Happy OT Thread Friday! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Mine has really just begun and with nothing special on my plate, I think I'm going to watch the ending of Swallow the Sun, catch up on some online church services and peek in on IRIS.

With that said, has anyone else seen Swallow? And Temptation of an Angel? TOA has had me in stitches! Its hilarious! What about Yume wo Kanaeru Zo? Its got this Lord Ganesh thing going on and being my teaching specialization is Hinduism, I was thinking about giving it a try. I want to see Shun of course but I was wondering if its done well or just ridiculous fluff, nothing factual or believable (concerning the religion that is)?

You are right...the couple switches and though I wasn't "happy" with it, it turns out the way it should. When I was watching the show I don't remembering hearing about any fan service. Most everyone was just impressed with the uniqueness of the drama in that sense. The second lead finally gets the girl! For me, it was a show that I felt everyone needed to move on and find someone new. I liked the show alot until certain "propositions" were made and the angst was just too irritating to me. I had issues with her desperation and his p.a.n. (punk a** nonsense) behavior.

Just wanted to greet everyone happy OT! After being MIA for so many months in OT and Kdrama, I'm back!! :) I have no exam later but I have group mates sleeping over at my house tonight for a school project. A FRIDAY NIGHT my goodness.. can things get any worse?

Anyway bananas! One boring afternoon, I decided to check up on Kdramas and on a whim I started watching, "You're Beautiful" without any idea of what the story or even plot was going to be. This show is wild okay! Cause two days later I have one last episode to go! What a great way to rekindle my love with Kdrama? I hope this Kdrama luck continues.

I technically would've stayed with some friends, but am going up with a group this time so that option is out. So now I'm trying to figure out where to stay for relatively cheap since most of us are college students. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated :)

I've seen up to ep 14. I watched the first ep and skipped to ep 5 so I got there a lil quicker than you. My drama buddy was loving it so I wanted to see what the hype was about. Sadly, I think she's a little disappointed that I find it so hilarious. I really just wanted to see the plastic surgery transformation. I am at the point now that I really have no sympathy for any of the (main) characters. There isn't one that I feel is actually justified. I know that I should hate the wife, feel sorry for the husband and have some sympathy in other areas as well but alas, I'm not there (my heart is too small or my brain is too functional). I only have a few more eps to go so I don't really see that changing. But I will say that for all its complete silly, its rather easy to watch. The show goes by rather quickly. I ended up watching about 7 eps on Saturday without much problem... but then again I was chuckling alot so that might have helped.

And, I just turned on Green Rose ep1 and I don't think I like it. There's something off about it to me. Should I stick with it? I'm just not loving Lee Da Hae at all.

just recently gone to NYC for two weeks vaca and it was awesome!

if you are going to stay there for a long while, don't bother with the buses and
just ride the subway... that way you really experience NYC...

http://www.gotobus.com and go to a 3day trip to neighboring states... it's pretty
cheap and there's a lot of interesting things to see...
I bought a 3 day trip to Philly, Wshinton DC and Niagara Falls for only $132
and if you buy two you get the 3rd ticket for free.. it's not the most luxurious
tour out there but for the price it's great... the hotel rooms are pretty neat.
The only thing is, this tour is mostly chinese peeps... so the tour guide might not be so great [ heavy accent and all...but you've hit jackpot if you do speak chinese] but who really listens to tour guides anyway when you have soo many stuff to look at, right?

double deckers are about $40-50, so it's not cheap at all... but if you're in a hurry to see everything, it is more convenient and since it's up high [where you're sitting] you can view the city better.... get loads of pics while you're at it...

btw, if you can, go to a show or two... in time square they sell these discounted tickets for some of the shows-- only things is, they can only sell tickets for shows on that same day.. so choices are limited.

what else? oh yeah, there's also a mega bus that could take you to Boston or neighboring cities with starting fare of $20... which i only found out the day before
our flight home... arrrggghhh....

lastly but most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!!
