re: puma noona - it's all the rage. i am all for it :)
@ A.
seeing as how my twin was so generous in her sharing of ang ang with hpn88, i am inclined to do the same and allow a Taeyang timeshare with you :) After all, you and i seem to share some similar tastes and since I already gave away daesung, it won't hurt to part with a bit of Taeyang. Just as long as people stop trying to steal TOP away, I will be ok. Bidding for timeshare of TOP has long been closed and that hard-earned 5% already went to my twin. The rest of him is ALL MINE!! :) :) :)

@ notoriousnoona 88... I'm not disappointed at all. We are different in a lot of the things that we watch but shockingly we are on the same page with Swallow. I hate Soo Hyun and Tae Hyuk. What does anybody else think of Soo Hyun? If there is a dude who is or has seen the show I would like ur input as well. I do not trust her but what does the dude perspective think?
Anyway, I was wondering was anyone watching hero. I saw the first 3 eps and I want to know is it going to maintain it's "light- heart feel" or am I going to want to break down like Mariah Carey and cry. I like Lee Jun Ki, but I will pull the plug if it becomes a mess.

@114 coco - ICOMYM is certainly allowed!! I'm staying away from the kids fighting over the k-pop boys, though.
@126 kdxmel - as much as I like watching and listening to SHINee - those boys are so young that I just want to feed them a good meal and let them date my nieces. The exception to that in the boy band arena is TOP. Him, I wouldn't let near my nieces, because that voice, that look - nah - even the nicest of nieces would fall for that.

@136 lb_tmi
Keep in mind I'm only on ep 5, but I'm a history nerd so its fascinating for me. In general, I'm liking what I see on the drama front. I think the set up takes a bit, but now i think that it has settled. And with what happens historically (according to my very recent understanding of korean history) it should get really interesting.
so if you like more intense or gritty (i couldn't think of a better adjective), go for it.
@122 skelly
correction...the good ones are currently taken. Dramaland and especially kpopland always has new jailbait and sometimes non-jailbait coming

OH. MY. GOODNESS.
C.N.BLUE. You know, as reference, I have already claimed Jung Yonghwa - reference post #21 please.
@lovenyc52
You are so generous in allowing timeshare for Taeyang. Did you know he used to be my least favorite member in Big Bang? But now he is my favorite - I'm not exactly sure what promoted him so quickly, but wow... SO SEXY. LOL.
Thank you, skelly, for the suggestion. I keep trying to feed him sandwiches, too - I have a growing suspicion I know why he keeps going to the bathroom (note: bulemic tendencies). But yes, Tamaki Hiroshi is SO skinny. It's alarming.

LMAO!!!! Belleza! (and Langdon to start with)You have started something! Here I am in Japan sitting w/my mom sipping a cup of tea in peace and suddenly I bursted out laughing uncontrollably almost fell off this chair, startling my mom. Thank you for a good laugh for the first thing in a morning as usual.
Since I have to get going I`m only half way through the thread, for now i, I`d love to claim, let`s see...
Go Soo
Lee Min Ki(Ms Langdon, can we phuleeeese share this one?)
DeSung from Bigbang
Micky Yuchun from DBSK(I can also take him as my son number #2, lol, I luv him in whatever way I can)
Kang DongWon
Can`t think of others for now as I`d better get going on packing!
momosan and all others thanks for your tips on purchasing Mac. on the previous thread, I think I`m upgrading for 4GB and same size hard drive. And you live in Baltimore? I go there sometimes with my day job, it`s a beautiful(anf humid) city.
Around here, where I`m from originally, it`s been snowing like madness, some areas had 3 meters of snow over night!!! Here, at least it`s sunny this morning.

Yes! I finally finished LoCH 2008. Had to before I left for the Bay Area tonight otherwise I would have to (1) bring my new pink portable DVD player and fight with the kids over it, or (2) die of pain from not being able to finish it while I am traveling.
This isn't the right forum for a critical analysis or breakdown of this is adaptation, and other than my thoughts I shared as I was watching it - I thoroughly love it. Oh, its not the best adaptation, its not the perfect adaptation, and it certainly doesn't touch the classic 1982 version in terms of sheer epic storytelling. But LoCH 2008 inserts a modern pathos predominate in k-dramas into an epic Chinese style masterpiece. With 2 fantastic young actors as the leads, and 2 drop-dead gorgeous young actors as the other 2 leads - you've got delicious drama choco-pie, baby.
@ mookie - I loved that added cathartic confrontation between GJ/YK. Amazing fighting choreography (yes to spears and scythes, no to more special effects) and I was actually loving the dialogue, the first time we took it one step deeper from the "I will always take care of you" and the "I hate you, I really hate you" that the middle portions seem to consist of. Bromance off the charts!
And YK's death still made me cry (a lot), and seriously, how much more meangingful is it that by changing the story to OYF kills YK, and following canon in RoCH, OYF becomes YG's surrogate daddy and YG literally loves that crazy man to bits - for once the tampering actually makes the OYF-YG relationship in RoCH more poignant and less a plot device. You and I may get stoned (I'm too afriad to go to any LC threads), but blasphemy is fine by me here.
All in all, a very satisfying watch, the best of all the drama worlds, one really kick-ass adaptation. And can I say, all the villians are given such loving treatment here - its like screenplay writing 101, how to up the ante by making bad buys into totally awesome characters. Of course, I have plenty of criticism, but nothing that really detracts from the enjoyment I got, and really, are just nits in the grand scheme of things.
Loverboy certainly can die and still look beyond hot doing it. I would like to see him and either Shishi or Yang Mi re-do RoCH properly. Can't pick btw those girls, Shishi has mad chemistry with him, but Yang Mi is to me the female version of Yuan Hong, her Guo Xiang was "wow" to me, and she has that "it" factor.

Speaking of wearing tiger print and the minelist, I forgot to say how much I love Tablo especially in a tiger suit. This is the funniest Heroine 6 episode ever. Watch how all mayhem breaks lose when he and his sidekick Brian (my first kpop love) decides to take on the master.

Sorry - there are 2 people that are officially hands off in the claiming - one is Kim Nam Gil - but you are welcome to join the Army of Bidam Lovers aka the AoBL; the other is Im Joo-hwan who belongs to Team Park Kyu.

Re: SHINee - I hear you. Their obvious talent is what caught my eye in the first place, and I'm first and foremost in love with that, but I'm still laying claim on TM just so I could pinch his cheeks and show him off to my nieces that I'm the proud noona of this boy who can dance. Not that his genius has anything to do with me, but just saying. *shrug*
@hpn88,
I know, isn't that adorable? I love that practice video because even as good as the official MV was I noticed a jumpcut in it (right before TM's solo), whereas the practice video is one continuous shot. Again, TALENT with a T.
---
Off topic a little, but I wanted to give some love to Shining Inheritance. There are no fall head over heels romance in there, nor are there any particularly great acting from anyone (unlike CH, God, CH). It's also heck of a long series at 28 episodes, but because of its length it was able to slowly and naturally build up the character developments and relationships. And also because of its extension, it didn't suffer from a choppy and stunted ending like so many other dramas often fall prey to. I found that extremely satisfying. By the time it ended, it had became one of my top 5s of this past half year. It's like chicken soup, slow and nurturing, very good for a cold, if not exciting and spicy, but it's the warmth of it that stays with you long after. It's been weeks since I finished SI, but still I can't forget about it.

Good gravy, guys, there's a feeding frenzy going on here! I'm going to keep a safe distance, I think.
Am now watching:
WiSC -- Which is increasing turning into WTF. But will I be able to walk away from rubber-necking this train-wreck? You bet not!
Fantasy Couple -- Not sure about this. Definitely the weakest Hong Sisters work. Often Too Silly to Suffer. Acting just about (and not even always) on the right side of acceptable. Never mind, it fills my need for mindless activity after a day's work, and I can watch it while playing Sudoku on the computer.
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko -- I've finally finished. Perfect ending. Heart-warming but not sappy, and all true to character. Fantastic acting all through the series. Lovely little eccentric touches. Well fleshed-out characters. No cliche, no crazy. I'm definitely not going to ruin it by watching the Korean version. Because this original version is just perfect, down to the dog.
@ Langdon813
Sorry to hear of your loss. I'm blessed to have both my parents still with me, and I know that when one of them goes the world will become a darker place. I'm glad to see you are here on DB and having fun. Hope you're also having sufficient time and space to mourn.
@ celestialorigin
I switched to Mac a couple of years ago and have never looked back! I also have to share stuff with PC-users - I just have Office for Mac and that works fine. But I usually advise people thinking of switching to do so when they are not too stressed or busy, because they are quite different, and you may have to re-wire your brain (and fingers) in some ways. The first week of my switch I thought "why oh why did I do this to myself?". The second week was hard work but better. And then it's been plain sailing from then on. The Mac is not infallible. But the funny thing is:-- I forgive it much more easily than I would have forgiven my PC. Because my Mac does so many cool and nice-looking things for me, I feel I have built a relationship with it. Whereas the PC was just a tool (and a blunt one, at that).
@Belleza
Have been wanting to say (but barely able to keep up reading OT, let alone post): LOVE your Rain Love-to-Kill getting-beaten-up-as-NPW analysis. See, I've memorised it:
Fangirl: "Rain oppa so strong! See how he uses his body to protect girl from fierce attacking men! I love Rain!"
Noona: "Rain so stupid! See how weak and vulnerable he is! I love Rain!"
Well, something like that. (Sorry for the misquote!) Anyway, thinking of the brilliance of a mere two sentences puts a smile on my face!
I also thought of you as I went for my run this morning -- I have Seishun Amigo on my ipod running playlist. Love it! Best slash song ever!
@ CN Blue
Jung Yong Hwa is so surprisingly *alive* when he's fronting a band. Gone is the Bland, hello Personality and Fun. I see now how he got cast in YAB. Shame the acting demands seemed to have paralysed him. Perhaps he could still transfer his winsome stage personality into screen presence if he got some confidence and acting lessons?

Thank you. Being here, acting normally, and having fun helps tremendously. But I'm sad, no getting around that. My husband cooked tonight and reminded me about my mom asking for his wonderful BBQ ribs about a month ago. That was all it took, I think I cried through my whole meal. It's going to be stuff like that that's hard for me, and not picking up the phone every couple of hours to check on her. :-(

That's it exactly. I love my Mac, and I feel like it likes me, too. We're a team. When something does go wrong, I worry that it's hurt. Most of the time, it is able to fix itself, and if it can't, it has geniuses that can... I've only used the Genius Bar once, but I was so impressed. They fixed the problem I went in for, and a whole bunch of other small things I hadn't noticed or had misarranged, that did indeed make my little baby work faster and better.

@195, djes,
i'm thrilled if Jakarta is cold nowadays, coz i'm planning to go home next week... but if it's raining everyday that means there would be more traffic jam than the usual no-rain, right???
@CNBlue,
as they were hailed as the next FT Island, i find their music is so much different than FT Island, it feels very much of an indie band rather than idol, not did i had any sort of objection with any idol stuffs... me like!!!

@bbm : yea, the traffic is bad, if not worst than usual... let's hope there won't be flood this year ( which actually is kinda impossible-sigh- especially it's almost Chinese New Year.. )
