Luxury cars turn heads in Style
by javabeans
I tend to agree with viewers of SBS’s Style that, despite its title, the fashions and feel of the drama lack a certain stylish flair. (Kim Hye-soo is looking fierce, but everything and -one else feel somewhat bland.) However, the drama sure isn’t skimping on the parade of luxury cars, and are adding yet another in this weekend’s upcoming episode.
Thus far, Kim Hye-soo’s fashion editor character, Park Ki-ja, has been seen driving around a Maserati Quattroporte S, valued at approximately $130,000. Her romantic interest, the famous macrobiotic chef played by Ryu Shi-won, has equally fancy wheels with the Maserati GranTurismo S, valued at approximately $140,000. However, as though that’s not enough, one of the Maseratis gets upgraded in an upcoming episode to a Ferrari.
The Ferrari California is a new model estimated to be priced at around $200,000, and will be featured in Episode 8. In the plot, the publisher character played by Na Young-hee gives the Ferrari as a gift to Kim Hye-soo in order to secure her loyalties. (Damn. If only my loyalties were worth that much.)
A representative with FMK (Official Ferrari and Maserati Importer, Korea) said, “We agreed to the sponsorship because we believe that the Ferrari California’s powerful and luxurious image fits well with the high-class, refined image of the drama and Kim Hye-soo.”

I actually like style though it isn't great :) Kim Hye Soo is awesome!!!!! But the other 3 main actors don't seem to have the same edge ;) yet. But it is a fun drama with a lot of funny minor characters, ;D

They must be desperate if they have to resort to using fancy cars to attracting more viewers. Obviously, the actors aren't doing it.
I find that the fashion in My Fair Lady is much edgier and YEH works it so well. Kind of ironic, since Style was supposed to be about fashion.

if this was 2 months ago i would have said wow. but i just got back from London and I stayed in westminister. lemme tell you, the cars there are no joke. Ferraris, bentleys, rolls royce- EVERYWHERE. There were always at least two (different every time) luxury cars parked just in front my my block's part of the street. and its not like i stayed in a luxury hotel, that the cars' owners would stay at.

Okay. Is Hye Soo the female lead of this drama?
I was refusing to watch because of the other woman (who I don't like) and Ryu Shi Won (even higher on my dislike list), but if Hye Soo is the lead I may be able to convince myself to have a look-see.

yes would be nice to have people talking about the acting or plot rather than the cars they drive. Still It is not an uncommon happening in Kdrama for companies to put up their products to been seen.
In Ryu Shi-won 'Wedding' all Jang Nara's character Sena jewellery was real, loaned out for her from a company, think it was quite a sum in value and caused a few worries from time to time.

I can't seem to grasp the plot for this drama. What's going on?
That car is amazing though. I also wish my loyalty worth that much. Can only dream.

Ryu Shi won?? i don't get it?? this is a stylish drama..he dosen't seem to fit in. why didn't they get any other actor?? they should have gotten someone that was convincing enough to play a guy that 2 girls are going "gaga" about...he looks soo plain and ordinary!
