Kim Hye-soo the vampire

Vampires may be the trend right now, but I think they don’t often look so chic. Here’s sexy siren Kim Hye-soo (Style) in vampire makeup for an “art marketing” campaign for Fissler Korea.

The goal is to take an artistic view to their advertising, using the skills of photographer Kang Young-ho and top makeup artist Jung Saem-mool. Apparently, Kim Hye-soo got the idea from Kang’s photo exhibit, which is currently on display at Sungkok Museum.

In addition to being Fissler’s brand model (the company sells cookware), Kim Hye-soo acted as art director for her shoot. Regardless of what they’re selling, I think the photos are pretty striking. The vampire concept is popular in a teen-goth sort of way, but I like seeing it done differently, if only for a change from the usual (as Thirst‘s lead actors did for their Vogue photo shoot earlier this year).

The pictures look great I thought they were for a magazine shoot. She looks great but I wouldn't remember that this is for cookware though.

VAMPIRE CREATIVITY: Marketing term for a commercial that is so creative and
entertaining that people remember the ad, but not the product being sold. It essentially bites itself.

How ironic that they're using a vampire theme.

i see it as more of a snow queen concept. it's lovely. the first picture is by far the best. i would have liked to see the last two pics against a white background :)

wow...looking at the pics...I notice that it makes a huge difference what eye color you have

with black eyes, her face looks very mundane

but with white eyes, it looks otherwordly

I'm going to get me some white contacts :)

Very intriguing. I admit I was a bit thrown off seeing her holding the pot though. I agree, vampire + cookware= Huh? Lol. Love the contacts though.

i feel the white makeup would look a lot better on someone with sharper/more defined features.....

and all i can think about while looking at these is how hard it must've been to wash all that makeup off.... *_*

oohhh... nice. I like the FIRST AND FOURTH shots tha best!

But I have to laugh at how far-off the theme is from the brand (cook wares!) they are advertising, made me think, " POTS AND PANS!!! ssooo...the vampire's finally gonna try and eat something cooked?!"

They're like... vampire-fairies, what with the branchy stuff and no fangs.

Anyway, really cool.

NO VAMPIRE at all.. this is like a snow queen or some other mystical creature. Definitely not vampire. Why am I insist so? because I'm one!

This almost funny:-)
I think the concept fails in 2 aspects:
Vampire concept- Where's the red?The first thing that comes to mind while thinking of vamps is blood and fangs.Unless they're going in for a frozen vampire look.:-D
Ad concept- For cookware?Of all the things?:-D I was too mesmerized by the images to even notice the pans.:-)
As a stand alone photo shoot I think it's awesome. The photos are stunning.I wish they had put in more effort into the concept though.

I agree with some others that this isn't really "vampire"...You could just as easily say, she's a fairy...She's an elf...She's collaborated with Lee Jun-ki. Vampire? Not so much.

Still, those pictures are awesome. Independent of a missed concept, or an inappropriate product for the missed concept, they're really cool.

Vampires, Cooking. Bahaha. Korea, <333.

agree @ number 6, there's no a vampire vibes at all but more of Lord of the Rings.

More like she's ready to do a remake of the American movie "Powder" (instead) than deem apparent in this vampire or "Twilight" fever.
