Whenever I read about your husband it totally reminds me of mine. My husband's family is from kongsangdo (the place where Shin Woo is suppose to be from in YB) whic has a stereotype for producing monosyllabic, stoic, gruff men. The men in my husband's family are all devoted husbands in the sense they can't do much without their wives but sensitivity isn't one of the qualities of that devotion haha!

@cingdoc -
"Now that I reread what I have written, it sounded as if I was bragging***blush**
By no mean my Hubby is perfect. "

Even if you were bragging you would have every right to since it sounds like you have a great husband. If my husband puts the dishes away and cleans the kitchen I brag to my sisters all weekend. I think my husband would prefer I was obsessed instead with biking or golfing so I can understand and indulge his passion. I'm sure he would love it if I encouraged him to take one day every weekend to go golfing to improve his putting.

Honestly I think secretly he prefers my passion for kdrama rather than say my past obsession with basketball. I used to get so upset and angry for days if my team didn't win and in one case I locked myself in the bathroom while we were on vacation up in Toronto in our hotel room for a few hours. He lived with this behavior for about 10 years since my husband and I started dating since college and my basketball obsession had started in grade school thanks to my brother. With my kdrama "hobby" I vent on the boards if the drama is bad and sigh happily if an episode or drama is great. His life is happier now than during the final four or NBA playoffs.

Missed how we transitioned to political movies but I love The Contender.

Much as I loved Joan Allen in this movie--actually I can't think of a role she has done I didn't like--I loved Jeff Bridges equally or maybe even a tad more. The only thing I might have a slight issue with is what I felt was an over the top liberal slant and I'm a liberal. I think I would have preferred it to be less about the virtuosity of the left and given Gary Oldman's senator more of a evenhanded story treatment.

@Hall of Shame
ughhh, I just spent over 40 min talking with my Mom in HKG...after the first 15 min of the usual pleasantries ( are the girls behaving? No Pwa Pwa...Are you busy at work? Yes, Mom...Did you make soup for my son in law ...No, I mean yes, Mom), I did something my 12 yo would do to me- I asked My near 80 yo Mom to look for PIG RABBIT for me in HKG...so shameful of me!!!!!! Part of me (the crazy, drama addict) figures that most toys are still made in HKG/China, so I immediately pleaded with my Mom for him. Grandma asked which one of the girls wants it...I said xxxx(my name). Grandma had to make sure if she heard it right, and I confirmed it so...I think I heard a chuckle on the other end of the long distant. :)So, you see, @nycgrl, going to LA Koreantown with Hubby is nothing, so I'm "outsourcing" my kdrama addiction to my Mom, he he ;)

@hjkomo
re:Samsooki- I know, but I feel sorry about the poor guy, sleep deprived and all. I do miss his witty bantering, though, so I will cut some slacks for him. Besides, I did suffer a moment of "swooning" over Ji Jin Hee , and thus not very clear headed.

Don't let all these talking about spinning fool you. I am the last person to be athletic-far from it. I had a serious bout of medical problem this past Summer, so all the exercises and healthy eating( no rice, no red meat) are all medically related regiment. My Hubby is the true cyclist who relentlessly "share" HIS time with me. Instead of biking alone, he will walk with me 1 1/2 hrs with me, swim if it's hot, and even play ping pong ( part of my rehab -eye/hand coordination) -anything to keep me from giving up or just help me stick with the program. I truly beiieve that if left to my own, I would have given up loooong time ago. I'm much better now -I do not look like a model, but actually pretty toned for a middle aged ahjumma ;)

So very cute. I wonder if Kulber-Ross had YB in mind when she came up with the 5 steps of recovery and one of those steps is to confess to the embarassing acts we create whether it is to ask an 80 yo mom for pig-rabbit, printing and cutting out cibis of A.N.Gell, or buying and trying to hide an YB OST from your husband.

My parents are in Korea right now and I can just imagine what they would say if I asked them to bring me back Pig-Rabbit. They would probably bring back an actual pig rabbit stew in those frozen medicine pouches that is good for my health. It will be like my childhood christmas all over again when my dad bought my own cupping set. Expensive but maybe not what a 10 yo exactly needs and wants. LOL.

My little Twilight-obsessed sister just guilted me into seeing New Moon with her Friday night. Why? Why? Why? Though I may be President of the ICOMYM Club, even the promise of scantily-clad young werewolf hotties doesn't make me want to see this movie. Not even a little. But we haven't spent any time together at all since my mom got sick (same dad, different moms) so I couldn't say no to her.

So, what to do? Well, I guilted her right back and told her she has to see Ninja Assassin with me next week. Fair is fair. :-D

Also, I will now be soliciting volunteers for a very important job; the only duty entails screening all Lee Min-ki films in advance to tell me if they're safe to watch. The pay sucks, but the eye candy is calorie-free!

You think I would know better than drinking my H20 while reading OT...yup, I sprayed my laptop...lol
YB addictions....GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY...it's infectious , too. The 16 yo was sitting next to me, watching NCIS (another symptom-ignoring one's usual activities like watching ANY tv shows) and before you know it..."Mom, who's that cute guy (Jeremy!!!)" I gave her the lightning speed synopsis of the drama, and she then turned and told me"Well, we marathoned Coffee Prince when we had the flu, so we can watch this during my week of Thanksgiving holiday."...yup, got another kdrama addict ( maybe I can prove that kdrama addiction is genetically predisposed- lol :)
Prognosis- poor- no cure have been found ( not that we wanted one)

Umm, its 4:20am, and I am hunched over baby JiHoon wondering why he fusses between the hours of 1 am and 6 am, unable to find a single comfotable sleeping spot that lasts for more than 4 mins outside of his mother's arms. I tell you, there is something about a baby's anatomy / proportions and a mother's boobs that just fit together like an enzyme.and substrate - I would be embarrassed by my nerdom-speak, but its 4:30am and I am starved of sleep.

But as tired as I am, I'm NOT brain addled. Hehe!

Here's how it goes - JB thinks KJH is hers. She is living in the past - contemporize, woman!
Hjkomo believes she holds a subordinate pefected claim on kjh. But she has built her fantasy on a dream - wake up to reality, sister!

Here's the lay of the land - I'll break it down for you like a fraction. KJH = mine. See, that's we roll around here.

My only concern is, rightly, that sharing is caring, and baby JiHoon should see a better exampe from papa, but an equally important concept is atomistic kjh integrity and with this concept, the lynchpin principle is that KJH cannot be divided and is already the smallest he will get and thus cannot be further subdivided. Therefore, as any lawyer knows, possession is 90% of ownership. - ergo, samsooki wins.

:D

@samsooki aka anonymous

You had me going 'Awww samsooki is nursing cute Ji Hoon' and thinking 'poor thing has not had enough sleep, but good on him for allowing Mrs Samsooki some zzzzz!"

Then it hit me. Hang on a minute......

That sweet imagery was once again another plot of yours to claim "MINE!" on KJH!!!

This is a new low even in your history of KJH claiming dastardliness/delusions! Using poor innocent (and oh so cute) Baby Samsooki like that! A new low low point. He is only a baby!

And by the way - when you said possession is 90% of ownership...does that mean you have kidnapped KJH again?!!! @_@

hjkomo, hanjaman and all defenders of KJH -
we havet to defend and protect not only KJH this time but also poor baby Ji Hoon! Do you think if we shouted that Sung Yuri and Jang Nara was waiting to take Samsooki for a nice cup of coffee and a chat he would quickly let the "innocents" go?

(btw seriously - hope that Baby Ji Hoon settles down to a more manageable sleep pattern for you and Mrs Samsooki. But when he is that cute - am sure all is forgiven when he smiles at you right?)

Laughing at the 4:30 a.m. post on the OT, but only because I was still posting at 2:30 a.m. myself. I'm telling you, this place is the hive, we are the bees, and JB is the Queen. Just the way it is.

Hee, I'm so thankful and happy no one is trying to lay claim on my Jung Woo-sung. All this KJH nonsense, I'm sensing that we'll need to devise a challenge for the participants to duke it out and one emerges victorious. However, I wouldn't trade all this KJH love and barb-volleying for anything. You guys are the wittiest!

As you can see, I'm almost never around for the late night convos - because I've learned that sleep is truly precious after 2 kids in 2 years (what was I thinking?), so now when I have time to sleep, I pounce like an overeager lion. Downside is that it appears I miss the randonmess that the bees in the hive buzz about in the wee hours of the night. It doesn't feel the same reading it in the morning. =-(

@ langdon-unni

Can you give us a short review of New Moon (I'm dead serious). I won't see it until it comes out on DVD, and I would love a langdon-special report. Try not to get too distracted by all the wolf-pups.

@ samsooki

I just have three words for you - Hang in there (my friend). While your body may adjust to this deprivation soon, your soul will always long for the days of yester-year when you could sleep when you want, and for as long as you want. I miss the sleep until noon on Sunday in NYC, then meeting my girlfriends for brunch in SoHo. But that was another lifetime ago, and I wouldn't trade every sleepless night I spent nursing the babies, soothing them, sleeping with them contorted around me per their demands, for anything in the world. Enjoy even the sleepless moments, new daddy! It's nice of you to get up at night, hubby used to do that for the first kid, but when the girl child arrived, I had the routine down pat and he would get up, grab the squalling infant, deposit her on me for nursing, and then promplty fall back asleep. At one point - I swear he was doing the entire routine while he was STILL asleep!

@ cingdoc

Okay, you are too adorable, love the story about have your 80 yr old mom find PIG-RABBIT for you! Awesome, love your mom, she's actually gonna try. When you get one, post a picture for us, okay?

@ simplesim

Aw, thanks, you're too sweet. I was fiddling with my mini-camcorder, caught the babies doing something kinda cute, and the next thing I know, it's up on youtube. And I thought, so many aunties have offered to babysit them, better introduce them to said aunties so people can still rescind their offer. But langdon has first dibs - I'm fair like that - the rule of firsts I shall abide by (unlike a certain gentleman we all know and adore).

Onward to YB episode 13 (see, I love you guys MORE than my need to sate my cravings wtih the latest YB episode). And lastly - wheeeeee for City Hall on Dramafever. Sounds like a new batch of Hallers may be created soon.

Innnnnnnnteresting.

1. Dramafever has all twenty (20) episodes of City Hall, and the subs are organic (?? no subtitle credits, so I assume that they come straight from production?)

2. The editing is very slightly different from the original broadcast.... which means this might be the DVD version.

3. The subs are pretty good - but I dislike it when the English translation is just a summarization of the gist of what the Korean is - if I can, I like to make the English translation to be more literal, because then the flavor of the Korean language (and its beauty and its imagery) can be more clearly tasted. These organic subs seem to favor "getting the gist" over keeping to the original language flavor, and I am very slightly uncomfortable with that. i.e., if you are going to use translators who are extremely good at both Korean and English, then can't you find a translation editor who can do a better job at keeping the korean flavor while still getting the "gist" across?

more thoughts to come....back to work...

Just when I was getting worry about your state of health/lack of sleep, I see that you haven't lost "it"- your wits. The fact that you can be so fiery ,at the early hours ,with min. hours of sleep has given me a whole new "view" of you- you're crazy if you think you can "monopolize" KJH . There's no way you can "claim" your possession of him. From the legal point of view, where is the proof of such transaction? Where is your legal lien ? Besides, JB is the Queen of kdramaland, and I think she can probably exercise her "sovereign power" and keep KJH , and none of your legal standing would hold water....It's better to share, Papa Samsooki...You know you're our (my)favorite, right??
Besides, you can always use your secret weapon, cutie pie Ji Hoon, and probably "wrestle" more shares of KJH from JB and hjkomo, he he...

@Ji Hoon
This will your first OT...please be a good boy and let Mom and Dad sleep...Did Daddy even try the tricks that I have posted earlier(#230) , or is he too busy to read the post?

@Simplesim
Ok, I cheated and watched the preview of epi 13...HTK's Mom-"....he(TK) might not even speak to her (GMN) if he only knew that she is (the songwriter Mr. Go)'s kid...uhhh, I think I have watched too many kdrama when I thought of such plot 5 episodes ago....

Yea, I'm guilty...I'm still my Mom's "baby". The fact that I'm a mother and middle aged means nothing to my Mom. As stated in older OT's, my mother still "shops" for my sisters and me in HKG ( my sisters actually go to HK every year, sometimes twice a year and spend time with her). My mom is Type O (bloodtype); someone who wouldn't blink at all if, let's say, I told her that one of my friend just have a cute baby boy (our Ji Hoon), and she would ask if it's ok if she gets something for the baby, too. I wouldn't doubt it that she would buy more Pig Rabbits if I mentions all my friends (OT) want one,too. (Mental notes, might want to have Sis Triplet #3 who has a shipping company to handle the logistics...he he) ....See, @Samsooki, share.... ;)

I need a YB fix tonight.... Too bad I'm gonna be helping my friend tape her house to get painted... At least she's bribing me with some soon tofu for dinner. I wonder if i can get her to let me play 2PM and Big Bang while we're taping....

I forgot to share a recommendation for a political book:

I don't know what type of political/history books you are interested in - but any book by David McCullough is just stellar. My faves from him are John Adams or 1776 (speaking of which, been meaning to buy and read Truman).

Another favorite political/history writer of mine own interest is Jonathan Spence, he's one of the last China hands left, and I've read pretty much all his books (it dovetailed with my major in college).

I would stay far, far away from the recent crop of refuse coming from the "politicians" of our day.

And if you want to go way, way back to old school days - read The Prince by Nicolo Machiavelli. And even business leaders today read The Art of War by Sun Tze.

Nobody, but nobody, does "steely fragility" like Joan Allen. She needs to guest star in Mad Men asap. She doesn't belong in our era - that's the only thought that goes through my head when her classiness pops up on screen or in print.

But I won't resort to Samsooki-like childish antics. ;)
There's plenty of JWS to share. :D

@ langdon813

Lol at your compromise with your sister. Hey, maybe you can convert her over to the kdrama darkside. And you could always just focus on Michael Sheen in New Moon... (although, I highly doubt this movie will showcase his talents..oh well..)

...which leads me to the thought of Frost/Nixon ->
@doublethink101 - there's another political movie for your list.

@ cingdoc

I'm already living proof of the genetic predisposition to kdrama addiction. (2nd generation right here ;) )
I left eps of Assorted Gems on my mom's computer when I visited last month, and she ended up getting addicted to it...and blamed me for her sleep deprivation. Sheesh.

Those who are fighting a three-pronged battle for Kang Ji-hwan has by default relinquished any claims to Jung Woo-sung. Hey, I'm doing it for your own good - you need to concentrate on your battle at hand. Don't worry, I'll take good care of JWS for you in the meantime. ;-) Promise. And yeah, I kinda concede there is just too much JWS to go around, but I rather fancy staking my claim. Plus, he's making a Chinese movie, with John Woo, based on one of the Gu Long novellas (I grew up reading those and ones by Louis Cha), and he's learning Chinese (my language) - so, maybe I keeps him for the time being. That okay with you? See how polite I am, samsooki, maybe a pretty please with JB and hjkomo will work wonders resolving the KJH impasse. Or a timeshare between the three of you merits consideration.....

I really enjoyed the John Adams miniseries (highly recommended), but I didn't know it was based on a book. I read The Prince a couple of years ago; there is nothing from the Renaissance that I don't love. Very few contemporary books are as good as the classics. Seems like I have quite a bit of reading to do. Thank you.

We need to switch - I need to watch the miniseries and you need to read the book.

"John Adams is an 2008 American television miniseries, chronicling most of President John Adams's political life and his role in the founding of the United States. The role of John Adams is played by Paul Giamatti. It was directed by Tom Hooper. Kirk Ellis wrote the screenplay based on the book John Adams by David McCullough."

Sorry for not responding - I've heard about Smiling Pasta, and actually seen another drama with Nicolas (Invincible San Bao Mei). Nicolas was the best thing about that drama, which is terrible. And I confess - my sister has been trying to get me to watch Smiling Pasta, but I keep not biting. I think Nicolas is wonderful - as an actor and singer (he's not the Ballad King of Taiwan for nothing), and maybe someday I will. The actress from Smiling Pasta is currently starring in Momo Love with Jiro Wang (who is looking mighty fine).

I have the best of Nicolas two CDs on constant rotation in my car the past month - his voice is better than butter.

My fave song - Lonely Border (unni - this MV is weird, but it has a Takashi look-a-like, I swear!).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOFi3hz9hbw

I quote from another viewer about the plot (I have no clue WTH is going on): Guy#1 is ill(terminal?) and liked that girl. Girl is in a relationship w/ guy who lost an eye. Guy#1 goes under surgey to give the other guy his sight back.

How about Caro's "Master of the Senate" which is about LBJ? Caro is one of my favorite biographers and his "Power Broker" about Robert Moses is one of my all time favorite books. Way up there with James Joyce's Ulysses.

Speaking of John Adams, Paul Giamatti is love and I've been a fan of his since he played pig-vomit in Howard Stern's private parts. For those of you who don't know Paul's dad was the very famous baseball commissioner A. B. Giamatti.

STOP ******MAJOR SPOILER FOR YB EPISODE 13*******DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER

Just finished watching the raw version of YB epi 13- Wow....I don't understand the dialogues, but I got the gist of the plot. The Hong sisters never disappoint us. I was expecting an episode of cutesy date between HTK and GMN. Instead, from what I have gathered, a very gut wrenching, emotional hour of poor Shin Woo- his dream date with GMN, the embarrassment moment thanks to the resident witch, HY, and of course just the plain (true) ignorance of GMN on how SW feels about her ***sigh*** I was also glad to see some "human emotion" from Mr. Grumpy himself. There were down right giddiness on his part about the new found feeling( I love the sour tangerine/feed me I'm busy driving part). I can't wait til I read the recaps and then watch it again( and of course a 3rd time when it's subbed)

Good on 'im for improving his "engrish" (lost the post # for that one). The Korean grocery store near me has the "Fresh Ramen" song on rotation and I laugh every time (another thing to thank JB for).

Whole discussion about who owns KJW : I wasn't worried about claiming KJW, as I have Takeshi Kaneshiro and Kim Rae Won already and defy anyone to try to wrest them from my clutches, but seeing how desperately you all fight over KJW, now I think I want some of that too. The praise for HGD made me curious so I went to check it out... I had no idea it was comedy (or part comedy)... I've decided it will be my Christmas break viewing. So look out, there may well be more KJW competition in the new year.

Excuse me for a second while I go off and - SQUEEEEEEE!!!! - oh wow, you had the chance to take a Spence China history class at Yale? I am so envious, and I wish you had just so I can pry you with 101 questions. I dream of auditing a class of his, he really is the god-father of modern US-Sino relations in the sense that his China studies helped pave the way for US-Sino academics to advise on policy. Anyways, his books are awesome, riveting in its clarity and depth on his subject at hand.

@ cingdoc

I grew up on the TVB serials in the 80s - Legend of the Condor Heros, Return of the Condor Heroes, et. al. But the Condor Heros were written by Louis Cha, while Gu Long did write Luk Xiao Feng and Chu Luo Xiang, and Shooting Star, Butterfly and Sword.

My fave serial of that era was....not surprising...Chow Yun-fat as the most awesomely insouciant drunk hero ever as Ling Hu-chong in the Smiling Proud Wanderer or Xiao Au Jiang Hu.

Just finished watching the raw of YB ep 13 and like cingdoc I watch the raw, read JB's recap and than wait for subs on Friday and watch again. Its like the instructions to washing your hair on a shampoo bottle..wash, rinse and wash again.

*Some Spoilers Ahead*
I am not a crier but I nearly had tears in my eyes for SW. It was probably the first time I've felt really really bad for him. Also I think his acting might have gone better.

Also glad HTK stayed true to character and didn't get all lovestruck giddy. I'm not sure if I could take that...it would be like watching Wednesday Adams smile **shivers**.

The highlight of this show is the very cute HTK phone app Uee was playing with (where can I get one!) and the manager's very cute dance when he was all proud of himself for the match making. I love the manager. He is too cute man. I can't decide between HTK and the manager.

Sorry for not responding – I’ve heard about Smiling Pasta, and actually seen another drama with Nicolas (Invincible San Bao Mei). Nicolas was the best thing about that drama, which is terrible. And I confess – my sister has been trying to get me to watch Smiling Pasta, but I keep not biting. I think Nicolas is wonderful – as an actor and singer (he’s not the Ballad King of Taiwan for nothing), and maybe someday I will. The actress from Smiling Pasta is currently starring in Momo Love with Jiro Wang (who is looking mighty fine)."

Smiling Pasta is the best of what the two leads have played in. I tried the first two eps. of Invincible Shan Bao Mei and couldn't finish ep. 2, no matter how much I like Nicholas after SP. As for Momo Love, I haven't bothered checking it out. Jiro is too OTT for me, and Cyndi's cutsey acts are what I abhor in TW drama, except in SP. SP was different because it was elegant, fast-paced and lovely from the word go. The chemistry between Nicholas and Cyndi is awesome. I rate SP above Fated to Love You, and SP is to TW idol boy band drama what YB is to Kr boy band drama.

"I have the best of Nicolas two CDs on constant rotation in my car the past month – his voice is better than butter.

My fave song – Lonely Border (unni – this MV is weird, but it has a Takashi look-a-like, I swear!).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOFi3hz9hbw "

The guy is serious eye candy. He spots Takashi's hairstyle and fine features, and side views of So Ji Sub and Cha Seung Won. And he is as tall as any of them... and is well built. He's MINE! (What's his name?) OK, going off hunting for more info.

Ahhhh....I'm happy now. Thank you JB for the recaps...I have 2 tabs opened on my laptop- 1 for your recaps, the other with the drama streaming in the raw version- flipping back and forth, one way or another, getting my YB's fix. And then, tomorrow nite, I will rewatch it again with the subs. he he :)

I'm staying up late - Hubby had to postpone his flight to Boston until tomorrow, crazy boss called an emergency meeting to plan out the next 3 years of the company (really, boss dude, that meeting couldn't have been planned a few weeks earlier, oh, I see, it's cuz you have no long-term foresight so everyone must jump at your bidding).

@ langdon-unni

I nominate lovenyc52 - she lives in SoCal, has no ball and chain (i.e. the ockoala babies), and appears to go clubbing and socializing on a much more frequent basis amongst our SoCal group. Plus, she mentioned the event - she needs to stake out Kress and take a picture with Rain for us.

@ reluctantbutaddicted (and langdon)

1. Yay, you're gonna watch HGD. 2. Hrm, does langdon know Takeshi is "yours" cuz she's described him to me as her future husband/husband from a past life/the man she'll marry in her dreams - something along those lines - so want to make sure who he belongs to so I can correctly support that relationship.

@ kb

Spence redefines the term professor emeritus. ;-) He must be like 85 by now (I jokes, he's likely in his mid-70s).

@ rambutan

Done! You sold me on Smiling Pasta (sister is gonna be fuming that I refused to watch it at her suggestion but needed an OT friend to win me over). I'm returning Sweet Relationships to her (can't watch past 2 episode even with Vic Zhou all broody in it - just like you felt about Nicolas in San Bao Mei), and asking to borrow her Smiling Pasta.

As for Jiro Wang in Momo Love - its the drama that re-introduced me to Jiro. He is NOT OTT at all in the drama - in fact, I can't fathom it's the same Jiro from ISWAK (Ah-Jin!!!!). He's hot, and normal, and just adorable in Momo Love (this from me who always thought he looked kinda like a lanky howler monkey). I also discovered (and can understand) that Jiro is part of the boy band Farenheit with Wu Zhun (so pretty, so very vacantly pretty). The story is based on a manga (as usual) so it's silly but Jiro is a win in Momo Love. But I'm not watching it regularly - a little show called Autumn Concerto has turned me into a quivering mass of jelly waiting for a fictional family to be reunited.

Oh, and that dude from the Nicolas MV - yeah, in addition to his Takeshi resemblance, he's pretty hot and made an impression inspite of the completely nonsensical plot of the MV. Since you called him fairly and squarely - it appears he's yours! Let us know his name and how to track him in the future.

@ ockoala and reluctantbutaddicted

I'm about to do something I've never seen done before on the OT.

I hereby renounce all previous "MINE" claims to Takeshi Kaneshiro and will henceforth cease and desist referring to him as My Future Husband. I will even remove this claim from my Facebook page, where I posted it two years ago.

Takeshi and I are officially over. I'll always love him, but...I just love Lee Min-ki more. I can't help it. I give up.

i'm fiiiiiiinally home!! i was at my friend's house again helping her tape all the baseboards and moldings and what not to prep for painting. and i'll be there again tomorrow night to finish it up. it's hard when there's a year old baby that also needs to be played with [but hey, she's adorable as all heck, so it's still fun!]. now it's time to watch YB ep 13 and read JB's recaps as well. i can't believe there's only 3 more eps after this!!

@ langdon813 and ockoala - HAHA!! honestly when i got the facebook event notice for the ninja assassin release party, my first thought was 'wth? they're hosting a release party?? what's the point... unless Rain is gonna be there or something!' and then i scroll down and it says 'Rain will be making an appearance!' and then i was like 'oh, well in THAT case..' Unfortunately, though i am ball-and-chain-less, i already promised my friend we'd go see the tree lighting at Fashion Island on Friday (yay! prettiness!!) and then watch New Moon *shudder*. But she's bribing me with pie and her mom (her mom is loads of fun haha), so can't pass that up. I'll bet you though, that Rain will show up for about 20 minutes and be roped off in a corner wearing his sunglasses, being Mr. World Star haha. Thank you for the nomination though - i probably do go out more than my body would like for me to and would have dragged unwilling friends with me to this if i did not already have plans.

*edit and SPOILER!!!* - just watched YB ep 13... first off pooooor shin woo!!! I really feel for the guy. even if i'm diehard TK/MN shipper, shin woo really just is the ultimate nice guy and you really want the best for him! moving on though. i have to admit that i rewatched the 100 points part a bunch of times. i could NOT stop smiling at TK's reaction and when he hugged Pig Rabbit, squeed and PATTED IT'S BUTT. ha! Ok I have to say, Heyi's tactics are getting old and tired. I know that her trump card has always been 'i know the secret and i'm gonna tell!! so you better do what i say and keep me happy!' but how did they ever NOT think of TK's response before? Cuz honestly, my first thought when she first started threatening them was 'well, if she's Korea's Fairy and keeps threatening to create scandal, can't they threaten her in a similar way by revealing her true nature?' But i guess that wouldn't be a drama then huh?? That said, I'm really glad that TK finally did just tell her off though - girl needs to at least come up with more creative ways to make them do her bidding if this is going to continue. And did i mention i LOVE jeremy?!?! i really do. his expressions are just PRICELESS. when he sacrificed himself to eat the spaghetti and discovered TK's extra ingredient, i laughed my ass off. i couldn't help it.

Just went to dvdheaven.com to try to buy the Pig Rabbit because it's just under $30... but shipping is about $25... ?!?!?!?!??!?! Tried Yesasia and theirs is $50 before shipping. Tried star-thots.com but their security something is expired and i'm scared to buy from them. Any thoughts?!?! Do I really have to wait until January when i go to Korea to buy it?!?! i'm scared it'll be gone by then. Any thoughts fellow YB-obsessed OTers?!

@341 cingdoc

Re: YB
I can’t believe you are doing the same like me. I wrote about it in an earlier post. Lol, I thought I was crazy. I open 2 tabs but side by side, JB recaps on the left hand side and YB episode on the right. But I have to ‘painfully’ wait a week for WithS2 subs. :-)

I hope after the ‘break’ TK and MN will get back together before ep16, at least at the end of ep15. Please, Hong sisters, spare us the high blood pressure! Seriously, at our age (cingdoc, you don’t have to cry, I am older than you), all this angst and sleep deprivition is not good for us. I waited for the torrent till midnight (my time), set it to download and set my alarm at 3.30am to check whether its downloading ok (internet connection goes off in the wee hrs sometimes) so that I could watch it in the morning before I go to work. I have already read ep13 spoilers from soompi thread (thanks to cecilia et al), watched the raws even before I brush my teeth lol. Then wait till lunch time when JB’s recaps are usually up.

Oh, btw, I love all the same ‘sqeee’ parts like you! I just go aaaaw when TK pat the pig-rabbit’s bum! Read that there may be a time jump, what say you, screenplayer? Lol

@ockoala
More pao pei scenes please if you have the time. Wanted to post a message for your video, so I tried signing up on youtube but my name was already taken! Hmm…

Ok, its about time that I go over and camp at soompi for all the titbits and crumps I can get as the members watched live and give a blow-by-blow account while viewing. How sweet and generous of them. If I can watch live, I will be hugging a big fat pillow with my eyes glued to the screen, mouth open, drooling… :-)

haha! just received another friendly reminder of the Ninja Assassin Release Party for tomorrow night. Here are some snippets:

"It's going to RAIN this Friday! Korean superstar, actor, singer, dancer and sex-icon..."

"Warner Brothers Home Entertainment brings to you NINJA ASSASSIN, this holiday season's number one blockbuster!!"

"Don't miss all of Hollywood's hottest Asian socialites as they party under one roof..."

...sex-icon??? holiday season's #1 blockbuster?? Asian socialites?!?!

I gotta hurry and book my $800 promo table now.
