Sunwoo Sun signs on for Will It Snow On Christmas
by javabeans
Sunwoo Sun is one of the unknown faces catapulted to mainstream popularity after her role in this year’s Queen of Housewives. (She played the unhappy wife of another of its breakouts, Yoon Sang-hyun.) She has announced her follow-up role in the SBS drama Will It Snow On Christmas? [크리스마스에 눈이 올까요, a working title], meaning she’ll be forming a love triangle with Go Soo in his television comeback role as well as Han Ye-seul.
The role doesn’t seem to take her very far from her Queen of Housewives character; once again, she’s playing a chaebol, who is the daughter of the CEO of a large-scale corporation. She’s haughty and lives by her own rules, seemingly cold on the exterior but capable of showing passion in the face of love. She has a contentious relationship with Go Soo’s character, with whom she butts heads in everything. Han Ye-seul rounds out the trio as Go Soo’s childhood love.
Will It Snow On Christmas? will take up the Wednesday-Thursday slot currently filled by SBS’s outrageously addictive You’re Beautiful. I admit it doesn’t sound too exciting from the quick summary, but don’t count it out just yet; it comes to us from PD Choi Mun-seok of What Happened in Bali and writer Lee Kyung-hee of I’m Sorry, I Love You.

Hmm... I actually think Seon Woo Sun can do melo better than HYS.
But the again, the draw here is not the actors per se, but the writer and PD combo!

Something about this girl just strikes me the WRONG way. something about her mouth is weird, and she has really manly shoulders which you could see in Queen of Housewives. Add to that the fact that she acted like she was half asleep throughout the entire series, I don't understand her popularity. And the picture you chose of her is really giving me the willies...yikes

To be honest, I didn't like her character at all in QOH. It's that smile/smirk/thingy that she does every minute... it doesn't look natural and it comes off a but irritating. But that was in QOH. I look forward to seeing her performance in Will It Snow On Christmas~

Combo PD of WHIB and writer of MISA? I'm predicting a tearjerker, traumatic ending with Go Soo dying! :D

I think she's gorgeous on camera. Not exactly photogenic (although she's definitely pretty on photos too), but she's REALLY camera-genic!

They are making her sound like your typical crazy secondary character. I really hope this drama won't be full of cliches. But by the sound of:
She’s haughty and lives by her own rules, seemingly cold on the exterior but capable of showing passion in the face of love.
Passion in the face of love? Does that mean she'll get all stalker-ish and crazy when he doesn't return her affection? And a chaebol's daughter? It's been a while since I've seen the typical crazy secondary girl, guess it's time for a rerun.
