@ aceyyy and lb_tmi: You guys try living in the UK or Down Under and having download limits!!! I'm connnnstantly fretting about my download limit and whether to d/l or watch streaming and painstakingly searching for MQ downloads WHY isn't there a market for MQ? I'm starting to resent you Americans, even licensed decent quality streaming with subs is reserved only for you people. fkjhdhjkhkkjgf Even viikii's going there now DAMN YOU VIIKII. *grumbles*
@ reluctantbutaddicted: heh, I used to do that with books, skim through the last few pages but ONLY to catch a glimpse. I like having sooooome idea but I hate being spoiled for important things that lose impact when I watch them (Dumbledore's death!!!!!!!!!!! ldfhkldhhdfkjNEVERGETTINGOVERTHAT), so with dramas I usually watch drama mvs beforehand and then get excited over things without knowing the context so it still surprises me and I get excited if I spot something that looks like that scene I maybe spotted. Of course, it comes with risks, I watched an mv for Tree of Heaven and it spoilt the ending!!!!!! 'Course, I watched it anyway. For Lee Wan, a girl's gotta do. Has anyone around here claimed Lee Wan btw? Because in that case *tags Lee Wan* MINE!

You're very welcome! Yeah, the first backup is slow, but after that it does it in increments, so it's faster.
Where did you see ep 4 of Perfect Girl Evolution? I just saw ep 3 the other day. ::checks brain at door, prepares to giggle::

I am totally following wayy too many dramas at the same time: Wish Upon A Star, Chuno (still need to catch up on that... working on it!!), Woman Who Still Wants To Marry, and the new daily drama with Kim Soeun (A Good Day for the Wind to Blow or something like that)... This is not including the Japanese dramas I'm following: Perfect Girl Evolution, Bloody Monday 2, Naka nai to Kimeta Hi... This can't be very good for me, especially since the new semester has started, and things haven't even gotten really busy yet!!
I'm loving all of the Korean dramas I'm following right now - 2010 is already such a great year with all of these so-far great dramas (I just hope none of them die somewhere in the end and completely disappoint). Already jumped ship to Team Kangha - oh so so so funny. LOL. That drama is unbelievably adorable. Woman Who Still Wants To Marry has a really nice tone for it. Chuno = amazing on so many different dimensions. The daily drama... it's okay, but followable. I think the entire time I just fangirl about Lee Hyunjin's adorable-ness. He is so SO adorable (and deserves a new girlfriend than his ex who obviously doesn't see his adorable-ness).
As for J-dramas... I think Perfect Girl Evolution has really surprised me. I was thinking something that was more mind crack nothing more... but I think there is some great chemistry between the Kouhei and Sunako. More on Kouhei's side (things are difficult to tell from Sunako's side). So aside from the silliness of the drama (which I enjoy, don't get me wrong) and the hilarity of everything... I am really really liking Perfect Girl Evolution. Bloody Monday 2 is intense as always. As for Naka Nai to Kimeta hi... is anybody else watching that? Is anyone else disturbed by that one super manipulative girl?
The thing about Naka nai to Kimeta hi is that, personally, I don't even like the protagonist, Eikura Nana's character that much. I'm bothered about her super naive nature and her aloofness/obliviousness to things. People like that don't do well in real life, but the situation that Eikura Nana's character subject to is just... crazy. I haven't really worked in the real world before, but I hope that's not how things are. That's a scary society. (Also, that girl who is Nana's "friend" who is super manipulative... I hope I never know someone like that...)

PGE IS SO AWESOME RIGHT? I mean, it's so brilliantly wacked out and so absurd! But then they throw in all these brilliant OTP moments and I lose my head over the awesome. <3
Last Q before I head off for a while: techie question, with RSS feeds, is it possible to get a feed that tells you every time a single page is updated/changed?

Happy Friday everyone.
Time goes so fast, next week I will have my last exam. Kinda sad, although I'm also very happy, because that means: no more exams for a certain time. But I will miss my uni time, although I still have to write something next semester but it feels sooooo strange. Guess real life begins, huh?
Anyway, despite my nonstop learning, I still managed to watch The Woman who still want to marry, and I looooove it. Funny and touching!

@xiahkixiri - i'm actually totally with you! living in france now, and frankly the download speeds are PATHETIC, to the extent that i don't think there's a point buying premium membership on filehosting sites (and then there's the question of which one to choose?). sometimes i go to school to download because it's much faster there but still... i think i may be over-blowing Korea as this promised land, but I hear internet there is ridonkulously fast, and service is excellent, which is yet another reason i'm looking forward to it - but what am i talking about - i'll be at the holy drama land! =D dyou think a student could afford one of those timey-recordey machiney things as her one luxury? (i'm assuming i gotta go to class and have a life, even if i don't have to sleep... besides, the fastforward button will be there) whee~
the sad thing is... my computer can't even deal with super HQ (800-900mb) versions, so i have to squish them through windows movie maker and watch it from there, subs on the side? -is pathetic- the chinese dramas/subbers have got the right idea with ~300mb file sizes!

This is the best site for all J drama site at this moment as they get shut down and so on without any advance notices. Don't know if you read Japanese a little? If not scholl down a bit till you see
「ヤマトナデシコ七変化 第4話」の視聴
try with all the Pandra 1-5 options(if there are other options, try that one first as well as Pandora has become really popular). I usually start with #5 or whatever is at the bottom and work my way up and don't close the link too soon as it might take a minutes a two. Then wonder around, post a comment at DB and suddenly you can hear the audio and the drama is on.

Spent the hour before lunch searching airlines for the best price/flight times from SoCal to DC... and then went to lunch... and i came back to a whole bunch of new posts. sigh.
But at least i got my tickets to DC!!! I've been wanting to go for awhile now, especially since one of my good friends moved out there and I have not seen her in quite a bit. So I'm quitting my job a day earlier than originally anticipated so that I could get a cheaper red-eye out there (ha!). We're also heading out to NY for the weekend... I have been craving SoHo Cafe Habana's Mexican Corn.. it's to die for. I tried to replicate it at home and it's..... just not the same. can't wait!!
@ twin
twin telepathy waves via previously discussed video were so strong by description alone, that i could not function. which is why i took an hour buying flight tickets. i actually considered going home early cuz i "wasn't feeling well" so that i could watch said video.
Re: currently airing dramas. i'm so bad. i have not been following anything... just AC which ends in 2 weeks. i know i need to pick up Chuno and apparently WUAS and WISFC... and there's still a bunch of 2009 ones i want to watch (SOAM in particular)... i feel so outta the loop as everyone discusses Go Soo's shower scenes and QSD's birth secrets/twists... sighs. why am i so lazy. i need to start up on IRIS again as well... !!!!! so behind!!! *sadness*

Love Marriage - cute and fun drama with lots of great kissing and romance (as well as great choco-abs shots of Kim Ji Hoon - yum!)
@ xiahkixiri
re: Chuno watching
my watching experience matches Samsooki's, except that you have to subtract the instance of watching with spouse (because my hubby doesn't watch kdramas), but you also have to add the first time of waking up pre-dawn to watch the episode via live streaming while it's airing in Korea, as well as one round for making screencaps. ;)
There a lot of Chunojummas and Chunoholics camped out in the soompi thread who watch the RAWS first (without understanding Korean), so you certainly wouldn't be alone. :D

I see there are quite a few Perfect Girl Evolution fans :O
I started watching the drama... but my feelings for it are 50/50. What's with the little boy!? He's adorable, but so not from the original manga. It changes the whole relationship with Sunako and her aunt... The close bond that the Aunt has for Sunako (as she doesn't have children and considers Sunako as her own daughter) feels a bit gone. Yes, the boy is adorable. However he was unnecessary.
I was also expecting more nosebleeds.. but that didn't happen (which is not a big deal). Somehow Sunako just comes off overly creepy-ish in the drama, but not as strong, innocent, and sincere in the manga. In the manga, she seemed so innocent that as much as she "looked" scary, she was so cute in her love for horror, trying her best to please others, etc (It may be because she was drawn chibi-style in the manga most of the time). Especially when Kamenashi calls Sunako "Ugly Sunako", she looks likes she's possessed. *not happy*
I hope in future episodes, we get to see the natural athletic and competitive Sunako, without having to see her be called "Ugly Sunako" first :/
So in comparison to the original story, I'm pretty dissatisfied. It may be because I'm a loyal fan of the original, so it's just disappointing to see so many elements changed. The drama is still entertaining and highly addictive.

@ aceyyy: Oh God that's HORRIBLE, I shudder at the thought of watching dramas like that. Invest in a new computer!!! That windows movie maker thing is horrendous wat. :( for you. Yep, Korea has apparently the fastest broadband speed in the world! Along with the highest rate of porn consumption, lolol. Good ol' Korea, dramaland indeed. Those little preteens even watch/download dramas on their phones!! I AM JEALOUS OF CHILDREN.
So I lied about going off. I'm doing uni work along with obsessively refreshing WITHS2's sub stats page and hoping I'll get another 2 eps of WUAS. Who knew this show would turn out so good?! On ep 6, at this point really can't fathom people being on team kang ha, as commenters on ep 10 have promised. Hell, I can't even fathom there BEING a team kang ha!! Really, when Jaeyoung was like 'I love him' in the earlier eps I loled and loled because it's like saying 'I love my wall'. <3
@ hjkomo: Woah, holy dedication. I don't think I could do that, with dodgy quality live streaming, prone to lagging and needing about 15 hours of sleep for my brain to be alive. You guys are awesome and some day, when I'm an ahjumma and my Korean is good enough, I will join you!

TGIF everyone...
@CNY in HKG...it's still considered a big deal there. Just came back and noticed a lot of stores/businesses posting days off (the day before and for some ,3 days after). Weather was quite nice for me while I was there (til the 31st of Jan)- about 18 to 22C. At least for me, I didn't need a heavy jackets unlike the rest of the HKG'rs( they were bundling up to here). A lot of people commented to me if I was from Hawaii, and why I was not freezing . They are on "guarded" alert for H1N1 so you will see a lot of people wearing surgical masks(supermarkets even offered Purell like hand sanitizers for patrons to use). Most public places( MTR stations, etc ) even post how often they "disinfect"( using the same cloth, so questionable in term of effectiveness)- usually every hour.
Good luck in booking a flight . We are trying to book one for my Mom to return to the Bay Area and even the first class is booked( Mom is on waiting list for business class since we don't want her to be squished for the 11 hours of journey).
@Samsooki
I think you are DEFINITELY showing signs of lack of sleep, my friend. Just bite the bullet and ask for a replacement. Who cares what the parking attendant think about you(.He has so many customer that he might not even recognize you). He's not the one who have to fork out the $95 for a new one. Now, if he cites that you have "abused" the replacement priviliges and demands you to buy a new one, then do so. Until then, try to get a replacement. ( I'm looking out for my Ji Hoonie; Daddy needs to save all the $$ for the baby's Harvard College funds;)

personally I think it's the best time to be in HK @CNY because IF u decide to take in the downtown by yourself sans a bit of the crowd u have the option of that day to do so. :)
Also there's usu after new year sales for clothes!! (coz it's tradition for everybody to have brand new outfit ...even undies for the new yr)
if u really wanna get into the spirit (and the crowd) u can go to the big buddha, where it's a tradition to have a vegetarian meal (need booking in advance) on new year's day. There's also a short inspiring hike closeby where u can savor another side of HK (there r huge pillars with Heart Sutra carved) http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/6343/p1000803wa.jpg

Hey, twin telepathy appears in full force today with us, too! I was just about to sniggle to you that I just got DVDs of Storm Warriors and The Bodyguard. Hohoho, I feel an Aaron Kwok love-fest coming, he's aging very well.....
Sigh, my last trip to Asia was 3 years ago (coincidentally, I arrived the evening of Lunar New Year eve, everything was dead silent, and Taipei was a veritable ghost town, and I stayed for a night and hurried down south to my parents), I used to go at least once year, until the kids came and the boy DID NOT do well traveling to Asia, to put it milding after ER stay there.
We'll probably go back at the end of the year, TW and HK, as usual. I always camp out at the Mandarin Oriental in Central, it's my go-to hotel for years, even after *sob* Leslie.... I'll let y'all know my travel in case anyone can meet up.
And since ArJoe aint making any new dramas together (yet) in the near future, my second fave TW-couple Joe Chen and Ming Dao have another drama together that I scored today at the DVD store as well, something like Saving the Sunshine whatever. I saw their faces and just grabbed it. Certain pairings save even the most mediocre of dramas (hack, hack, ISWAK 2).

o gosh I was going to grab u somewhere and bug u with Taipei (I've never been to TW)! I'm thinking of going there for a day or 2 just for food! lolz I may not be able to squeeze it in I have planned 2 china trips already....
o!! maybe we'll meet in HK then, I'm going back end of yr for a wedding as well.
Storm Warriors... lol .... is only good for one thing... ogling at Aaron Kwok's body...nth else.
Bodyguard, I think u'll have a THRILL with it. I forgot if u have seen and liked Sherlock Holmes.. I did and heck with historical accuracies.. it's a great ride of kung fu.
Actually .... dont disown me... I like ISWAK 2 with plenty of ffing.. yes the writing is going around in boring circles. But I saw my fav characters going at it and grow... they r 'family' for me.

I am completely caught up on Don't Hesitate...finally. This is my first daily drama and I like it a lot, but I kinda wish it was shorter (rather more compact) and that the evil mother in the drama would die a painful death...well her and the evil wife. Hopefully, they don't break up the main couple before the end of the drama; that would totally ruin things for me.
So did anyone else hear that Pasta was given an extension? I don't know if it's true or not. Not that it matters for me, since I haven't been able to get into it, but it's still news I guess...

@xiahkixiri welll..... my old computer (with a cd drive and all) is kind of dead, which i s why i'm using my netbook as my permanent computer - i don't find it all that bad actually, and if i revived my old computer it'd probably be relegated to the role of the "computer for watching stuff". if i went all the way with wmm to convert them into smaller .wmv's i'd be able to use the subs, but as it is, i make do, haha. i guess i should really get my laptop fixed, but i have no time.... lol i'm glad to have the constantly-refreshed OT for companionship as a student's work doesn't end on friday (saaaad but on the other hand, i don't have to be responsible enough to sleep before 5am either i guess) - an alerts system would've been nice tho =p
oh man i've been following with WUAS recaps (i don't have time to watch drama esp with the loading times so this is a sad substitute) and i so so so want to start watching (and by extension, maybe Love and Marriage as well? though i think his character seems too sensitive mr nice guy from the 1st ep description - has anyone watched it? does he have enough of an edge to be worth watching?) but i have no time!!! and i think i'd die trying to get to the more recent episodes... should i just bite the bullet and work backwards from where we are??
@ockoala ooooh i cringed through ISWAK 1 but grew to love esp the latter half of ISWAK 2 - what is it that Joe Chen and Ming Dao are in together again? would watch a drama just for them, i thought Ying Ye 3+1 was GREAT - the "comrades in arms" is my favourite couple dynamic. aaaaah i want to go to taiwan~

Ooooh, you show me your HK and I'll show you my TW, though I'm a mid-centraler (i.e. I'm from Taichung, so Taipei is still kinda like visiting for me). But still, I can pretend to be a local so easily.
ISWAK2, I ff'd so much that I nearly broke the remote, but "I saw my fav characters going at it " - do you mean all that making out, tongue-kissing ArJoe was doing every other episode? If so, then yes, they were going at it and I loved every second of *that*. Everything else was meh for me.
Did you see my rant against Fox Volant late late last night in the last OT. I almost broke my remote control with the ff-ing there.

@ockoala, haha no, it's not so much a couple nickname as the fact that i like it when couples are brought to stand on an equal footing with each other. i don't really like storylines where the spunky cinderella girl melts the prince's icy heart and they get together, because and then so what? i feel the gap remains too wide. this is why i can be very very very forgiving of weak plots (cases in point: ying ye, iswak 2), because characterisation is what makes a drama for me, and when i find one in which the two manage to grow to be equals (city haaalllll; also why i love iswak 2 so much more than the first) i am not above ff-ing any "minor" problems in plot (this can be extended to mean.... any scene without the characters lol)
but i'm glad to hear they're doing another drama together yayayyayay =D something for me to watch^^

"doing ISWAK 3 and starring loverboy and shishi, do we really need deep plot?! lol"
OH! Nose-bleed. Cheeks burning, must get my LoCH back so I can rewatch episode 42 right now!!!
Plot, not only do we not need plot, we don't need any other characters, ever! Like, give me a drama with 16 episodes of them two walking around, making out, joking with each other, going on dates, doing the OPW-DPW with each other, you know, all the good stuff, and I swear I will have nothing to complain about, ever again.
As for Foxy, sigh, I was really in the mood for wuxia last night (after finishing Chuno episode 10 - gah, so good, I was starting to really stagnate with that drama and episode 10 was like an epi-shot) and so I popped it in. I think I watched 12 episodes in less than 1 hour, no joke, stopping only to watch the nth farewell scene or the nth pining after each other scene, like I told you.
And shit, this drama is like one looooooong make out session then the girl goes, oops, sorry, I have to run now, and oh, btw, sorry to leave you in this "state of being" poor guy, but I took a vow of chastity. SUCH A TEASE!!! All the romantic longing and no release, it was painful, I needed to go watch k-drama makeout sessions to relieve the tension. Anyways, now that Zhi-yi is gone and Ling-su is dead, no reason to even watch, I hate Ruo-lan and can't stand Ady in this role. Don't worry, it's going in the dumpster later today so I don't accidentally rewatch it.
Oh, and I read this in the news today, Zhang Ji-zhong went on record as saying he's ready to make a 3D version of Journey to the West on the big screen. My head already hurts.

There was no way I could resist watching Perfect Girl Evolution, since I've been reading the manga for years and even watch the whole anime series. It's sort of like I'm getting back to my roots, because it was the live-action adaptation of Hana Kimi that got me started watching Asian dramas in the first place. I started with Japanese dramas, with a few Taiwanese dramas mixed in for good measure, moved onto Korean dramas, stumbled across this blog and the rest is history!
I was actually convinced the live action version was going to be a train wreak, mostly because they added the little boy. Felt very Cousin Oliver to me. But I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Kyohei is great, but I already knew I liked the actor from Nobuta no Produce, so that comes as no surprise. Sunako is different from the manga, but I can live with that. She's softer, more tentative and easily hurt in the drama and her cousin brings out her maternal side. In the manga, she just doesn't care about what people think and just does what makes her happy. And skulls and horror films and all things goth just happen to make her happy!

Classes were canceled b/c of tentative snow...but there was no snow...just sleet then rain and now more sleet. ::sigh:: I'm ready for spring!
I started PGE last week, but my computer was giving me trouble with the streaming so I might have to d/l instead. I liked the first episode, and I kind of hope it reaches somewhat of a conclusion (as in the relationship b/t Sunako and Kouhei) by the end of the series but that might be too much to hope for. I will say that the cast is doing a decent job and it is mindless fun.
I'm behind watching Chuno (I have only seen up to episode 8 ) but episode 9 is currently downloading, so hopefully I'll be caught up soon. Assorted Gems last weekend was AWESOME! Episode 44 was wonderfully written and the actress that plays Kkeut-soon did a fantastic job...I wasn't a fan of her character at all, but her acting just left in me in awe.
@hjkomo (from last week's OT)
Thanks for the link! I would do 720p but I'm not sure how to re-time the subs for that version.
@cingdoc
Welcome back! Hope your mom is doing well
By the way, I was reading last week's OT but didn't get a chance to comment, but I enjoyed reading all the computer/tech comments!

Hello all, I don't post on OT too often but I felt an urge so I followed it.
How many people here have watched "What's Up Fox"? I watched the drama in preparation for "Cinderella's Sister" and well, I fell in love with Chun Jung Myung. How can a thirty year old man be this cute? It doesn't seem fair. Anyone else love that show? I'm thinking of moving on to "Goodbye Solo" next.
Also, for those of you out there watching "Pasta" (love it!) have you noticed that Choi Hyun Wook (Lee Seon Gyun's character) has been wearing purple pants? The first time I noticed it, it was maybe episode 4 or 5, I had to rewind back to make sure I was really seeing what I thought I was. I mean, Lee Seon Gyun is a little old for purple pants isn't he? He looks like he could be hosting a CBC children's show or preparing to be the next Mr. Dressup. Though I am horrified by the purple pants, I must also admit that I am also strangely attracted to them. You have to give a guy points for being ballsy enough to don a pair of purple pants, right?

I'm watching Family Honor (3 eppies down, 51 to go) and my head is just spinning because of the ages of the family members, five generations in all!
If the info on koreanwiz is accurate, then everyone got wedded in their teens? Otherwise how do you explain the 20-year age difference between granddad (70 years old) and his son (50) and twin grandsons (30) and great-grandson (10)? Was the great-great-granddad 90 when he passed away?
http://www.koreanwiz.org/at/drama-familyofhonor.html
Great-great-granddad's cranky and perpetually drunk daughter (the one that everyone calls "Grandma") is only 40 years old?!
Female lead Dan-ah (Yoon Jung-hee) is also 30, meaning she's one of triplets? (Her brothers are both 30.) And her suitor (Lee Hyun-jin) is only 20?
How long has the older twin been married? According to my subs, he's been with his wife (arranged marriage?) 17 years, but he's only 30 now, meaning they got hitched when he was 13? Good grief!
To make it all even more surreal, the granddad's gf (Young-in) is now preggie, but she says she's 50 years old. *faint*
Someone who can't count to save her life might give up the drama soon if she can't get a handle on how old everyone is really supposed to be. Soompi doesn't have that info. Helen, HELP!!

Before I forget, again...Happy Birthday to the Feb Birthday's folks
@update for Mom
First of all, thank you all for the warm wishes.
Talked with my sister last nite, I guess Mom is doing well. She's practically off her meds(Morphine Sulfate and Lyrica). She is doing physical therapy 3x per week, but the true indication that she's recovering- she went shopping!!
Good for you, Mom. ( Shopping is always the best Rx , esp for us girls ;)
@Samsooki
Sorry to hear about your ordeal ...quoting from one of Mel Gibson's Lethal Weapon where Leo Getz says" Don't go to the drive thru, they always sc*** you"...I'm truly sorry, my friend. ( BTW, where WAS this parking monthly pass that it fell to its demise (the door/window abyss)? Was it not a sticker on your windshield?

I was just watching some good ol' Kdrama mvs and I have to ask
WHAT IS UP WITH THE KDRAMA HUG SHOULDER PAT???!!!
Like honestly, if you're in love with someone and you're hugging them, you hold onto them(learn from Pal gang!) you don't give them a pat on the shoulder. THat's what you do to a friend. Actually, Cosmo had an article about decoding hugs and the shoulder pat hug was a Stuck in the friendzone hug. So yeah, someone should really let those actors know how to hug (and to kiss. Geez... take some lessons from some twdramas folks!)

@136,
The car I was driving today was a loaner car from the dealership, because my car that i bought last month needed to have bluetooth and a few other things installed. I had to take the parking pass out of the sleeve in my car, and jam it into the driver side window of the loaner car for a few days.
I picked up my car tonight, but i needed to get the parking pass out of the loaner car before returning it...

Happy Friday! (Well, to most of you. Me, it's Saturday already, and I've already had breakfast and run the dog.)
Back to the land of the living, i.e., internet access. And picking up from last OT...
@ Yamapi / Tomohisa Yamashita
"Non-invasive" - Yes, that's a very perceptive description. While I think he's GORGEOUS, I've always regarded him as being somehow asexual.
"Butterscotch stallion" - Yes. Ahem. Quite. Just so. ;-)
Intro to Yamapi - Kurosagi was his vehicle for his launch as major male idol, as he plays a tortured hero (not another!). One may or may not find this convincing. (Though, without question, in all his various guises he is gorgeous.) Personally, I found his turn in Nobuta so Produce most charming, as it let him give full expression to his inner goof-ball.
****
On another note:-- OK, I give up. I am going to get on the WUAS bandwagon. Sigh. So little time, so much to watch.

Aigoo...I don't remember their ages, but Dan Ah (somewhere around 30) is younger than her twin brothers. Oldest brother married in his late teens, I think? Great-aunt (Grandpa's younger sister) is actually younger than Dan Ah's father, who's somewhere in his 50's. His new wife is in her late 40's, I think. I don't remember how old Grandpa was, but Great-grandpa was FREAKING OLD! haha
Sorry, that probably didn't help much. ;)

"Well, first, when i watch alone, i don’t just watch. I fast forward, I go backwards, I skip around (a LOT). I do this with all of the dramas that I watch. I don’t watch linearly except when my wife and I are watching together because she bops me on the head if I touch the remote or the mouse."
You skip around during your first run-through?! O_O
Good that Mrs. Samsooki bops you on the head...cuz that's just crayee-gee. (you -> michinnom) :P

Ajumma! Are You Krazy??? directed by Brent Anbe (U S A/Korea, Short, 26 mins, World Premiere, 2009) AJUMMA! Are You Krazy? is a zany comedy that follows the misadventures of three Korean drama fanatics, Judy (Thea Matsuda), Susan (Tessie Magaoay), and Amy (Cari Mizumoto) as they try to meet their favorite Korean super star, Michael Park (Michael Hsia) as he visits Hawaii to shoot his music video. Hawaii’s First Kim Chee Comedy!

Hmm....now someone just needs to make a mockumentary about the ICOMYM Club...keke ;)

After 3 weeks of holding my tongue in check and my excitement tamped down...since I just started working for the company...I finally had a chance to ask the Korean lady in my group if she watched any kdramas. Aw man, I was so disappointed when she said she didn't, not after she moved away from her mom's house. But...she did say she recently watched the jdrama HYD and enjoyed it's corniness and goofiness. OMG, I am so going to shove my YAB dvd at her when I get it. Maybe I can convert her, too.
I'm sorely disappointed. I finally have Asian coworkers and neither one of them watches Asian dramas. :(

the ones uploaded by Ethlenn are good, and have BLAZING FAST download speeds. i'm talkin 1~2 mB per second here. so the whole episode finishes downloading in about 5 minutes! and she uploads them the day after they air, so that's nice too :)

Don't worry, I still hate shopping. My Mom often declares that I'm not her offspring since she's the Queen of shopping. For my HKG's trip, I only bought 3 pieces of clothing for myself, the rest of the suitcase was for the girls. Besides, you do know that even this doctor prescribes the above therapy, I never use it ( Doctors are the worst patients).
@Samsooki

It pains me to say this cos I really like Horikita Maki and the chemistry she has with Yamapi, but skip Kurosagi (or, if you watch it, skip -for the love of God- the special. I am still in denial) and watch Buzzer Beat instead. My 2 favorite Pi dramas are Nobuta wo Produce and Buzzer beat. Great story, decent acting, great characters. Also, if you ask me? BB has a bit of a k-drama flavor to it.

Oh man the Kurosagi special was so bad....I'm still mad about it! It's like they didn't even care to make it connect with how the series ended! And even the production values were pretty bad as well...so so painful to get through. Kurosagi isn't Yampi's best work imo, but it's the first drama of his that I enjoyed watching it especially since him and Maki had good chemistry.
And I totally agree with you! BB and NwP are his best doramas (though at least for the former, the actresses were much better than their male counterparts imo).
By the way JB, great song as usual! It's been awhile since I've listened to Neko Case.
