Lee Seung-gi cancels concert due to swine flu

Wow, yet another celebrity comes down with swine flu. The latest is singer-actor Lee Seung-gi (Brilliant Legacy), who has canceled his activities for the immediate future as a result of his diagnosis.
According to a broadcast station source on November 11, Lee Seung-gi completed filming for variety show 1 Night 2 Days on November 7, after which he came down with a high fever, headache, and coughing. He was taken to the emergency room of a Seoul hospital where he tested positive for swine flu on the 10th.
Producers have been notified on the programs on which he is a current participant. A rep from the 1 Night 2 Days production team explained that filming occurs once every two weeks for their program, so they are not sure if he will be able to make the next shoot, but they have plenty of footage to be fine for the moment. Lee is also currently co-hosting the SBS variety program Strong Heart with Kang Ho-dong; PD Park Sang-hyuk explained that there is no shooting this week, and they don’t expect too much of a problem for the present.
However, Lee Seung-gi has had to cancel an upcoming concert in LA; he was scheduled to perform at the Hollywood Bowl on November 14 with Sohn Dam-bi and was planning to fly to the States on the 12th. However, his management feels it is prudent to keep him away from conditions where he’d be working with a lot of staff in a public place, and therefore will not be making the trip.

swine flu seems to be making a lot of rounds around the korean celeb world. did you hear abt Lee Kwang-ki's 7-year old son, who passed away. I think he tested positive for swine flu (not sure because there have been varying reports) and died because of some complications with his lungs. =*( I hope everyone who have had contact with Lee Seung-gi keep healthy and hope Lee Seung-gi gets well soon!

Aw, swine flu sure got the whole world. I can't believe he won't be going to the states ): I was so looking forward to the concert, and him being in the same state with me :D I hope he makes up for it with a separate concert.

i'm seriously mad/sad about this!!! what am i going to do with my ticket?
and here i was soooo excited since we got really good tickets.. front row and all!
shoot! welps, i hope he feels better soon so maybe he can do the concert at a later day... that way i'll just hold on to the tickets and have them honor it for his next concert... hahay... darn u, H1N1!!!!!!

awwwwwwww... GET WELL SOON LEE SEUNG GI !!!!!! I hope Son Dambi can handle the concert alone or else I hope they get a replacement..... hmm, what about a Son Dambi and Hwanhee concert?? hahahaha....just a thought.

@3 i was pretty excited to know he'd be half an hour away from me (wow don't i sound like a fangirl) so even though i wouldn't have seen him anyway, this is disappointing. but that doesn't matter at all, i just hope he gets better. he works soo hard i hope he rests up.

I'm also curious about the 1n2d members he was with him for 2 days. close contact is scary especially they tend to feed each other when eating...Hopefully he didnt spread it to them...
I hate this virus hopefully it will just turn to a common cold.......

I am angry and sad at the same time. I've been dying(!!!!!) to see him perform this weekend because it lands in the month of my birthday; he would have been such a TREAT! I've been reeling about it for the past month. :( :(
I don't know how I'm going to sleep knowing he's got H1N1 & I'm not going to see him this Saturday!!

hope he feels better.. i wonder why korean celebs aren't getting the tamiflu considering how many of them got the swine flu and with their hectic schedules as well...
too bad that the whole concert is canceled though.. no son dambi or lee seunggi -_-

a lot of people in korea are getting the swine flu because it is crowded and you find yourself in places with a lot of people, i.e train station, inside subways, etc. unlike here where it is more open spaces and everyone kind of keeps to themselves. but that sucks, I was going to go to the concert too!
