omg that's terrible!! What the family must be going through...I feel awful for the two children and the grandmother...both her children committed suicide and now she must take care of her grandchildren on her own....:(! Goodness at her age she should have time to be content...

this whole family :( i can't imagine what kind of pain these children are going to endure for the next few years. and the mother... blah, this is just so sad all around.

I definitely feel for those two kids, left without a mother, deadbeat dad, their only real father-figure gone now, too; but man, I feel almost worse for their grandmother. Losing not one but two children to suicide? (Does she have any other kids?) And then having the burden of raising two small children with all the issues their bound to have after the last year and a half? What a heartbreaking time for this family.

Their poor, poor mother....I can't imagine what it's like for her to have her children die before her...and the mother had to be the one who found his body :( May God give her strength.

I hope the Choi siblings finally find peace.

Rest In Peace Choi Jin-young, but in fact, poor two Choi Jin Sil's kids and their grandmother, finally she already died two times with her daughter and her son. Wish God give her and her grandchildren the strength to overcome this hardest time. It's really shocking everyone who love Korean Drama and Choi Jin Sil's family.

I hope God will show mercy towards the 2 siblings for choosing to take their own lives; I hope they are given mercy to rest in peace w/ Him, that their goodness in earth are enough to outbalance the sin of ending one's own life.I feel bad for the people who has to endure great tragedies and difficulties b/c they must overcome them & that's a big struggle, as we are mere humans. This makes me very sad.once again I do hope they do find rest & also strength to the ones who were left behind & still living.the living still has a chance,great or small.I don't know who to mourn more for in this one, the living or the dead.

TThe netizens involved in these deaths should do a double take on themselves.they have time to change before its too late. Depression is a silent killer. People can't always tell unless the person him/herself reaches out for help. Nothing is worse than feeling that you have no will left to live. This is very sad. I can't imagine how the poor children will be able to go through this very hard time. I pray hard that time will heal the wounds eventually. Hopefully this will be the last tragedy in the family. RIP CJY and my condolences to the ones left behind.

Having lost a loved one to suicide, I always get so angry when people have the nerve to criticize/bad talk the deceased.

Are you kidding me? Do you have any idea how greatly a person must suffer for them to resort to taking their own life? Suicide isn’t something trivial: it’s the most drastic measure a person can take in order to end whatever suffering they’re going through. Imagine how horrible life must be for you to want to end it. When a person sinks into such a deep state of depression that robs them of any joy in life they are unable to think about anything else. They’ve really come to the end of the road and cannot turn back.

Having suffered from mild depression myself, I can tell you that it is the most damning feeling. The thought of killing oneself does come to mind often, intentional or not. It’s like a disease that feels incurable. I managed to pull through, but I can easily imagine how people who experience serious and prolongued depression succumb to it.

Choi Jin Young, you must have been through a lot of pain and grief to bring it all to an end. Hopefully now you’re with your sister. RIP, the both of you <3

this is incredibly sad for the choi family and their friends. the poor kids, i can't imagine what they must be going through - first losing their mother and now their uncle. really hope there will be someone out there who can help the family through in these difficult times.

Oh man...this brings back all the sadness of 2008 again. This is such a big loss, to the children..the entire family. I'm especially worried about the two children, both now and the future--what a heavy burden to have to overcome!

All I can think about is his poor mother. To lose both her children within 2 years both by suicide is something unbearable. I feel really bad for these kids to be in such an unstable situation. Experiencing death like this at their young age is a trauma no kid should bear. My heart just goes out to them and to their grandmother.

Let's hope there won't be anymore similar news in 2010. My prayers go out to his loved ones, and to the mom and her 2 precious kids.

HOLY SHIT. the person I feel the most for, is his mother. Honestly, she found BOTH her children dead, one after another- from committing suicide. How much pain would she have in her heart, knowing that she raised these two children to let them both kill themselves from depression eventually? :((
