done that exchange say ep5, 6 I'll welcome it w/ a big wide hug @ CJM, but he's been his same old doting oppa to HS even knowing how it irked EJ, and how HS felt towards him (even if he's aware it's not entirely genuine)

@serendipity, yeah we sensed it in 5, 6 and 7 (worst 8) is just bringing it on. I cringed at that HS' uncle mind-numbingly predictable arc, it's taking up darn big load of screen time and for nth much. I still think CU is better than all K melo I've seen in characterization (I have to shut my brain more w/ MiSa frankly) and it did evoke many emotions in me unlike most of the rest.

D'oh! D'oh! Silly me! I was wondering why 7 didn't pack as much punch as 3,4,5,6 -- I'd missed out a huge chunk of what happened by jumping between part 5 to part 7 on viikiii. I cannot, simply cannot get over how In-woo's suddenly all lax and nice about Yoon ''Yoon has a scar''. WTF is going on now? My heart sank for him, but he's a great kisser. ;)
eiko, the problem here is that both guys are so darn inconsistent, one minute they're sweetness and sunshine, the next it's PMS. So you can't bet they'll continue with their sweet attitude to her in the next episode.
I had a good weep at Yoon's little confession in the car, but if you've seen 6, it's kind of feels like reciprocation of their gazebo scene in 6.
Dude, this show is one of a kind to me, I thought it was going to be an amalgamation of a bazillion other shows but it's totally challenging my kdrama-experienced mind with how dynamic and unpredictable it is. I needed an angst sandwich, my scheme was all in place until Bad Guy got postponed. Still, I needed something fun to distraction but not entirely stupid and I got it in PP.
But again, if it isn't for you, you can always drop it, sister.

I gotta agree with you....those 2 guys don't have a pattern going so there's no real fix on the episodes. I noticed they don't smile much either....and that kiss does grab attention doesn't it? I'm curious if Yoon is gonna make a play for a scene like that? I still think the kiss is the turning point for Ma.....confusion big time for her now.

By the way....seems like elevators are popular places to be in the kdramas if you wanna cozy up! LOL LOL....now we got Daring Women with a situation where lead male pulls female close to him when people come onto elevator except he grabs her a tad tooooooo quickly and her faces goes smack onto his white shirt leaving a lipstick imprint! LOL LOL>....I couldn't stop laughing. Geez....I could never get anything crazy to happen in an elevator! Not even in my dreams!

I tell you girl.....I get curious reading the stuff going back and forth....the only one I haven't gotten interested enough to go back is Personal Preference....

I think he's lost wt since start of drama.. he was chubbier and cuter in earlier eps as young KH, now even his babyface is more chiseled and angsty and I'm loving it *slurp* Who am I kidding? I have a suit fetish, put my yummy fangirl crushes in suits and I'm in my little corner of droolz and swoon. And I'm loving all the fashion here (huh when I have to resort to clothing gazing, u know how much I'm enjoying myself) not since Bora did I envy some pieces. (BORA must die coz I want her wardrobe)

Anyhow, meantime, I just watched Sunaoni narenakute ep2. Wow, I had no expectations after episode 1. I mean, it was going to be good, cute and something to watch while doing something else. Somehow, I find myself liking it more and more because it's all pretty realistic in terms of the dramas within the drama. It reminds of me of some stuff I hear from people I know or not... And Eita and Julie are brilliant, they sure do have presence. Jaejeng, he's keeping up with the rest and convincing!

I'm also thinking of starting Sunaoni narenakute. My drama shopping lately is embarrassing, I've seen many terrific ones that I've fallen in love instantaneously actually, but CU is owning my soul and braincells and taking up all my spare time.

I'm not sure if u have the time to catch up on CU7 w/ subs, bulk of my rantwas KH gave HS a good scolding, she was venting she did love EJ when she arrived and wanted very badly to have a sister, but she kept pushing her off and now it seems like she's taken her everything.... to which KH snapped and told her she's no ownership of anything that she hasnt strived for, including him. Stop it, dont depend on others, esp not him, Grow up and if she cries ever again, he wont have any of it....and he sped off. and our HS did react to it positively (u go girl!) and grow up like by every second, walked home in her killer heels, it must be the yrs of EJ death rays training in effect.

I loved the DS/EJ convos, he told her he knew her mom 'loves' him because he has gold for her to dig, and it's fine, since he has mom and EJ by his side and he wont trade anything for it. When he first met EJ, seeing how she carries herself, he can extrapolate how her mom's been treating her and how harsh her life must've been and he wished most then was to meet her earlier so he can guide her. (AWWWWW) EJ was beyond moved, in tears she asked him what she can do (to reprimand?) DS said ' Just don't leave me' (AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW)

Then it's the whole HS baddie uncle arc that I dont care for. He made some bad wine for profit in DS' bottles....very predictable 3grader stuff. I do like SW's drunk scene, but it's very childplay, the writing.

Actually I loved most of the lines of HS the most. It was tender, honest and heartbreaking. In wine cellar, she confessed to EJ she really did look up and want to be her, esp her cool of needing nobody, nonchalance if others like her or not. I dont think she's a mean brat at any point of her life, she can be manipulative, but deep down this is a lost little girl, everybody around her grew in lightspeed and 'went on a picnic where she's been left behind'. I do wanna give her a hug.

It's not making sense that KH's brilliant idea w/ the Uncle spoiled wine scandal was to try the Japan market....and bringing HS along. Rationally I do understand yes he's trying to show HS the ropes of handling the biz...but it's so in EJ's face and nobody's hiding the WTF to his suggestion.

Taec + EJ scenes were very cute, so we'll just have to go w/ EJ can show care and human feelings in front of him alone. She even asked if Jang ajusshi is doing well.

All of a sudden, I find myself so into Personal Taste I have to watch the new episodes raw. It's crept up on me... Yesterday's has me so worried now that I can't bring myself to watch today's. Oh dear.

HS is worried. mostly w/ no one to comfort dad post op. Now we got Villain mom we loved to hate showing tender moments of hardened genuine care. it's a bit preposterous. (and HS, hon, dad just had heart surgery, not good idea to grabby w/ his chest and wail) EJ comforted the devastated HS...um... showing progress in sisterly love is welcomed, but y now?! Mom's back to scary bitch we loved to watch w/ the ajummas (<3)

HS went to get hiking clothes for dad's recuperation. EJ was a step ahead.
Dad's wearing the baby blue # w/ a MAD HAWT GREY SUITED CJM/KH!!! *YESS*
Dad wanna meet w/ KH's dad, chat up on KH's future. He's happy to take care of him as a kid, but now KH needs a bigger pond. (AWWW) KH angst *swoon* stating his dad is so not DS. he'll take care of the talk, finished the nice fangirl goodness chat w/ asking DS to trust him no matter what. (moon is square, my love, if u say so). And it would have been some OTP shipping w/ KH picking up EJ for a meeting w/ J buyers but EJ <3 yeast.

boring science stuff: EJ wants to pasteurize the makgulli paste to make a finer, cost efficient product (killing off bad bugs...etc) Dad's skeptical, moved on to gloat , asking how he looks in her coat...just when HS walked in. HS let EJ know she went as well, to which EJ was quick to pick up the brewing catfight. HS slurped up and APW appa that unni belittled her in thinking she'll mind. Dad made peace w/ saying he's hurt as well w/ EJ just happen to fall over a coat and dump it on him.

I dun care for the J meeting other than ogling at CJM esp at him looking intensely at HS or a saucer. it's stereotype after stereotype zzzzzzz.
(more EJ <3ing yeast, unless u have a thing for MGY in labcoat, it's zzzzzzz)

THEN to wake us up, we have angsting angry oppa KH!! he's yelling at HS' OPWing the J ajusshis, to the point of whoring. it's not biz she's practicing here. (SO HAWT!!)

I have many prob w/ the subsequent car scene:
1. not buying KH's masochistic logic, ok to accept dinner invitation at obasan's home since her son's crushing on HS (KH: poor mom!) but all over her 'selling' herself, drinking w/ the ajusshi.
2. He's not looking at the ROAD.
3. and duh crash. (I mentally told u, dearKH!)
4. and duhduh KH is a better airbag than airbag and HS need an oppa knight in shining armor safe my damsel life hug (ok...if I was physically there in HS' shoes, I'll agree to that)
5. guy1xgirl 2 hug! 8 eps, no real OTP hugging AT ALL. blasphemy!
6. CJM is WAY Too hot in that scene. Seriously, we'll have to go Team HS now, writer shii?! poor girl, how can she not madlove him!? POOR HS! :(
7. HS u dummie, pull your act tog, gather your heart palps and tremblings and fake a CPR fr KH. Yes, I'll headdesk and spit blood more, but last I check, u r a girl, aren't u?!
8. I want to see scene of CJM in suit (or off) pushing that SUV, damn it!

VERY cute, but an overload of cheese, though I still like my cute cheese esp of young JW dancing. ( that BIG BLACK CAR w/ KH pouting inside10 ft fr them...come on, they didnt see it?! thought it's a grizzly?! grizzlies dun come THAT hot in a suit)

I did lol at Mom's reaction when she saw EJ....overhearing her secret phone calls w/ Jang ajusshi. Ej's analogy of her having numerous pots to house her hopes for Mom, but she kept shattering them 1 by 1 over the years and now there's only 1 left... and if that's shattered as well (cheat on DS), she'll really die, rot in hell for mom's sake, a better fate than living w/ her. *handing over my gut*

UBER fangirl scene of the ep: starring manly tutor KH teaching Japanese and showing a bit of skin (I'll take that)
sidenote: y do all hot guys have radars telling them fangirl is ogling at them?! Being a fangirl most my life, it's my biggest question of my life. (but that's upping their hotness, I know)

So....KH is cruel bastard to protect EJ? he sensed how he can still hurt her, but he has to do his business, and thus keep hurting her. So to put an end to her suffering, he lied.

emotionally I liked the scene, but I find it out of character for EJ to spill her guts. and KH.... dissatisfied w/ his speech is an understatement. You owe this poor girl 8 yrs damn it! (but CJM is even hotter in this scene.... *sigh*)

so it's back to boring yeast experiment. It failed. HS rubbed it in saying she put in effort to get new orders but now it's all poof. 'You wanted to be a hero, getting everything? u cant now'

Rest of ep was bleh to me... so EJ asked all the elders of the Gu clan and mustered some fund to restart factory operation ( KH also asked dad to loan him some big cash w/ helping out DS in mind)

Then all loving angelic dad brought a night cap for EJ....yet she still refused to call him 'dad' even when asked. O well, I dont even wanna think up an excuse for her now.

Mom and Jang ajusshi...blablablablabla. So they love each other, am I supposed to feel Mom is more human because of her ability to love an alcoholic bum?! or she's let out she's been saving up a substantial amt for EJ and is now giving a portion of it to Jang?! I DONT REALLY CARE.

I cherished every single words written above. my head is a bit more clear now about last two episodes, especially ep.8.

It's soooooooooooo tragic for a human being to feel like that (EJ) with so much pain, angers, doubts, mistrusts and so on, inside. It's a miracle she's alive. And I luv her step-dad. What a kind heart-ed angel he is. I have to watch them again, more than once for sure .

Jaejeng is doing a credible job considering it's his first J drama. I'm impressed. I highly recommend watching Sunaoni narenakute, of course, it's nothing like CU. But J dramas are so very different from K dramas. Different orientations or something. I recall Belleza once pinpointed that with accuracy somewhere on OT, sometime ago.

Yes, please, would love to know what you think of Hero, I've had it on my list of must-watchs forever.

Saying that, I also want to finish Hot Blood at some point, I've watched about half of it and actually really liked it. I find that and Hero to be ... not similar but of a similar genre - y'know, young ambitious guy trying to make something of himself.

Ep8 of PP was awesome! The stalker got stalked!
I spent the entire episode with fist in mouth trying to hold back my screams/excited squeals!
Sadly, episode 7 and 8 kinda had me falling for In-woo - not so much that I'd jump from my Yoonie's ship but their muffin-love relationship was really gaining momentum, they were too many tender moments to mention. They reminded me of an old married couple, when even though they're bickering you can't help but ''aaaww'' at how in-sync they are. I wish they'd had this connection for a bit longer before it all came crumbling down.
And oh! The embarrassment, if Hye-ri had any notion that Yoonie may be jealous - uh! Wrong again. Yoonie was in reality headdesking away.
Oh Hye-ri, you fool! That man by your side is Seo In-woo. THE Seo In-woo. Get thee away frometh him.

I still think it's too early for her to have asked him the golden question... ''Seo In-woo, who are you?'' It doesn't necessarily mean she'll get her answer straightaway but doesn't take a genius to smell a huge clash coming up.
Oh well, at least that crosses out one of my theories about In-woo being a phantom or something.

I love lift scenes, I've loved both of the ones in PP. The one where she's peeking admiring little glances at Yoonie and almost getting caught, and then the one in 8, where the doors roll open and In-woo's stood there looking like the smex with aviator sunnies (squeeee!). Love lift scenes! They're so important.

Man...that was a wicked look that Seo In-woo had in his eyes, eh? Of course, MHR was so surprised she couldn't close her eyes! LOL LOL....

Last night OBGYN airing here on Wed./Thur....it was the downs syndrome birthing. That one gets me....what it shows me is that couple are not gonna be fit parents for any kid! So I can still look forward to the stairwell kiss....the competitive singing of Wang and Lee....and of course, the Lee kiss that had me sighing! :-)
