Hmm... I think Park Shin Hye could have been a good Geum Jan Di. After seeing her in Tree of Heaven, she definitely can pull off a spunky and hard-working person while acting out the melodramatic parts as well.

I'm looking forward to this drama! But Jang Geun Seok's hair is.... not so hot.

I too, think Park Shin Hye could have been an effective Geum Jan-di, younger (younger-looking as well) and spunkier and as a whole I feel could have pulled off a pretty darn great GJD. Jang Geun-seok as GJP? Hmmm.....I can't imagine anybody but Lee Min-Ho fulfilling that role.

As long as Jang Geun Suk's sideburns remain under control, I'll watch this drama!

actually, I though park shin hye's acting was pretty bad, if not laughable, in GoongS, so I wouldn't be surprised if she butchered Jandi's role. too bad goo hye sun is still be criticized for looking 'too old' for a role, which she won fair and square over park shin hye. poor girl can never catch a break on this site or with most commentators here.

the story line is great! I'm already imagining the scenes when she nees to do both the girl and the boy roles. hahahahha =)

Regarding your question about what if PSH was Jandi, i think (in my opinion) it would have been better.

Well, if you think about it.... most guys in idol groups these days aren't really that manly.... so she can pull it off.

I can see PSH as a better Jan-di... but for Junpyo.... LMH > JGS

Just hoping that this series won't turn out like another Coffee Prince. I.E, once the main guy finds out that the guy is a girl, it loses its sparkle and becomes boring. Oh well...the Hong sisters have impressed me so far, so I'm hoping this'll be another hit *crosses fingers*.

I almost want her male character to be the edgier member who wears eyeliner. Maybe I'm being crazy, but I think she'd look more male with makeup. At the very least pencil her eyebrows so they're not so thin.

Wow, with all the hot mess of the VMA's ... hoping for some good news and I found it in your site. Didn't think I would watch this drama considering it's about idol groups (don't sound right), but from the brief summary above, it's turning out into a genre I personally love reading about in mangas. Crossdressing (even though it's been overdone in Kdramas) will always be my #1 favorite genre especially when it's a spunky girl pretending to be a guy.

This sounds like the manga called Ichigo Channel where the girl pretends to be a guy to join a 3-person boy idol group. Jang Geun Seok and Park Shin Hye are great actors so I'm sure they'll do a fine job. (Though Jang Geun Seok's hair kind of looks weird in the pics)

And people, BOF is over and done with ... stop dissing Gu Hye Sun's performance in BOF because she did her best and BOF is still being talked about today for it's popularity and with credit to Jandi. Everyone >> move on, watch a new drama and stop mentioning things that could never be since no on can turn back time to replace Jandi with a new actress!!

they should take 2PM's Jae Beom's story and make it into a drama. It's sure gonna create a lot of hype!

Really? I think LYW is doing fine as the princess. (Though now see why the PD had originally wanted Sung Yu Ri for this part.) I think the perception was that the child actor of Deokman was better than the adult Deokman.

There are quite a few actresses that I can't stand watching, but I set aside that feeling and try to enjoy the drama or movie for itself. I personally like Go Hye Sun since Pure 19. I would have liked Jang Geun Seok to play either Gun Pyo or Ji Hoon in BOF, but Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong did a good job and BOF helped raise their profiles. Jang Geun Seok has been around in TV dramas longer and wasn't hurt by not being cast for it.

As per drama stylists, some times I just go "What were they thinking?" For example, Cinderella Man is about designing and fashion. Some of the designs were pretty awful and not too original. The wardrobe in Style is "edgier" and more befitting of the concept; although some of the outfits seem out of place during working hours and are more party/night appropriate.

Boybands and other musical groups like to have a distinctive wardrobe style to set them apart, so the pleated baggy pants and man eyeliner is the look designed for this new drama, let it be. Looks like JGS is comfortable with that look and that will benefit his performance. I am surely looking forward to this drama and have fun.

I love the hit-and-miss fashion in Style. Sometimes it fails spectacularly (ughhh can we be done with Dynasty-era shoulder pads already, pretty please?!?) Sometimes it's fierce. But, most of all, it's . . . wait for it . . . With EDGE. (We can have a brutal drinking game everytime Editor Park says that lol)

Cinderella Man gave me Full House flashbacks in regards to some of the clothes. But I love what YEH wears in Lady Castle about 75% of the time. Not really couture but it's the right take on noveau 80s, from accessories to bleed-my-scalp-red hair.

First look at her, and I thought this was another Coffee Prince. But YEH is still the best Eun Chan. PSH still looks a bit girly. But then again, we'll see how she acts.

I have nothing against PSH, JGS and the Hong sisters, but I'm really not that interested in this 'trendy' drama. But hey, I might give it a try, if it sounds interesting.

Ah. BoF again. If JGS was Jun Pyo, I still can't imagine it. LMH was made to be Gu Jun Pyo. If he played Ji Hoo, then, the audience will have a hard time who to choose because I'm pretty sure JGS would be a much more effective Ji Hoo than KHJ. If PSH was Jan Di, well, I still don't know yet because I've only seen this girl in Stairway to Heaven.

Point is, we really should all move on and stop complaining that PSH should have been Jandi when there was a lot of could have been and should have been in that show. Like, for example, KHJ should not have been Ji Hoo, although he improved a lot throughout the series. Which is an appreciated effort, as he is just a beginner. *shields herself from fans* And anyway, BoF really was a hot mess, despite the fun ride.

Which reminds me, belleza said 'this could be Hana Kimi level fun'. Well. I can't say much about it. I love Hana Kimi cause its like crack for me, and it really depends on the plot and actors if they can pull it off. ha. Which makes me wonder if I've read this kind of plot in a manga or saw it in an anime.

I thought JGS wanted to play Jihu not Junpyo? And if PSH got Jandi's role, it would've probably been worse, plus the major flaws with Jandi were the script and directing. I saw Goong S, and PSH is not a better actress than GHS.

The only girl in my opinion that can pull off the boyish look is Yoon Eun Hye :]

These stills give me flashbacks of Amandy Bynes in She's the Man... the most implausible "Girl Dressed as Boy" scenario to date (which I've never quite forgiven my college roommates for making me watch). Anyway,not a convincing disguise at all.

very true BOF is only talked about becoz of LMH. PSH wuda been whole lot better i think ratings would be great but anywzya its only cuda wuda shuda......but moving on HONG sisters are great so this will be a great hit even in bollywood they got one coming out where girl dresses as a boy so can make a cricket team. but never mind i have been way toooo long for PSH to get back on screen she and song hye kyo are my favourite korean actresses. god bless your drama coming out at let it be a SUPER HIT. god bless all
