This week has been a really crappy week full of lots of emotional drama, I just hope the weekend is better. Today I am going to go to the bookstore, and just get some fresh air.

im doing an ethnography proj for my anthropology class, and i've picked JB's Friday OT's as my subject! so i started observing everyone's comments since last week's OT, and also jotted down some notes on previous OT's.
i finally decided to tell everyone on OT about this today b/c my professor mentioned we should tell our subjects about what we're doing, and i felt morally obligated to tell you guys. srry about not giving you guys a heads up last week! hope you guys dont mind me doing this!
and on that note, im wondering if i can ask some of you OT frequenters some questions? just to give you guys an idea about the proj, my professor's prompt was this: “Techno-Cultures”

Every weekend has a long list waiting for me to complete but I never manage to do anything. It's a horrible habit I have. This weekend: I need to start two papers; one drafting up a prospectus and the other actual research and hopefully, a paragraph or two into the essay. Then, there's a very belated birthday thing for me (three weeks late bwahaha) and a congratulatory lunch with my aunt and cousin.

And then, of course, watching the two most recent episodes of You're Beautiful :) Ah weekend...how I've longed for you!

@ MEIKO - i believe it's hard to get on the YB page because there are many subbers trying to get the subs done quickly but everyone keeps flooding the page and refreshing waiting for subs to show up. They've actually posted many messages asking us to leave the viikii site and to stop refreshing while they are subbing or else they'll stop subbing. I had no idea about this until i finally was able to get on the YB page last night, saw the messages and bolted - haven't been on since. Figure i'll give them a few days before trying again.

It's the only non-headdesk-inducing drama because it's characters are written with depth and warmth. Unlike other dramas, there's no need to rely on histrionics because nothing's one-dimensional.
It's what I look forward to most on weekends.

I've decided that it's time to try to slowly distance myself from the YB mania that has engulfed my life for the last few weeks and re-focus on my day job that has been grossly neglected during this period.

Hopefully this would serve to a) move items off my work to-do list that has developed into a monster with a life of its own b) minimize any post-traumatic stress disorder I'm going to suffer from when the series ends.

Also, my husband called and he wants his wife back.

I'm gonna start by making sure I don't rewatch ep 11 and 12 this weekend. Baby steps....

@17 Ana - haha yes, OT lives on strong until late into Thursday night.. and then conversations from that previous OT will transfer into the current one. I didn't realize that my first few OTs until i actually started conversing with others instead of doing just one post. And then a whole new world opened up. :) And i FULLY agree with your #2 and #3 post.. Love JGS's eyeliner and i will also be glad to get my life back during Thanksgiving hehe. I often look for to Open Thread Friday.. There has been a lot of diverse and fun discussions in the past. However, since getting hooked on You're Beautiful, I do not like Fridays, Saturdays now Sundays. Wednesday seems so far away!

the drama has been unfolding very nicely.. and guys we are on the home stretch of a wonderful run.

This drama is really climbing my personal drama chart. If it ends well by episode 15, I am giving it the number 1 drama of all time (of course it MY drama rating chart). This drama already won the drama of the year by a landslide just after episode 6.

It seems that after yesterday, I am already preparing myself for the blow that I would expect to hit me once the series ends on the 26th. Surely, this would cause me severe withdrawal symptoms again. Being a little depressed and sad knowing that I won't be seeing them all together anymore as A.N Jells. I would surely miss my countdown of every episode every week. If I can use my christmas wish right now, I'd wish everyday to be a Wednesday and Thursday, just so I can see again this drama. More TK and MN, more of A.N. Jell.

I hope the cast and crew felt our love as their fans, even if the drama did not do well as they (and us) have expected it ratings wise. Let us all enjoy the last 2 weeks of our favorite crack (ahem, drama) of the year. It is really a fun and exciting 2 and so months with you all, lurkers included.

Unfortunately, in the product pictures they don't show the pig-rabbit with the hairclip =( Maybe they'll sell it as an accessory....? haha, I'm *definitely* getting the pig-rabbit as soon as possible. It's so affordable at thirty dollars. Most stuffed animals at any gift-store sells for around there, if it's half as cute as this!

Ah, it's finally the weekend! Too bad I can't even fully relax this weekend. I have to start studying for final exams! My advice to people signing up for university courses: when they suggest you take a max of 5 courses, listen to them. I was overzealous, and now I have 9 classes to sort out. gah!

At least it's been warmer and sunny here lately. Windy at night time though, but that's my favourite time to go out for a walk. Yesterday I took a stroll through the city and took so many random pictures with my new dslr camera. hehe, for some reason I just bought it completely spur of the moment and it was quite expensive too. My parents will probably have a fit when they find out...

I too have become a Family Outing fan. It all started when I watched episodes 65 & 66 Kim Hyun Joong and Seungri were guests. Now I can't stop (nor do I want to).

My weekend plans include watching an episode or two, and to keep searching for the English subbed episodes that ramen soup subs didn't sub. I decided wouldn't watch YB until I have all the episodes subbed by withs2; Family Outing has made this so much easier for me to resist watchingYB.

I've had the week from hell and when I got home last night I went, at 5:30pm, immediately to bed, with my laptop, and watched it.

It was great. I thoroughly recommend it. It would make a good k-drama.... I could easily see it being spun out for 10-12 episodes. I'd like to see more Bollywood dancing scenes in k-dramas. When I say "more", I mean "any". I think one of the things I like so much in YB is that there are random parody MV numbers thrown in from time to time. Little refreshing moments.

Just letting you know that I have been watching Creating Destiny/Making Fate, and I am really enjoying the drama. I have to admit that some of the acting isn't so great but I am really falling in love with this.
At the moment I am looking to see if anyone out there knows of any forums or other sites like DRAMABEANS that is doing recps for the drama.
As I look at it, I am a little more interested in the main leads friend & sister relationship than the actual one in the drama. (kind of reminds me of BBF and the Kim Bum love)
But anyway, just asking, if anyone knows let me know.

Haven't really been able to catch many dramas lately as have been glued to the computer watching animes of my favourite mangas - HYD and Itazura na Kiss. Oh the hilarity of mangas. Now I understand why the drama adaptations were so wacky. Maybe the Hong sisters should write their own mangas/manhwas?? Does anyone have any mangas/manhwas they recommend (similar to the above)?

Only 5 weeks to go before I hit Seoul!! Can't wait.

I also love Creating Destiny! but for me, i still like the main couple better! although I do want the sister to end up with the friend. Unfortunately, because of YAB, I don't appreciate the drama as much as I should.. Like I do fastforward a lot when watching it (I rewatch it in its entirety after I'm done with it) but because YAB has such a good pace that a 36 ep drama tends to drag in comparison...

actually, I do think that your husband has a point.... don't get me wrong, i still think that JGS ans HTK is HOTNESS in its purity but i kinda understand his point of view too.. like my BFF when she first saw JGS, she though he was a girl ?!?!?

as for guys liking dramas... i think it's a lost cause... for my brother, it's an absolute NO... he has been forced by my parents to watch dramas and still detest it... it's too cheesy and messed up for him. as for my father, he got sick of k-drama after a while too (I kinda understand him but YAB totally made me go back to kdrama)

gosh, i sure hope YAB's ending will not be dragging
