Behind-the-scene candid shots from Style
by javabeans
Two weeks to go till Style premieres, which means we’re getting lots of news (or rather, “news”) about the drama these days. Maybe the reason I remain lukewarm on the fashion drama is because we’re only getting a glut of pictures, rather than interesting plot tidbits or actual descriptions.
Kim Hye-soo has provided us with another set of photos, this time uploaded to her cyworld mini-homepage. She’s shown on the set playing her deputy editor persona at the drama’s fictional fashion magazine.
Lee Jia plays the newest feature editor and Kim Hye-soo’s subordinate. Style premieres August 1.

is it safe to assume this is the Korean version of Devil Wears Prada? I have literally read nothing about the plot. On the plus side, Kim Hye Soo looks amazing!

I love Kim Hye Soo, she's such a chameleon. And she's not so thin like other celebrities out there. She's known for being a sexy goddess.

the last pic looks like cropped harem pants, which were shown in some collections at the last fashion week (harem pants were shown, i should specify, not cropped harem pants--at lest to my knowledge). Either way, if that is what they are, they're totally not working with the jacket, which needs a clean-lined/sharp-looking skirt to set it off properly.

the cropped harem pants aren't working for her. But she still looks stylish and diva-ish!

New Cultural Trend “Chick Lit” Enjoys Great Popularity
.....As the chick lit culture arrived in Korea, the new genre began to appear in various circles such as publishing, broadcasting and performing art. In the publishing circle, three books titled “Ticket Milano,” “Style” and “My Sweet City” created by writers in their early 30s are garnering public interest and are on the best seller list. “Ticket Milano” is about a female magazine reporter who becomes a ‘shop master’ of a shopping mall, but leaves for Milano to continue her study. “Style” is another success story about a female fashion magazine reporter who has worked for 8 years. “My Sweet City” depicts a 30-year-old female who works at a PR company. Publishing critic Kwon Tae-hyeon explains that the role of the young writers in their 30s was very important in developing chick lit in Korea....

harem pants? IDTS. IMO it's a skirt or a dress with a jacket over it (hence the metal closure at the high waist).

sincerely, the outfits look ugly and weird. if this drama is about fashion and "style", shouldn't the producers hire better stylists to dress the actors/actresses? but kudos to KHS for looking savvy in her clothes even when they don't look amazing.

@12. That makes me wonder what happened to that internet novel phase that sported little sentence structure and many emoticons like 5 years back.....remember Guiyeoni and her writing He Was Cool, A Wolf's Attraction, and Doremifasolatido- which sparked their own movies? At least this chick lit phase will be better written. and it's nice to hear about career and love lives of korean women in their 30s when society demands that they be married before 30 or be doomed to loneliness.

It looks out of proportion -
(the outfit and the physiq - miss match outfit)
could be the wind is blowing when she is acting.
Fashion - disaster.
Change all the wardrobe including the men outfit and get proffesional fashion fitters soon !!!. before airing the drama.
Low budget for wardrobe ?.

Kim Hye Soo looks good especially with that hairstyle but the fashion and wardrobe still needs work. If things don't change soon, 'Style' will be heading for a fashion disaster.
