Official posters for Cinderella’s Sister
by javabeans
A set of two posters are out for Cinderella’s Sister (although, if you’ve been following the recent updates, the images are nothing new given the constant slew of news about this drama).
The above features the four leads Moon Geun-young, Chun Jung-myung, Seo Woo, and Ok Taecyeon — and who else thought for a second that Seo Woo was Honey Lee?
The second poster (immediately below) is a familiar image of Moon as the rebellious stepsister character. The other stills below that are recently released photos that show some of the scenes in the drama’s early episodes. Cinderella’s Sister is a week from its March 31 premiere on KBS, to follow current blockbuster Chuno.

I totally thought Seo Woo looked like Honey Lee. I kinda did a double take on that image.
I'm not sure how I'm gonna feel about this drama. I really don't want it to be sad or overly emotional drama. I've been in a really light-hearted drama watching mood and I'd rather not be crying for a drama like the dork I am for a while.
I'll still tune in though because I love Chun Jung Myung and Moon Geun Young.

This drama is slowly turning me off more and more. I just don't like the direction it seems headed to.
I do like MGY a lot though, so I'll still tune into the first week's episodes and I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Ah, I love Seo Woo, but she looks so plastic here. Maybe it'll change when the drama airs. She's very breathtaking.

I keep laughing everytime I look at the second to last picture. It looks like Taecyeon is dancing and CJM is like, "Put em' up boy!" hehehe~ I know it's supposed to be them fighting but I think they could have picked a better picture...

the poster reminds me a lot of the promo poster for the movie with kim bum and kim byul...and actually, instead of reminding me of honey lee, seo woo kind of looks like kim byul with that haircut

I'm also getting slowly turned off to this drama as well. Like people say, I'm really in the mood for something light and happy. And that's a snow scene right? C'mon... it's Spring already!
I'm anticipating Javabeans will be recapping the series, so I'll be reading those to get a feel for the beginning before deciding whether I want to watch or not. But I really do like Moon Geun Young. It's quite amazing to see this person from a young age and growing up. I loved her in Painter of the Wind, and thought she was absolutely brilliant.
Can't wait for the recaps!!

How old is Seo Woo supposed to be in this? She looks so young in the pictures! It might just be the hair, though.
And it just occurred to me what Cinderella's Sister reminds me of: Donna Jo Napoli's fairy-tale-twist books, the ones that show "the other side" of all the fairy tale villains...a lot of authors do fairy tale twists, but DJN was the only one to make me bawl my eyes out.
Anyway, this question has probably been answered before, but is MGY going to be an actual villain, or just misunderstood? I was never really clear about that...
Thanks for sharing! =]

Oh, and another random comment:
I wonder if there's any significance to the fact that Taecyeon's in white and CJM's in black? I'm probably just reading too much into it (just finished up an English essay lol)

Yeah, I thought that was Honey Lee for a moment and I thought, "Wait a minute, Honey Lee isn't in this drama." I don't really know what to expect from this drama and am uncertain if the media and producers are making it a bigger deal than it should be. I guess they have to though since it's following a giant like Chuno.

The fighting poster, man that just makes me laugh each and everytime. Its like "Ok guys. We get the motif here. Black White. Good, Evil."
and its just funny how they are just loked infinately in that pose. haha!
AND DONT JUDGE THE DRAMA EVEN BEFORE ITS AIRED!
(just a p.s. there)

I dislike the poster as well. For Seo Woo being the "Cinderella" she sure is played up like a trampy step-sister.
The snow scenes of course are being shot now for the 3 years later.... (I'm joking, or am I just telling the truth.) I believe the white/black clothing probably have some symbolism/reasoning to it.

I actually like the poster and find it quite nostalgic. It reminds me of classic k-drama posters. This seems like a "Wicked" kind of plot where we see why the evil are evil.

The last two photos made me laugh. Are they supposed to be fighting? Because that's a bad shot right there. The second to the last photo especially looks like they're dancing.

Not only does Seo Woo look like Honey Lee but Taecyeon looks a little Kim Bum (the haircut and the suggestion of a dimple).
Despite MGY and CJM being in this I have not been terribly excited by the story though I would love it if I start hearing good things after it airs. I think I'm anticipating IRIS2 the most.

@ #4 Rainey,
How do you not like the direction it's heading when it hasn't officially aired yet? Isn't a little too early to pass judgement? Also, I hope people are aware that this will be a more darker and serious role for Moon Geun Young. Different from her previous characters in the past and also, this will likely have a dramatic-theme to it.

I'm waiting until official airing, but it does have a little bit of a more angsty?, less everything is cherry pie?, moody? feel to it which I am not entire against. everything has been pretty peppy so far that I have been watching (WUAS, pasta) so moody might be good.
or maybe its was just the knocking on heavens door usage in the trailer? (which I highly approve off)

Yes, it is rather early to pass judgement. At least I'm not totally dismissing it, I still plan to check it out. I have the same issue with Oh, My Lady the 9 minute trailer managed to lose all my interest. I still plan to watch both though, hoping to be wrong. It has happened many times before.

LOLOLLLL @ the 2nd last photo. I haven't laughed this hard in a while, and the sad thing is that I don't think they were going for 'funny' with that scene. My first thought was, "...Did they get this drama mixed up with a wuxia?"
And I'd have to agree with everyone else who has pointed out that the poster is terrible. Those are total beginner blending skills right there, and the designer didn't even bother try and fix the lighting so all 4 photos meld together. Ah, well. Moon Geun Young looks beautiful (and remarkably like Chae Jung Ahn), and Taecyeon looks cute, but that's about all I like.
Either way, I think I'd be more interested if they stopped releasing photos and posters and started releasing some more information about the cast.

wow Seo Woo does look like Honey Lee in this! Amazing what hair, makeup, and weight loss can do. and the angle of the picture. she looks nothing like the other Cinderella's Sister photos of her.
why are the two male leads fighting in the mountains?!

I don't understand why so many are against this drama for being angsty. What's wrong with a good ol' angsty romance drama? So long as it's not full of histrionics, I think the serious tone of Cinderella's Sister will be quite refreshing. There has been plenty of light-hearted dramas as of late: Pasta, Wish Upon a Star, The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry, You're Beautiful and not to mention other upcoming rom-com, Oh My Lady, Personal Taste and Prosecutor Princess. I'm ready for something a little different . . . a la Que Sera Sera.

HAHA, I was thinking the same thing! White Knight vs. Black Knight in the MOUNTAINS!!! Looks like the Chuno bug's bitten someone pretty hard... and I've written way too many English essays myself, was wondering about the "significance" about black and white.
Somehow I can't figure out this drama. If it's melo, what's with all the "action" scenes?

LOL Seo Woo does look like Honey Lee at certain angle in the official poster. I think they could have done better with the poster though. I am not in a hurry to watch this drama. At the moment, I am more anxious to see Personal Taste. Here is a second teaser with Eng sub:

The last two pictures are just hilarious. What was the director thinking when taking them and why do they keep promoting their drama with those pictures?
Those of you who say you're more and more turned off about this drama because of the angst factor obviously haven't been paying attention to those of us who have been saying all along that this drama will definitely be a heavy melodrama based on the fact that all of the writer's previous works have been melodramatic. Or they have been ignoring all the cues from the atmosphere of the stills that have come out and were blindly hoping it will somehow turn out to be a light-hearted romantic comedy and now they're upset because it's not what they want it to be. Don't be so upset though, you still have Personal Taste (and I'm watching both!!! :))
I normally do not watch melodramas. I hated WISFC.. but I'm definitely watching this one mainly due to the cast and because Kim Kyu-wan (writer of this drama) is better than Lee Kyung-hee (writer of WISFC) in my book (I feel Kim Kyu-wan is less far-fetched than Lee Kyung-hee in developing the stories).
